  1. There is a bit o truth to what I said. they are not in the areas of smaller communities and towns, but mostly in or around big cities with some interstates and enough holes it wtill makes it impractical.
  2. That is VERY sparse........ Right around my area IS blank and you are right, but they appear only on SOME major interstates at best. There are hundreds and hundreds of miles in places where you would not across one according to this map, and that is bad given the limited range and don' forget the amount of you have to wait, especially for a full charge. give me gold ice ICE right now until they are doing a MUCH better job.
  3. True, but they could still integrate it into the dash as has been done for a decade. It is just the random touchscreen hanging on top of the dash ruins the whole look and honestly, looks flimsy as hell, regardless who is doing it.
  4. Remember too, as the charge drops, so does the performance. I would not want either on a road trip really. Give me a Grand Cherokee Trackawk, room for everything and AWD for the nasty weather along with never losing power and being able to fill-up in 5 minutes at one o the many gas stations. Sure, you would spend quite a bit in fuel, but this will be at least 20 to 30 grand cheaper than the Tesla. the problem with the charging stations too, is that they are located around big cities, not much on the on highway and zero within probably hundreds of miles of here. I love the demon, great weekend vehicle, not only because it is made for pure fun, but while I would put miles on it, I do not want to destroy (or give other drivers) an opening to destroy a very rare beast indeed. With only 3000, unless you are an early order placer for more than one, you will be lucky to even get a shot at one and if it gets destroyed.........
  5. It was actually a very easy reach and decently easy to use. it was an old system though, so he issues were moe with lackin in the visuals dept haha. Still, it worked well.
  6. You don't like function, that is great You know you love those Stangs. Not THOSE are truly hideous......
  7. And if it was a Mustang with those flares for wider tires and the scoop for more airflow, you would be in love. The more I see them, the more I like them and they really enhance the low and wide look.
  8. I was thinking how cool it would have been to have been there haha. THAT would have been badass. Love the video above, really puts this car in perspective. I am guessing it retains the multiple mode adjustable suspension with a drag mode, is that right?
  9. Hace you guys seen the video from the intro where they brought it out on stag, "warmed up" he radials and then punched it across the stage with pyrotechnics all around with Metallica's Fuel playing? Oh my.
  10. I like the rear and interior upgrades, not sure on the front. When did bold start to equate the bigest grille we can stuff up there.... Thanks Lexus!!!
  11. The weight isn't out of line for the size and a lot of that weight is from the iron block engine, that hellcat is huge, heavy, and beautiful haha, Yeah, unless i could get the SC 5.0 and AWD F-Type R, I would pass. I think you are right. Has to be a kit car, anyone who would molest a real one should be beat.
  12. I do think the regular Hellcat looks better, you have to respect something that actually works. I love all the features to make this his thing run cool. in drag mode the AC even starts blowing directly on the supercharger to cool the air-charge and cuts AC in the cabin. Absolutely insane, outragous, crazy, and awesome. Carmakers just don't do this anymore. THis is a 1 year product limited to 3300 units btw (3000 to the US). I wonder if we will get something different and more outragous every year until the new platform appears? Even though it isn't the prettiest, i still say use the extended fenders with the regular car to stuf some massive summer tires under there. May keep the HP a more usable 750ish HP though haha.. Oh, i find it it interesting the Demon does 11.5s in it's "only 500 HP" eco mode. I hope that is a kit body.........
  13. The hoodscoop is actually functional as are those fender flares to hold in the huge tires (315s). Non-functional is ricey, get it straight. Yes and no, it is still a Hellcat at it's core and still rides on the 15+ version of the platform. I would love to see them do the wide-body with 315 summer tires all the way around and the full Hellcat suspension and 6 piston brakes.
  14. The There appears to be a full range of seat controls on the door in the first picture along with memory buttons. 2008 CTS, always liked this in my brother's CTS. You could extend it for nav functions, or tuck it in the dash where you still had radio displays.
  15. oooook. Anyways, the Hellcats are hardly bad handlers on one trick ponies, and while this is certainly setup for the 1/4 mile, it should have no problems with corners. AMG was well nown as a long time as a one trick pony, only over the last few years have they become somewhat known for handling, though IMHO calling calling even previous AMGS one trick ponies is as eroneous as calling Hellcats and SRTs that. Remember as far as handling the Viper ACR pretty well decimated everything in benz's lineup, regardless of price.
  16. No thanks. The front fenders look inspired by he guy at the gym who has taken it a bit too far and has to turn sideways to get their arms through the door.
  17. The integrate on the Continental, so I am not sure why they didn't here.
  18. My point is just what you said, it is not made for the nurburing, yet the fact is it will still give more handling prowess than the vast majority will ever use. I just think some people have no idea how horrifying a horrible the musclecars of yore actually handled to say that any modern car handles like them.
  19. I wish some of you people that think this drives like an old musclecar that had no handling, would drive some stock old musclecars.........
  20. The powertrains are staying the same, which means 8 speed DCT for the 4 and 9 speed auto for the 6. I like it. The A-spec seems like a decent sporty upgrade.
  21. Like it, but am a bit disturbed at so many of GM's brand new models looking like rehashed versions of the last gen. I just wonder how this will work out in the long run. Sure, it will keep existing owners happy, buy how about bringing in new ones?
  22. Massive improvement, but i wish his trend of floating infotainment screens would die. It was neat on the 08 CTS where it actually could sink into he dash, but this just sticking it there like an afterthought needs to stop. THANKS MERCEDES FOR THIS STUPID TREND!
  23. I have to question ANYONE who claims to be a carguy and is not in awe of the tech, power, speed, and lunacy of this car. It embodies generations of car loves and drag racing heritage and actually set world records by doing so. At the same time, it is completely street street legal and even he 100 octane tune PCM is 50 state emissions legal. It is understandable. i would love to feel what nearly 2G of accelerative force feels like myself.
  24. The Demon pulls 1.8G during acceleration which is a record for a production car........ Honestly, if Ford or GM had built this exact car, their camps would be gushing over how awesome it is. It is sad people can't appreciate this beast for what it is and the lunacy, regardless of make. Welcome to GM makes the most reliable cars in the world and they are the bestest land.
