  1. My is what I highlighted. I really don't drive any different when it's raining, unless it is a downpour - obviously. Actually, quick story. About a month ago the GF and I were taking our little girl to the vet Aww...a Yorkie. I have 4, 2 boys and 2 girls.. You have 4?!?!? I'm actually jealous. I always tell the gf that I want a small fleet of them because of how cute they'd be all running around playing! lol Have any pictures of yours???
  2. Well, Thank you guys I ended up getting it to work. It really was as simple as just downloading the app from the Sony store. Which I didn't think A: I needed to download the Netflix app because I never did on mine, It just came with one of the recent updates and B: I didn't know there were 'apps' to even download for a PS3. I knew you're into the computer things..which even if you didn't have a PS3 you'd probably know a solution haha. Yeah hers is an old one that plays the old games, which is pretty neat. It just sucks they don't even use it for anything and when it craps out it'll kind of be a shame because aren't those semi-collectable ? Super slim? I didn't even know that was a thing. lol I guess mine is jsut a slim but the GF's is an old brick. That thing easily weighs twice what mine does. It's pretty incredible really. Yeah that is basically what I had to do. Once I downloaded it there was magically the TV/Video Services tab and with it came Hulu and something else.. It is like it knew the tab was supposed to be there, it just didn't want to show me. lol
  3. They did but I wasn't up for it.. I was super disappointed once I saw nothing was on from noon till 7 on saturday. Why cover it over night but not during the day? Of course it will be hard to get good ratings at those times.
  4. I thought that as well but just last week I hooked it up to the internet for the first time in probably a few years and updated it and then yesterday I double checked to make sure I did it and it said the software was up to date. I kind of skimmed through the settings but I didn't think there would be a setting for the tab that is supposed to have it. Do you have a ps3? If so(or familiar enough) on mine there is a "tab" on the homepage of the ps3 titled "TV/Video Services" and within there there is Netflix, Hulu, etc. And hers just doesn't have the tab at all. Ps. I almost just PM'd you because you were primarily my target for this post lol I think I may have found it, straight of of Sony's website. I'm just worried that it will only be for people with that "tab" I keep talking about. " From the home screen, navigate to the TV/Video Services section and select the Netflix icon. If you're not already at the home screen, hold the PS button in the middle of the controller, select Quit, then select Yes to return to the home screen. Select Yes when presented with: "To use this feature, you must download software. Do you want to download now?" The Netflix app will now begin downloading. If you do not see the Netflix app, follow the steps below to download it from the PlayStation store. Select PlayStation Store. Select Apps. Select Movies/TV. Select Netflix. Select Download."
  5. Hey ladies and gents, So the gf and I finally got Netflix last night(signed up for it) and we had intended to use her ps3 because we are always at her house when we watch tv/movies. Well, i have a 3rd gen ps3, I think - first gen when they changed the "body". And I know I can watch Netflix from my PS3. Well hers doesn't have the "tv/movie services" tab like mine does. Sorry, forgot to say, she has a first gen PS3(plays ps2 games). The question really is.. can Netflix be watched from her first gen PS3? If so, how? Thank You!
  6. Whhhaaaaat?? What did you do, stew?! +1. We at least need a story, man! I'm assuming you're okay because you made to back here..so that part is good.
  7. My is what I highlighted. I really don't drive any different when it's raining, unless it is a downpour - obviously. Actually, quick story. About a month ago the GF and I were taking our little girl to the vet And the quickest way to get there is a little 10 mile interstate gaunt. Well it started to rain a little then it started to POUR. The hardest I've ever had it rain while I was driving. The flow of trafic slowed to about 35mph. And i would have continued to decelerate but it stopped not even 5 minutes after it started raining(that hard). I could bearly see the taillighs in front of me, which is why I would have continued to slow down.
  8. That grinds my gears so much. It wasn't the last time I washed my car but the time before: Looked outside - 85 clear skies Checked forcast 0% rain for the next 2 days Long enough to appreciate my work Clean car Rains over night. Pissed off. Damn, I knew it was impressive numbers Yes the warranty was one of the biggest upsides..oh and I think it was only like 700ish dollars. So there were waaay more ups and downs to that upgrade package.
  9. Extremely disappointed in the saturday coverage. I think I wanted a whole hour and a half of it. 10ish-1145. Then it wasn't on until 7 and I wasn't home then.
  10. Yeah I'm pretty pissed myself. The start was on this morning ~9-1145 and then nothing till 7 tonight?!? But I think it's covered from then till the finish. Wtf? How is there no coverage from 12-7?????
  11. Oh definitely, I assumed that if there was an entry for this year there would have been either spy shots of it oooooor they just hid testing very well because, like you said, you can't go in this raw. giggidy.
  12. ^ yeah... next year.. Anyway, I saw this posted on another forum from somebody. US TV COVERAGE: Saturday, June 13th 8:30am-11:45am -FS2 7:00pm-8:00pm -FS1 11:00pm-12:20am -FS2 Sunday, June 14th 3:30am-7:30am -FS1 7:30am-9:00am -FS2 9:00am-9:30am -FS1
  13. Hands down the old Ford truck. It looks awesome just like that.
  14. How do we sue..ourselves..? pay higher taxes? lol All kidding aside, because it is a gov't program I would think you could only hold the individuals responsible right(because I'm not sure how the gov't goes after the gov't.. I'm sure there are legal ways I just do not know the sequence of events) ? but at that point the company is supposed to have their backs unless it is proved to be intentional neglegence.
  15. ^ I see more what you're talking about now, my bad man.
  16. Ohhhhh, That makes sense. I was using the "share" links. From now on take it from the top of the page then?
  17. You keep repeating this nonsense as if it’s true. Lincoln is not creating some one-off ultra-expensive magical platform that will sweep in and save the day for Lincoln. That does sound like Cadillac’s failed plan, based on sales and the topic of this thread, but it is NOT Lincolns. No, what Ford is creating via improvements in flexible manufacturing, is a platform that is FLEXIBLE to any direction they want to go in, for both brands, to accommodate FWD or RWD. At least that is the Rumor and leave it at that. And that would only be small fraction of the monies allocated for their Phase II development that will propagate over the next 5-6 years. Phase I completed recently with the rollout of the new MKX. Otherwise, believe WTF you want. Let's see if I got this right: -The platform is not "magical" but will apparently support RWD, AWD, and FWD applications. Uh... Sounds vaguely Gandalf-ish to me -Ford is NOT emulating Cadillac's supposed "failed strategy" of trickle-down chassis tech, but this platform will support both Lincoln and Ford products. Golly :/ -Ford is NOT emulating Cadillac's supposed strategy, and you know this based on what you then say "at least that is the rumor and leave it at that." Well, THAT has the ring of authority, right there. -Then, after blowing your whole argument out of the water ALL BY YOURSELF with that "rumor" disclaimer you go on to describe all the (Monopoly?) money Ford is going to spend on PHASE II of the project. Holy. Freaking. Crap. You write some incredibly stupid things. But this may well be the capper. Are you serious? Every automaker ever does that. If Ford is copying GM in anything it isn't the "trickle down effect". MB? BMW? Audi? Everybody pushes their high end tech into their top tier products to showcase them. C'mon 'Bong.. I know you aren't a Ford guy but saying they are copying the "trickle down effect" is ludacris and you know it. Ford doesn't do it. Yet. :D They don't? You mean to tell me the first EcoBoost was a 1.0l in the Fiesta? or was it in their largest, "fanciest"(I don't consider it fancy but you know it was the top of the line vehicle at the time) Ford Taurus SHO? Then their most popular trucks and now they have the 3.5eb in anything they can cram it in. It is just how every automaker works. Not just GM.

  19. Sounds like a Ricer to me.. I'm all for making a sweet sleeper but I would want a little different base vehicle.. Those Cobalt Turbos(HHR SS) are pretty gnarly little vehicles. A good friend of mine has an HHR SS and he's just put an intake one it for the "fun noises" but it really is a fun little car. He wanted to do more with it but the mileage is over 100k(now that he's has a little more money to play around with) and he doesn't want exhaust to sound 'rice' and stock turbo cars REALLY need to open the exhaust up to make good power. When I was doing contract work for Ontario Power Generation's nuke plants one of the guys who worked there had a black Cobalt SS Turbo SEDAN. The only giveaway was some vaguely BBS-style wheels. He surprised quite a few folks on the 401 in that thing. Hell, he gave me a decent run for my money in my Camaro. Oh they can be sleepers from the factory, like the guy you said because it was a sedan and my buddy's HHR..because it's an HHR (lol). I think GM ofered a "stage 2" kit that had bigger injectors, intake and a tune(I think) and it brought it up to 300/300 hp/tq and those weren't heavy cars. 300hp would go a long way in those.
  20. They think they are real real fast cars..and they need to go real real fast right now! Honestly, I don't know why people ride bumpers so often w/o passing. If I'm up on somebody, I'm looking to pass. Otherwise there is no reason to be that close. And I don't know why more people almost refuse to pass but they'd rather be on my bumper? I don't understand that. I pass all the time if the person in ront of me is going too slow or even if they just aren't using cruise and going all sorts of different speeds. I don't hesitate to pass if I don't like the vehicle in front of me. I don't force the issue with oncoming traffic but if it's clear..I just go on past.. Too many times somebody will be on my bumper when there is zero oncoming traffic. Grinds my gears.

  22. There is no doubt in my mind I would have bought an ATS for 22k! I know a lot of people aren't a huge fan of their styling but I think they are the second best looking in their class to the C Class(I know a lot of people find that boring as well...) What strategy is Ford copying?
  23. +1 I saw the thead title..and who started it.. ugh. He never stops.
  24. Mike Wood’s Duramax-powered ’04 Ford Mustang The thought of a big-cubic-inch diesel engine in a light car seems to excite just about everyone, but perhaps the most impressive swap of the decade has been Mike Wood’s Duramax-powered Mustang. When we featured the car in 2008, it was running low 10s in the quarter-mile and achieving more than 30 mpg at Hot Rod magazine’s Drag Week—and that was just the start. Later, a Gear Vendors Overdrive was added to the 4L80E transmission, the engine was hopped up a bit more and given larger doses of nitrous, and the entire combination was fine-tuned. Then Mike went racing. Although not as publicized as they perhaps should have been, the numbers for Mike’s Duramax-motivated Mustang were astounding. It hit 45.9 mpg in a fuel-economy test (with the transmission in double overdrive), went mid-9s on the dragstrip, and ran 202 mph in the standing mile. Mike’s Mustang also made the cover of Hot Rod on a subsequent Drag Week and is one of few diesels ever to do so. Mike also proved that GM’s 4L80E automatic transmission can handle a diesel’s torque. While there have been swaps with more color and chrome during the decade, few have ever been more capable than Mike’s Durastang. Read more: http://www.trucktrend.com/features/1507-the-top-15-trendsetters-of-diesel-power/#ixzz3cr63AnHN Well, I was over at TruckTrend for some reason and I came across an article titled "The Top 15 Trendsetters of Diesel Power". This was mixed in there and I thought it was awesome. I'm really curious about the gearing as he said he took it to the track and could be driven around getting 45.9mpg. Just one impressive build I thought I'd share. There is probably more on te web about the car and actual build I'll try and find, for those who are curious.
