In the end I think it's just going to boil down how much fun I have at low speeds, which is where the Miata is going to shine, and where the Mustang is going to likely be boring by comparison. Yes this is serious. These are my two favorite new cars out today, but I can only afford one (duh). Given I won't be in the market for one in a couple of years (or sooner if I get restless), I still need to keep myself amused. Yes, need. I like the base models. The Mustag is a base model. I can get everything I want and nothing I don't with the way Ford packaged it. The same cannot be said for the Miata. So here's the comparo of the Sport (base) vs. the Club (Enthusiast's choice). Sport -Standard radio w/ Bluetooth -Basic power options standard (PL, PW, PS, A/C) -Lightest option possible Club -Bilstein dampers -Strut Tower Brace -LSD -Body-color painted door sills -10mm wider tires on larger wheels -Touchscreen radio interface -Blind spot system -Rain-sensing wipers -other useless electronic crap. Basically I want the Sport, with the first five things I listed on the Club. That's my biggest gripe with the Miata. In order to get the options I want, I have to upgrade to the trim with half of the crap I really DON'T want. So go ahead, vote away and please add to the list of pro's and con's. Right now the Miata is winning my heart, but that may be the hype with the reviews coming out recently.

As long as it stays in the family, I say do it. Have him front the costs of getting it driving again so you can drive it whenever you visit!

GoPro's actually make pretty for bad dashcams. Getting a purpose-built camera instead of a GoPro would be a cheaper and easier alternative.

Mainly I wanted something affordable and reliable. Sure the ammo isn't the cheapest, but I'm getting a good deal on a used police-issue handgun. The gun itself with three magazines and night sights for $350. Standard black. Nothing too fancy. Like I said, it'll be my first firearm purchase. This doesn't mean I haven't been around guns before, I just have never had one in my name.

I've got one. Didn't shell out for anything too fancy, but I did make sure to get something with a battery and good picture quality. I had bought another camera before my current one for $12 on eBay just to try it out and see if I liked having it. When it broke, I felt powerless and afraid. I have been driving years without one, but as soon as I lose the one I just bought I felt paranoid. All depends on the amperage load. If you're going to use LED's then you could get by with smaller gauge wire. If you're going to use incandescent bulbs with, say, a resistance of three Ohms each would give the total resistance of 1 Ohm for a circuit wired in parallel. This would give you a 6 Amp load on the circuit, which means you could probably still get away with small ass wire. I'd go 18 AWG and not think twice about it, but you can go smaller. Fourteen feet of 18 AWG wont even give you a tenth of an Ohm of resistance in that run.

Nothing will be able to touch the Maxima's of a few generations prior. It was pretty light, and you could get the potent VQ 3.5L with a six-speed manual. I remember those things being able to pull hard.
