  1. I know what a LeBaron is better than I know what Veronica Mars is. I know it was a show, about something, and then there was a movie, and wasn't the movie crowd-funded? Yep. Not my favorite show in the whole world, but the first season is excellent. It was Kristin Bell's big break, she seems like a cool chick that you could drink a beer and yell at video games with. She plays the daughter of a P.I. who knows way too much of the trade for her own good.
  2. Hey dude, glad you made the transition! Look around and enjoy the sweet new digs!
  3. Drove my dorky pink-ish Camry from senior year of highschool to my senior year of college. Then my parents gave me a loan to get the Malibu. Don't get the wrong impression though, it wasn't so much a graduation present as it was my dad being sick of repairing wear and tear on a 20 year old car. It's funny, I actually know what a LeBaron is, but only because of Veronica Mars.
  4. I realized this morning that the only reason I ever put on pants is to have a place to carry my smart phone.
  5. Off topic, sorry, but I always really liked Myrtle Beach. When I was in the Army at Ft. Bragg we went down there quite a bit for concerts at the House of Blues. That place gets especially packed during their bike weeks. It's a bit weird ordering drinks at a restaurant down there, though, because they can't keep the big bottles and just pour like you would expect from the bar, they have to bring the little airline sized bottles to your table and make it all (or at least they did). Back on topic: Sounds like your car is improving well, and wasn't too shabby to begin with. Good luck hitting that 100, it sounds like it should definitely be doable. My parents own two weeks in the early Fall at an ocean front Marriott resort, last year was my first time joining them in Myrtle. My girlfriend and I really liked it. Tons of things to do and places to go, lots of secret places to get great food, and the resort itself blew us away: multiple pools and outdoor bars, everything is classy, the people are nice. As far as my car goes, it does what I need it to. There's a magnaflow catback exhaust I want, and a pair of mods on the intake side, combined I should hit the 100 mph mark without sacrificing the car's good qualities or hurting fuel economy. Not looking to rice this thing out at all. The stock exhaust is too silent and very restrictive, the aftermarket catback SHOULD be a tasteful improvement. I haven't heard the Malibu specifically, but I like magnaflow's products for the 3.6L Camaro and 3.0L Equinox/Terrain.
  6. On my screen his post shows the same exact giant J.D. Power chart twice. I wasted a couple minutes of my life trying to figure out what he was comparing before realizing it was a mistake.
  7. When you get it, keep us updated on how the G4 pans out. I've had several LG products and felt their quality was extremely sub-par, but their new smart phones are supposed to be competitive with the top tier.
  8. Reason to exist? I think Chuck Norris got tired of roundhouse kicking all the prius-buying hippies out there so he dropped trou and grunted out this f@#king beast of an SUV to do it for him! How is this anything less than pure awesome? Besides, Jeep is RAKING in cash right now, the brand earned a flagship.
  9. Before picking up a free M8 last month, I had a motorola Photon Q. The camera was by far the worst thing about the phone. 8 mp with a lame aperture that was mediocre enough in full day light from the start, but soon after I got it, I had some sort of burn develop that made all my pics look 5% over exposed in the middle. I've never seen a camera do that before, it looked like halfway to an instagram filter, and I HATE instagram. However, despite the camera and the 1.5 ghz dual core steadily becoming more dated and overworked, I kept the phone for two and a half years. Why on earth would I do that?? Boom baby. Fully back-lit qwerty keyboard. I'm a sucker for analog! God, I miss that ONE aspect of the phone...
  10. Holy crap, Stew. Fix your post.
  11. Ah, well it's good you're happy with what you've got. A lot of people can't say that. My first car was a mildly embarrassing economy car and nothing more. 115 galloping horsepower and maroon-red paint that had faded into a very feminine dull pink.
  12. M9+ appears to be out now too. It has a 2.2 ghz octacore. What makes you say it doesn't measure up? Even the standard M9 goes tit for tat with the Galaxy S6 in terms of hardware. Is it because you like bigger screens or certain camera features?
  13. The 3.0L only has 145 hp/170 tq? Huh, I really thought it had more. I know the later Tauruses...Tauri? well whatever, later ones had over 200 hp from the same displacement. Any reason you've never modded it with power adders or suspension bits from the SHO of the same year?
  14. Drew FTW! LMAO
  15. HTC One M8 Pros: - Free right now because of the M9 release - Expandable memory slot - Excellent design and build quality (machined aluminum) - 2.3 ghz quad core, 2gb ram, 32 gb built-in storage - Screen is gorgeous - IMO phone size is perfect - Solid battery life - Surprisingly good built-in stereo speakers Cons: - Mediocre Ultrapixel camera - Non removable battery HTC One M9 Pros: - Everything from M8 - Better camera - Improved battery life Cons: - Only an incremental improvement over M8
  16. I like the way the MKZ looks, maybe just a nip and a tuck to remove some of the visual heft it has, and use some of Lincoln's latest styling cues. I hope the refresh is substantial from a mechanical perspective.
  17. Just east of Baltimore.
  18. I'm expecting the MKZ to go with an all turbo line up: 2.0T base, 2.3T midlevel to replace the 3.7L V6, and a new 2.7T AWD performance trim. It's a real shame Ford is killing off the 3.7L V6 so soon. With direct injection and some tweaking, they could have been making an easy 20 more horsepower and lb-ft of torque. N/A V6s still have their place, it's a shame we're letting this goofy turbocharging fad take over. Do people not realize how much complexity and maintenance it adds to the life of a car? The fuel economy bonus is really not what people think it is.
  19. So you're saying on april fools day you could change a common word like "and" or "the" to autochange to "poop" or some other juvenile (yet hilarious) word.
  20. The LS7 is lighter than the LS3, which is already like 50 lbs lighter than the LT1. Cadillac engineers are really REALLY serious about weight loss. Fully dressed the LT1 comes in at 465lbs Fully dressed the LS7 comes in at 458lbs I seriously don't see a reason why a tunable, AFM, DI having LT1 with a baseline of 455HP would be passed over for an LS7, which has been around now for a decade, for a measly 7 lbs I was mistaken, the LS7 is not lighter than the LS3. Must have been something I picked up in an old Corvette Z06 article. All the talk about lightweight components and what not. I had the LS3 vs LT1 weight difference about right though.
  21. It's relentless over at MT still. The 3 stooges started a thread "Z/28 Gets a Big Price Cut" making a hyperbole out of the bonus $1,000 incentive on the Z/28 compared to the rest of the Camaro line up prior to the 2016 model launch. Of course the Ford vultures "can't believe it" and think that the Camaro must be really hurting for sales, and that "buyers aren't really interested in track toys that suck on the street." Then Stew compared the '14 Mustang incentives leading up to the current gen and immediately he's shouted down for "deflection to Ford in a non-Ford thread" and all three idiots jumped on him. I do not know why Stew isn't making use of his account over here.

  23. Ohhhhh boy that sounds like a real party. I totally understand you though. Plenty of awful, horrible, never-should-have-had-kids sort of parents in my extended family. The worst part is that they're always the first ones to open their mouth and say something really hypocritical! It's something about the generations following the baby boomers that just got out of whack, I see more bad parenting than good parenting.
  24. Wait, did it censor f@#k like that? HA! That's amazing.
