  1. I just a Jetta TDI Cup. Bad.
  2. Last week I got to drive a 14 V6 S, 15 V8 S, and a 17 SVR over the course of a few days. Love, love, LOVE these cars.
  3. The new DB11 is pretty far down the list for me for fast pseudo-GT's. I'd take an outgoing Vanquish, a Conti GT, or even the AMG GT S all over the DB11. Take an F Type, too.
  4. Audi has no business playing in this realm. At one point, this could have been a great parallel with the R18 Prototype racer, but that chip has sailed. Audi needs to focus on making their meat and potatoes products better than ever. If they want to do something special, give us that damn Quattro Sport Concept they keep teasing and then shelving.
  5. One of the few models of BMW I still like. These are shockingly good fun to drive. And they are crazy cheap on the used market.
  6. That is quite looking. An improvement over the current one, I'd say. On a side note, the base model is now doing 0-60 in 5.6 seconds?!? And given Porsche's known conservatism, in reality it's probably 5.3. That's nuts.
  7. Why would he take his Audi to a VW dealer for service?? And why should expect anything other than a VW as a loaner??
  8. It's unfortunate, but the writing for this was on the wall long ago. As soon as they announced production would be in Europe, this thing stood 0 chances of being imported here. This would have to be too low in price to be competitive, and it would not be feasible from a cost standpoint after transportation. Maybe we will see a variant produced here or in Mexico for our market. VW would be stupid to ignore this segment completely. The Tiguan is far too big and expensive to entice buyers of the subcompact class.
  9. Calling another lame FWD based CUV a Blazer is a disgrace. GM has no shame.
  10. This thread highlights another reason why Cadillac trails other luxury players. You take your ATS in to get serviced, and you get a Cruze for a loaner. Lol, what a damn joke. Imagine taking in your Lexus LS for service and getting a Corolla loaner. Or a 7 Series and getting a base MINI for a loaner. Awful. Oh, and yes, the new Cruze is a total snooze fest. It's a little big car. That's about all it has going for it.
  11. You know, I gave some more thought to this, and I firmly believe it's even dumber that I initially thought. This is a worse naming scheme than either BMW or MB by a landslide. Just so, so dumb.

  15. Drew wanted this one, so I'm obliging him and I expect great things!! This one will use odd engine layouts, regardless of size, aspiration, cylinder count, power, etc. They just must be an odd layout. Rules- 1) These are your only vehicles. 2) Must have been semi-street legal and production. I say this because I know there were some pretty odd creations back in the 10s, 20s, 30s that really straddle this line. Use good judgement here. No racecars, pure concepts, etc. 3) Must have an unconventional layout- that means NOT a V, not an H, and not an I configuration. You can use a W, a Slant, a radial, rotary, whatever. 4) Any era and market is allowed. 5) Once you choose a top 5, you can expand to 10. * I am going to make an amendment and allow select V engines, so long as they are an abnormal engine count- V-twin, V4, etc. NO 6's, 8's, 10's, 12's or 16's.
  16. Well, at any rate, good to see you back and I hope you stick around. I always enjoyed your posts in the Dream Garage threads. Of which, there are many new ones, btw.
  17. I mean, the specs are good. But so are every other competitors'. It'll be all about the drive, and BMW has gotten that wrong far more than they have gotten it right lately.
  18. The sister thread to the earlier one. I'll get right down to business here. Rules- 1- Production cars only. 2- Any era and market is allowed. 3- These are your only vehicles. 4- Choices must be greater than 4.0 liters of displacement, meaning AT LEAST 4.1 5- Naturally aspirated engines only. 6- No Hybrids. 7- You have 5 choices, but can add 5 more after doing a Top 5.
  19. What is going on with @ccap41??? Haven't seen him post in some time, and it said he couldn't receive msgs either. Strange.
  20. Looks fantastic. But how will it drive?
