The 300 just looks amazing. I do wish the interior conveyed a bit more personality. It just seems sort of bland to me.

Very true, that was the only day of the sale then. It was weird because everyone was freaking. out because it was supposed o be uber bus, then nothing. I will be going to Wal Mart Thursday, but not for me haha. I have terrible anxiety and those crowds kill me. What i want will be coming from the internet.
-
I work for a local cellular company. I did the Wal-Mart thing back in 04, had to be there on thanksgiving and everyone had to be there at 6 on black Friday. It was a dead year that ear though and spent most of the time pretended to straighten up shelves.

Sounds like an idea to me

With the exception of the trailhawk I was trying to think of things nobody else would choose. I could literally drive myself nuts in this bracket lol.
-
Land Cruiser?
-
Tried to not make all of these things I usually choose haha. 16 Beetle R-Line 6 speed SEL (love my bug, but this has slightly more HP, better tuned suspension, sunroof, lighting package etc that mine is missing). 17 was out of the question because of no manual and I don't care for the new black cladding on the R-Line. 210 HP Grand Cherokee Trailhawk diesel 240 HP 2005 Impala SS 240 HP. Just because I have a soft spot for these 2004 SRT4 230HP 1992 Spirit R/T 224 HP

I must think on this. You are right so many great ones fit Right into this bracket it is going to be tough!!!!

So, we have technically been around the same page the whole time haha. the extended cab/V6 is my preference anyway lol.

2018 Toyota C-HR Is Their Take On the Nissan Juke: Comments
Stew replied to William Maley's topic in LA Auto Show
Not feelin it. the style has started to grow on me, but no manual or even conventional auto, no AWD, and a weak powertrain? no thanks. Give it AWD, around 200 turbocharged HP, and a nice AWD system and then we could talk.- 12 replies

2017 Jeep Compass Replaces Two Models With One: Comments
Stew replied to William Maley's topic in LA Auto Show
FCA has pretty well worked all the issues out. 16+ models are a HUGE difference compared to the 14 to 15s with the 9 speed. I was hoping for the new Turbo 4, maybe later though since I am sure the lions share of initial production will go to the Wrangler.- 27 replies

A 2 inch lift kit and bigger tires are an integral part of the equation

I have scraped the sidesteps and the tow hitch on the Dakota more than a few times haha. If i ever get to do what I REALLY want to with the 4x4 Dakota.........

Metal strips that go under the rockers to protect them. They provide the protection without the bulky steps that can decrease ground clearance and scrape all over the place. Also known as rock sliders.

You are right, i thought i had added more options when i built it to get over 46k, but turns out the only thing I added above that was that bednet. usually when i price out i am adding bedliners, bed covers and such haha. Really the only things i would want on a base Z71 from the trail boss is the sport bar and LED lights and the more aggressive tires. i would MUCH rather have rock rails than sidesteps.

True and considering you can get a Z71 Trailboss 4x4 V6 for just under 40 grand, I still stand by my roughly 45k starting price

True, the Bug and Camry will be with us for a while, but i love thinking about the next vehicle especially considering what will serve best from the used market s I don't like buying new. The bug has kind of opened my up to this class of vehicle as I enjoy the torque,, maneuverability, and the squirt and shoot ability that provides in concert with the small size.

It is a matter of suspension and ground clearance. These trucks have to be sprung softer to handle the rigors of driving quickly over unpaved surfaces. This is why the payload on the Raptor depending on cab is slightly worse or only slightly better in the payload department. Towing on the supercab Raptor is only 500 more pounds than the ZR2 as well.
