  1. I guessed Bolt, Ford Super Duty, and Q7. Very surprised at the GLC win.
  2. Join the crowd buddy. A house is first on the list for us.
  3. I'll take a Rav Limited Hybrid here. Otherwise, besides maybe a V6 Cherokee Trailhawk, I'm going straight to the premium segment, or a size up.
  4. Not much of a Miata fan, but sweet buy. Should make for some fun drifting this winter!
  5. Yes. And unless they sharpened the suspension and steering, there's nothing really too compelling here. I mean, it does look kinda cool, but still. The 2.0T and a 6MT as options would have been nice offerings.
  6. SVT Raptor 1964 Lincoln Continental Converible CTS-V Wagon Camaro Z/28 Ford GT
  7. Both 997's I mentioned were built in lower numbers than the new R.
  8. @oldshurst442 If I had done a WWII specific list, that be my exact one!!
  9. Historically, they have done paint-to-sample even on their very limited production runs like the 997 GT3 RS 4.0, Carrera GT, 997 Speedster, etc.
  10. You pay them extra and they paint the car whatever damn color you please, lol.
  11. @ccap41 Paint-to-sample, my friend, PTS. Porsche does it as good as anyone.
  12. It is pretty much unanimously agreed upon in the auto circles that no other sport sedan can rival the Panamera's overall driving dynamics. That's what you're paying for. An E Class and a Panamera don't have equal levels of cachet in most buyers' eyes. Panameras are made for Porsche buyers as much as they're made for a given market segment.
  13. I'd take Guards Red w/ only the tape stripe in black w/ white 'Porsche'. No over-stripes for me.
  14. Everyone here knows I am a big Porsche fan. But I am also a big (though not as) Lamborghini fan. The 580-2 Huracan is a massively, massively appealing car to me. I love the looks, I love the V10, I love the straight line thrust. I also love the R8 for some of the same reasons, plus the added ability of having a car that can easily be driven daily. In the end, though. I'd have to pick the 911 R. As much as I love some others in this price point, I feel this car is truly, truly very special. The kind of car that will be looked back upon in 25 years as quite possibly the greatest real driver's car of this era. That will bring 7 figures in the not too distant future. And in a way, I even love it's 'plain' looks. Stunning though the Bull and Ringed techno-wonder are, this is a car that forgoes loud aesthetics in the name of functionality and performance. It doesn't need them. That has it's own sort of appeal. You could drive this car to a C&C, and on the way, only get a passing glance as 'just another 911', and then have grown men go total 'Taylor Swift fangirl' mode. It's a car for only those in the know. On a side note, the new Aston doesn't do much for me. I find the outgoing Vanquish and even DBS to be far better looking. I could really pick that car's design apart, especially in the picture posted of it.
  15. So that should make- RS1 RS3 RS4 RS5 RS6 RS7 TT RS Q3 RS Q5 RS That only makes 9. If they're already counting the R8, 10. So to fill 5 more vacancies would mean a Q7 RS is likely, as well as an RS8 and Q2 RS, even. That's still only 13. If they made an RS5 Sportback and counted that, that'd be 14. That seems to indicate there is something else coming that will be itself based on an all new model. Interesting.
  16. As much as the actual military-oriented ones were, I planned on doing an auto one for the occasion. In honor of Veterans Day, it will be based upon Domestic nameplate vehicles. Rules- 1) Maximum of 5 choices. 2) These are your only vehicles. 3) Production cars sold in the US only. 4) Cars must be a model name or at least generation that is NO LONGER BUILT- this is the Veteran part, obviously. 5) As long as the vehicle is no longer on sale, any era is allowed. Happy Veterans Day, and enjoy!!
  17. One of only a few tests I've seen with test results on the new 911 R- C&D 911 R Test Of course, this car is the anti-numbers sports car. Some may like that, others may not. Base price is $185,950, as-tested was $198,695. Now, this car is sold out already, and most brought far more than that, but were going to work with a range based off these numbers. Rules... 1) You choice must be a NEW, on-sale-now MY 2016 or 2017 sports/super car. 2) This is obviously a toy car. Assume your daily needs are already met. 3) Your car of choice MUST have an MSRP of at least $180,000 and NO MORE THAN $230,000.
  18. And yet it will still leave the Benz for dead in a straight line and on a back road. I like this new generation much more than the last, but I have to say, I think I'd rather just pocket some change and have an S8 +.
  19. Anyone's guess. For '17 MY, there isn't a Performance Pkg. The Sport, SE, and Autobahn have all the equipment it's comprised of as standard. The S doesn't offer it at all. On my car- 2016- it was a $1,495 option. Well worth it for upgraded brakes and an LSD. The power bump- 10 hp (supposedly)- I couldn't have cared less about. Everything. Everything is great. The ride, the handling, the practicality, the refinement, the mileage, the user-friendliness, the enjoyment level of driving it. It's like a car that instead of getting a 100% in one or two things, and mediocre scores in other areas, it consistently scores above 90% across the board. This quite possibly just made my next purchase decision easier. Or harder. 7sp DSG, power bump, larger touch screen, LED lights. Sounds good. Offer it in some bolder colors this time around and optional 19's, and it'd probably seal the deal. Or maybe I'll just go R. That yellow is hot.
  20. It's easily competitive for one more. Two is stretching it. If they are on the short side of duration, shouldn't be too bad, but still. Resting on laurels is never a good thing.
  21. I think the current automotive scape- in terms of overall design, power plant, etc- will be greatly different in the next 10 years, for sure. So I don't think it's necessarily that dire, but I definitely feel they are diminishing their brand image lowering their value. When you're building $32k stripper models to get people in $300 a month leases in order to have as many of your badges roaming the streets as possible, you are traversing a slippery slope with regards to being a 'luxury' brand. Your product can only become so commonplace before people have no aspirations to own it any longer.
  22. This is one of the best, most well-written opinion pieces I've read among the car publication circles in quite some time. Take a bit to read this- Build the Brand, Burn the Brand and let me know what your thoughts are on the matter. I think it almost perfectly sums up my stance. I've said it time and again with regards to BMW, Mercedes, and the like. When you build and sell so many cars, your product inevitably begins to lose it's cachet and exclusivity that make people desire it in the first place.
  23. Jezus f@#k, they can make a business case for this, but not a the Rocketman?!?!
  24. @ykX Awesome list, though the Osprey shouldn't count.
