Nissan News: Rumorpile: Nissan To Debut U.S. Spec Qashqai At Detroit
Frisky Dingo replied to William Maley's topic in Nissan
There's obviously a spot in the lineup. But jeez, I'm over the CUV craze. -
That's Cali for you.

I like them better in white than the gold. It would have been awesome if they had put 2.0T's in them and made them AWD.

Subaru News: Next Subaru WRX Isn't Arriving Till 2020
Frisky Dingo replied to William Maley's topic in Subaru
What of the STI? The current car is beyond stale and uses components and tech that is behind the times. It's like they just did a redo of the 03 car. That car was great 10-13 years ago. Today, it's simply outclassed. By it's own 'little' brother WRX, for starters.- 2 replies

I saw a new Octane Red one w/ the Blacktop Pkg last night and that thing looked incredible. It was totally clean, and sitting one car in front and to the right of me at a light. I couldn't stop staring.

Realistically, you can expect 3K + off. I might be able to manage more for you. I'm at Dean Team VW in Kirkwood. We're right on Manchester just a little east of Lindbergh/Hwy 61. If nothing else, stop buy to check out the cool shit we got on our showroom right now- Cayman GT4, Aston Vantage V12 S 7MT, Ferrari California T, Maserati Gran Turismo MC, Tesla Model X, etc. If the weather is decent, my boss may drive his new 488 in.
-
I think that car is a rolling box of 'meh'.

The Sport is new for MY '17. It's essentially an 'S' model w/ Push-to-Start/Keyless Entry added, htd cloth plaid seats, Lighting Pkg standard, and Perf Pkg standard. Perf Pkg is the (claimed) 10hp bump, upgraded (Golf R) brakes, and E-LSD. The only drawback to Sport is no foglights, but that's a pretty minor deal. As for cost, a 6MT Sport will MSRP for 29 and change, $1,100 more for a DSG car. But there's incentives on them, and if you were interested, I'll net-net one out for you. They have Sign and Drive going right now, too. No first payment or fees on leases through the end of the month. Though I know you're at the mercy of the insurance mostly regarding your timeline.

Come see me, I'll whore out a GTI for you. I can sell you a new one for less than I'd need for mine, lol. I think you would love the new Sport. Has Performance Pkg and Lighting Pkg standard, unique wheels, etc. If I were buying one over again, I'd get a Sport.

So glad Christmas is over. I got shit gifts as always. I'm glad I don't have to deal with it for another year. I hate it with every fiber of my being.

Well, he's kidless, at least. That's enough right there.

For the love all things sacred, do NOT buy another soulless CUV. You're a young single male, for krisesakes.

Good. Anyone with half an ounce of common sense could establish that VW didn't want these cars back stripped of as much of their parts as one could get off while still leaving it drivable.

Chevrolet News:2018 Chevrolet Corvette To Sport A 6.2L DOHC V8
Frisky Dingo replied to William Maley's topic in Chevrolet
I love a good sounding pushrod V8, but nothing beats a high-revving DOHC one. Ferrari's, Maserati's, and Aston's in particular sound spectacular. -
Chevrolet News:2018 Chevrolet Corvette To Sport A 6.2L DOHC V8
Frisky Dingo replied to William Maley's topic in Chevrolet
This is obviously going to go into a mid-engine Corvette. The ZR1 is far too along for it to be receiving this engine. It just doesn't make sense. That said, I do wonder if they would put this in anything other than a Corvette. I can't see it going in the Z/28 due to cost, but I could see Caddy getting this in a few models. -
Damn, dude. That sucks. Glad you're okay. You should have gone to get checked out afterwards. Far too often signs of serious injury don't really manifest until hours later or maybe even the next day. It's far better to be safe than it is sorry. Especially if it's not your fault. If nothing else, they probably would give you some muscle relaxers and good pain meds to help you through the next few days. The next day is always the worst. You'll be feeling it tomorrow, trust me. Make sure you give us reviews of your rental.

What's your most feared driver stereotype?
Frisky Dingo replied to Drew Dowdell's topic in The Lounge
Hmm. Good thing I don't meet any of those criteria. -

Young female drivers. They are just abysmal. Really old people, too. Poking along, wandering lanes, not using mirrors, just serving as rolling road blocks. Ugh. -
Quick Drive: 2016 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat
Frisky Dingo replied to William Maley's topic in Reviews
Awesome car, but as others have said, I think the Scat Pack is the sweet spot for this model. I'm spending 70K elsewhere, sorry. -

Everyone. 9.99999999 out of 10 drivers completely suck. -
Two of my biggest beefs have already been covered- One is the bundling of numerous individual options in a package or trim at the expense of standalone options. You end up either having to pay a bunch of money for options you don't care about to get a few you do, or forgo the options the you want. Example, on my GTI, I had to get the SE to get the Fender audio system and Push Start/Keyless Entry. That was all I cared about. But that was bundled with leather, a sunroof, heated seats and a few other bits. If ala carte options were available, my GTI would have standard plaid cloth seats, Keyless Entry/Start, no sunroof, the Fender system, dual zone A/C, full power seats, Performance and Lightning Packages. The second is engine options like @Stew mentioned. An LT1 V8 in a base LS Camaro would be awesome. As would a 2.0T Passat R Line. A 4.0-powered basic 911 C4 w/ a manual would be amazing. The other thing that I will bring up is paint colors. Most color palettes are terribly limited, and the colors there are are almost all some shade of white, silver/grey, metallic red. So fuck ing boring. You even see it on a lot of high-end and sporty cars. Give us some oranges, yellows, greens, browns, bright blues, purples, etc. Something to liven up the roads instead of the drab shit we're stuck with now.

Eh. I love 80's music and electronic music but those 2 don't really do it for me. The first one is too sci-fi and static. The second one is better, but too upbeat and cheery. I like my synth darker and heavier.

Just 2. Bought a new 2015 Chrysler 200 Limited, and then traded it in on a new 2016 Chrysler 200 C 6 months later. He's now a year into a 72 month open-ended lease!

You think that's bad, you should see what he's buried in.
