  1. @ccap41 There we go!! @Stew Rebel doesn't fit in guidelines.
  2. Okay, so I've done this list with only Anniversary Editions- Corvette 427 Collector's Edition (60th Ann) 75th Ann Jeep Grand Cherokee 40th Ann Lamborghini Murcielago 50th Ann Porsche 911 BMW M5 30 Jahre I mean, that's typically what special editions are. Some special color or trim or theme to commemorate an anniversary, motorsport win, production end, etc, etc.
  3. It's just a low-production supercar. What I'm really after here are special or limited edition variants of normal run cars.
  4. Argh. I'm inclined to let the Cobra R slide. It's really a grey area. It's a special edition of the Cobra, but it's still a different car. The One-77 definitely doesn't count, though.
  5. While I really like Audi's new designs, and prefer them to BMW's in most cases, they are certainly just as guilty of repetitive styling as BMW. Look at the new Q5.
  6. Damn, that's ugly. WTF is Honda doing?
  7. Good, fair review. They really did make noticeable improvements to how it drives.
  8. It's pretty. But all that matters is how it drives.
  9. Nice. And fast! Mine is in progress.
  10. Fo 'sho. Like when I see people complaining when they see an article about a balled up supercar and calling the owner an idiot and crying, I'm like I=*(# that, at least it went out doing what it was intended to do. Better that than to waste away in a garage.
  11. Okay guys, I'd really like to see some more participation in these. The last one had almost no replies.I'm trying to motivate some extra action in here. This installment of UDG is going to feature a premise that I really have no idea how it hasn't dawned on me before. This edition will be strictly limited to special editions of different sorts. Whether it's an Anniversary Edition, Commemerative Edition, Collector's Edition, Final Edition, whatever. Only limited edition models allowed. Rules- 1)Maximum of 5 vehicles. 2)Production vehicles only. 3)Any era and market is allowed. 4)These are your only vehicles. 5)NO normal series production models!! Example- a Mustang Cobra SVT doesn't count. A 2003 10th Anniversary Cobra would. Have fun, hopefully you guys really dig around for this one.
  12. It really is appalling.
  13. @dfelt Of course the Mission E should take priority, but they should be developing this car alongside it. Or at least with it in mind. It'll help recoup costs by having components shared among platforms and applications.
  14. This. Nobody wants to pay $500-1,000 for Nav that needs a $200 update every 2 years to stay semi-accurate. That's not even touching the bigger problem. Many of these nav systems just suck to use. Poor graphics, glitchy and slow operation, terrible voice recognition, dreadful user-friendliness, tiny screens, bad directions are some issues that plague many a Mfr's OEM nav systems. As for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, they work very well, but so far, makers are slow to integrate these features. Many, such as Toyota, just seem to be adamant about using their own systems, which are woefully outdated and inferior in operation. It's like they've decided they are capable of outdoing everyone else, when in reality they just all need to start with a clean slate.
  15. Somebody goes and makes an S7 replica out of a C5 Z06. LINK I want some of what these guys were smoking.
  16. This is surprising. This car is a no-brainer. They already have the technology in place. And it ties into their race car a few years back nicely.
  17. That Bottle Green is a lovely color, indeed. Going back to the pricing talk, used Beetles are outrageous values. Not much money gets you a lot of car.
  18. As long as I can keep my gas-powered cars and still drive them freely, I honestly couldn't care less. That said, it won't happen.
  19. This car was better than the one that replaced it in 2012 in all honesty.
  20. Aligns pretty closely with my thoughts on the car. It's not a perfect, nor entirely practical, package, but it's unique, fun, and more practical than it needs to be. The 2.0T is a gem, and very tunable. When you take into account how crazy cheap you can buy these things, they really do make for fun, enticing options as daily drivers. I love them with a drop and some wheels. The shape lets you go all out retro- or contemporary- Here's a RWB Beetle-
  21. Not one exotic or supercar? Son, I am disappoint.
  22. 918 and P1 weren't made for 2017 MY year. I checked, lol.
  23. Well, it's not a risky assessment by any means, but I'm calling it now- this will be a smashing success, and will reinvigorate VW's standings in the market. The upcoming new Tiguan will bolster it.
  24. Yeah, I read that earlier. Their review is very similar to mine. We differ in opinion on the brakes and dampers, however. I thought the brakes were pretty good for such an application. I've driven much sportier cars with worse. As for the damping, it allows too much body movement for my liking. Regarding the weight, there's absolutely no reason for this car to weigh as much as it does. It's a full size-class up in weight. The TT V6 and AWD aren't legit reasons. These things aren't exactly dripping in luxury accouterments and rolling on 20's.
