  1. The 18 F-150 4x4 with FX4, 5.0, and 10 speed auto in a regular cab short bed is awfully tempting, as long as that stupid lower spoiler can be removed in the front like it can on GM trucks.
  2. It has been up month over month for a while now. i wonder if the death of the 2 door golf is helping. Honestly, if VW could get the reliability and quality under control, i would be a VW fanboy.
  3. Like was said, it is about appeal. LOTS of -people actually like the size of the Challenger of the fact it will actually hold 5 people and has a nice size trunk. The 15+ interior is easily one of the best out there period.
  4. FIat sucks of course, but everywhere else was actually pretty damned good. between he Grand Caravan and the Pacifica they moved nearly 30k minivans! Even with some of the Jeeps being down (The Patriot has been out of productions for a few months now), sales were still great.
  5. Both interiors are great, but the Challenger just seems more high class (talking the 15+ interior only BTW). I am really intrigued by the new RS5 with it's 450 HP TT 2.9 V6 and updated AWD system. And the R8, OMG, just getting to sit in a 1st gen, I loved that car. So thoughtful, tons of interior room for my 6 foot tall self, just an amazing supercar made for everyday.
  6. Been in them all. The Challenger offers MASSIVELY better visibility than the 5th or 6th gen Camaro. Plus, the Camaro interior is just awful compared to Challenger and mustang. The dash is ugly and cheap while the Mustang and Challenger offer nicely styled interiors and better visibility.
  7. Very true. i think they should do a widebody shaker, amp it up to 500HP even and call it the Shaker 500. Black shaker on the hood with a black spoiler, the widebody kit and different style of 20 inch wheels, maybe with 5 solid spokes instead of split, maybe Crager SS style, but in black. Starting with the Scat Pack based Shaker, this should be able to happen for the low 50s, maybe even 49995 lol
  8. Not so much . the released performance specs compared to the non widebody. 2 seconds quicker on a 1.7 mile track, 10.9 1/4 mile, .97G om the skidpad, new Epas steering system with multiple settings, 15.4 inch 6 piston breaks with 305mm wide tires all the way around should putt the puppy down pretty good. i have been shocked about how different a 15+ Challenger and Charger compares to the older ones. Even the base V6 feels like a totally different car and the interior is easily te best of the 3. And the fact is 99% will get in a straightline tussle on the street while maybe 1% of either 1LE drivers or Hellcat drivers will ever tackle a road course. For me? it is the Hellcat. You can see out of it, it has room aplenty, 5 seats, a big trunk, and looks menacing as hell. The point is, get what your heart wants whatever it is.
  9. That is certainly different. I would love to see them expand on the Corolla barnding like they did in the 80s. you had a FWD hot hatch and a rwd sport coupe along with tons of other versions of the Corolla.
  10. Had to gocheck myself and they indeed have a 15 grand markup...... and it was in the process of being sold. it looks far better in person than in pictures, at least in grey. that said, I fell for the black SI sedan that was actually pretty tasteful looking. And no markups on the SI haha. When I am ready to trade (probably a year or so from now) I was wantin a Modern Steel coupe, now I am in love with the black sedan.
  11. I still plan on checking it out if I can, but was talking to a coworker (has a 17 hatch) that has already checked it out and they are asking sticker with no markup and apparently they have already sold one.
  12. Very true. And everybody loves the bug.
  13. Basically the same as my 12 Turbo (12 and 13 turbos were renamed R-Line in 14 when the base cars got the 1.8 turbo) The R-lines did get 10 more HP though the torque stayed the same. . I love driving mine and love he room. Did you get the manual or DSG?
  14. Will do. i may stop this evening if they aren't closed yet.
  15. This is a sharp combo. You get the 18s as well? How is yours optioned up?
  16. I despise dealer markups. I like this car more and more. local dealer has a grey Type R already in their showroom. I need to check it out.
  17. I meant controlling markup, but that works too lol.
  18. This should start a trend for all dealers
  19. Yep, only use 93 in it. My big 3 things to fix are the intake, window, and washer fluid. I also fresh spark plugs to go in it. I have also wondered if maybe there is a better made aftermarket intake manifold design available. And the narcissist in me likes getting stopped by random strangers gushing over the bug lol. My brother gets POed because the Caddy doesn't get the same attention.
  20. That is one thing I love about the bug. It has more interior room than a 10 inch longer Civic or a 20 inch longer ATS coupe! i know the 14+ R-Lines got a few more ponies and the ability to run on 87 too, so I think that was a big upgrade and I think window issues were mainly a 12 thing.
  21. Very nice. And like I said i love it. R-Line is supposed to be even better though with a better sorted suspension and styling updates. I have to admit that trading for a R-Line with a Sunroof has been a huge temptation and maybe start with less than 53k miles.
  22. Seen some testing of it and it is pretty bad. The Nissan is, no surprisingly, the worst in this segment.
  23. Because of the light weight the Type R is pretty equal to the RS in power to weight while having a considerably better power to weight than a golf R or WRX STi for example. And 35k is fully loaded, there are no options so of course he will ALL be stickered around 35k. Yes, some dealers will want a premium, but that happens with all new specialty cars. Also, it is far more than a little roomier than the Camaro and Mustang Thanks to it's hatch design it has more cargo room than the Mustang and Camaro combined. And is there even an opion for for full LED lighting on the Mustang or Camaro? A V6 Camaro or EB Mustang with the options to make hem equivalent to the Type R would be 40k or better. That is also a far more apples to apples comparison a stock 35k Mustang GT or 38k 1SS is a pretty basic car comparatively. As for VW, love them. love the looks, the drive, the simple interior designs, and the way they go and tunability. They are missing the quality mark though That is only reason why I have buyer's remorse on my bug. It is a joy to drive, I get compliments everywhere I go on it, nothing on the road looks like it, and i love having streaming bluetooth audio and wireless bluetooth calling without having to deal with a touchscreen. I have put 20k miles on it and the total miles are only 74k I am having wa too many issues for that low of mileage. That is why the the SI is on my radar. The SI is a hell of a deal too. The only one to come close to the kit for the money is the Hyundai Sonata Sport. If VW had Honda/Toyota reliability I would never own anything else.
  24. This car is really growing on me. They have done a great job and all the parts basically serve a purpose. I disagree about the mustang having a nicer interior and it simply will not have the people and cargo carrying ability of this. Not to mention, matching it feature for feature would take you well into the 40k rang for the mustang GTe. After watching the reviews I am interested in what will happen to this engine in it's upcoming Accord tune.
