  1. As the voice in your head says "do it"
  2. I think they emit pheromones lol
  3. Destroyer Grey on the 17 Challenger looks amazing in person.
  4. My VW makes boost at partial throttle, given with the manual transmission i do have control over where i let the RPMs climb to. An interesting note. In my 2WD 4.7 HO/5 speed Dakota that is modified I have to shift out of 5th going over some of the mountains here while in 6th in the Beetle I do not have to downshift and even have some juice in reserve. That seems to be a great effect of it having some boost built even though I am only at enough throttle to hold a steady speed. Also, FI vehicles are also less effected by elevation. That said I am still a huge fans of NA engines and thinks certain cars would stick with these (Vette being one) instead of smaller turbo motors. Sometimes it is all about the character of the vehicle he engine is in.
  5. I feel oddly devastated about the passing of Carrie Fisher.
  6. Be careful CCap, once the VW DNA is in your blood it has you hooked and the effect is even worse with any sport Golf Talked to a guy on Christmas Eve who has a nice new Golf R and told me about all the GTis he had previously
  7. This was an Abarth so i am sure that helped lol.
  8. Saw my first new Fiat 124 yesterday and i must say pictures do not do this car justice.
  9. Haha. I am not really religious. For me it has always been the one time a year he family generally gets together, though not as much as i used o as many have passed in he last few years.
  10. TUrbo engines have a lot to do with tuning and turbo size when it comes to how it feels. The Fusion my brother had for a while had excellent torque and low end without having to go anywhere near WOT. My 2.0T VW and even his old A5 both suffered turbo lag but certainly have a more stout top end and mid range feel than the 2.0EB in the Fusion.
  11. The shift is because it puts less clutter on the center console and offers more rooms. you couldn't do such before shifters went electronic. Jag and Ford (at least on the 17 Fusion) both the dial and Lincoln uses push buttons (at least on the MKS).
  12. Hope everyone has a good one.
  13. All the morons around here that drive while high or think ATVs are excellent or even legal forms of transport on public roads........
  14. Dude that sucks, but you are okay and that is the important thing. THought I was going to get it today myself when a car decided to use a turn lane to pass me (they had to be doing 70+ in a 45) on a 2 lane with traffic coming the other direction.
  15. Just because i can't afford it doesn't mean I won't lust after it. Hellcats, Grand Sports, Orlando Bloom in his elf ears........
  16. generally across all car manufacturers, quit restricting the more powerful engine options to specific trims. You used to be able to get a V6 Camry even in LE trim, but not your are restricted to XSE or XLE, same with the Malibu and only offering the 2.0T on the Premier trim for 17. Those are just 2 examples but the list is long.
  17. Yep and the Hellcat wheels too and in that new Destroyer Grey.........
  18. So, the local CDJR dealership now has new Fiats apparently. maybe they have figured out the limited boutique showrooms was a bad idea and are extended their dealership network. So far they only have 500Xs
  19. Great review. Really hope they give you a Daytona 392 to try next year. Hellcat brakes, tires, and suspension with the 6.4 for around 45k.
  20. Sounds like how it goes with me. RIght now there are 5 vehicles in my driveway. 1999 Silverado SZ71, 01 Dakota Motorsports 4.7/manual, 2004 Dakota 4x4, 2011 Camry LE 4 cylinder, and the 12 Turbo Bug. Previous vehicles include 2 MN12 T-Birds, 2 V8 swapped S-10s, 3 Talon TSi AWD, a 96 Roadmaster, 93 Fleetwood, 96 Caprice, Grand Prix GTP and more haha.
  21. Unfortunately this is so true. In the last couple years there have been multiple cases here of people running through buildings (especially Subway restaurants for some reason lol) because they can't tell the difference between the gas and brake pedal and they haven't moved in 100 years haha.
  22. The rotary is totally different than the original 8 speed shifter in the 12-15 Charger and 300s. Where it first appeared in the Ram it is designed to be clear and easily usable with gloves. it took me no time to adapt and the extra space in the center console was nice. Also, try the shifter in the 15+ LX cars and 16+ Grand Cherokees. It is sweet, easy to use and actually looks pretty damned good for a factory auto shifter.
  23. It actually has a really good and clear detent between gears. I am not exactly a kid ya know haha.
  24. I think it is bad I start thinking about my next vehicle purchase before I get the tags on the last one haha. mind you, i am thinking about what is new that that will be an awesome used deal in around 5 years. So far 200S AWD, Fusion Sport, And 2017 Lacrosse AWD are talking to me. Now, that gives me 3 options in 3 different price brackets. Also really liking the Renegade Trailhawk and the new Compass Trailhawk.
  25. I checked Buick's website, no mention of all about the "wood" trim. If it was real they'd be touting that sh@t lol.
