I just realized how much I miss those huge Cadillac cars of the past. I LOVE me some huge Cadillac cars. I WANT ME SOME huge Cadillac Cars...REAL Cadillac cars...No...not the Escalade...Not the ATS-V... Im anxiously awaiting for the CT6... and Im banging my head with impatience for the arrival of Cadillac cars CT8 and CT9...

But...Im a muscle car guy...and what you just said sir, couldnt be farther from the truth....for me at least... Because...I could easily say this: Anyone who has ever driven a real muscle car...(and then I could go on a similar rant like yours defending and praising everything that makes muscle cars great while using examples of how a pushrod V8 is the best...yada yada yada...and using GM's vehicles...Corvettes, Camaros, Cadillac V Series and and V8s as well asHemi Hellcats...yes...supercharged as proof....) But you see...all that you said is just subjective BS... What I do see though...is your love for V8s...DOHC or pushrods... What I do see is your love for performance cars... So...why must you push your philosophy and denounce another? Ill never get that from people...

This is where I have a problem with Lincoln: For me...every single car that Lincoln makes, that is based on a Ford equivalent...its because I prefer the looks of the Ford than the Lincoln... Ford Fusion and Lincoln MKZ - I prefer the looks of the Fusion...by a landslide. Last generation included. Including the restyled 2012 Fusion over the Lincoln counterpart. Ford Edge and Lincoln MKX- As much as I enjoy the 2016 MKX....the 2015 Edge for me hands down. The first generation....The Edge and the MKX were a tie for me in the looks department. Which means I loved both equally. And sadly....this is where it ends for me with Lincoln...because all other Lincolns...I dont care for... With that being said, I WANT the Continental to be exactly like the show car that Lincoln showed us...I dont want the production version to be less than what was shown to us... Which brings me to what I value in a luxury car....well....one of the things that I value... is LOOKS... A luxury car's looks has to move my emotions. It has to make me say "WOW! Would you look at that!" It has to say that to other on lookers as well... The looks of a luxury car has to polarize everybody... Im afraid...for me at least...Lincoln does not do that...in fact...Lincoln's counterparts from the Ford showroom actually do that...which to me...does not bode well for Lincoln when a lesser Ford counterpart polarizes me and others more than the "luxury" brand's version. The Continental show car did that though...polarize me. And others too. So much so...it ruffled Bentley's feathers...at least that is my take on how Bentley reacted to Lincoln's Continental. BTW...I dont think Bentley's look all that hot anyway...but that Lincoln Continental made me say...WOW! Finally! A Lincoln that looks majestic... A Bentley...any Bentley...just look like 4 wheeled blobs... A Mulsanne....is OK lookin', but at the price Bentley is asking for a Mulsanne...Id look elsewhere had I had that kind of dough to spend on a car... Which leads me to this point of view....I really dont think people like the way Bentley's look like...I just think they know how much they cost, and that is the reason why they like them...because they are insanely expensive...and its the price tag that drives the sales.... Kinda like a Michael Korrs handbag... Women know how much they cost...so they buy them...with the huge lettering to show people that they own a Michael Korrs handbag...to show that they got money..."Hey....look at me...yeah...that is a MK handbag...yup....I paid $1000 for it...yeah...it means I got money to burn" Same for a Bentley... I got money dude...I bought myself a Bentley. But do they actually lust over the looks over a Bentley...I dont think so...

In Quebec a decade ago...Toyota had no haggle policy...I dont remember if Lexus had one too..and I dont know if Toyota still has this no haggle policy...but good luck to them if that is the route they want to take in the States...

Well... I dont know all the metrics that are involved in selling mid-sized trucks in North America. Alls I know...back in the 1950s and 1960s...the pick-up trucks we had were mid-sized...they were no bigger than compact pick-ups from Europe...This trend continued int the 1970s and then these pick-ups became bigger and bigger...but...the D3 continued to peddle compact and mid-sized pick-up trucks...then the J3 offered compact pick-up tucks in North America....then all of a sudden...this market just disappeared....only Toyota successfully sold their compact/mid-sized truck...until the Canyonado came back...of course the Canyon was sold in the 1990s...but it was a poor effort....now that this generation came to be...the sales just befuddle me...because like I said...they went away, quickly in the 1990s. Granted, I dont know all the metrics and history of this market to truly carry an intelligent conversation.

I think it was a GREAT move to sell mid-sized trucks again. I wonder if Ford will bring their global Ranger in North America...might be a very interesting battle if they do bring it over...

I turned it off because I was going on vacation myself and wanted to stop the misuse of the voting system. I just wanted to have a relaxing vacation. Yes...very understandable indeed... However...the misuse of the system constitutes of Wings crying to you about the downvoting... In other words... Wings is whining to you...like all the time...for his crappy reputation....to which he actually deserves...hence the downvotes he gets... Sure...not all his posts and threads are bad and crappy....some of it is quite informative... OK...for every good thread and post he makes....he has 3 crappy ones... 3 to 1 ratio. I just find out that my wife's older brother...the third oldest of 5...my wife being the 4rth oldest...and the youngest being another boy...dead beat boy....but he has managed to keep that job of his....and the car I gave him...is still in good running order....boy am I surprised...anyway...the third oldest brother has just bought himself a new Edge...pretty cool if you ask me. I havent seen it yet and Im curious to drive it....and yes I will drive it.... Just to say that he, the second oldest sister and my wife all own Fords. He...the 2015 Edge She...a 2012? Focus hatch Us...a 2013 Fusion. Awesome is what I have to say as not one sibling has influenced the other to buy Ford products...its just that each one of us thinks that Ford is the best answer to our car owning needs...

*SIGH* This trio of vehicles is not where I am from and my way of thinking. The BMW M3. My my has she grown to be a big lady. And I dont mean that in a good way. As much as I always hated a BMW 3 Series/M3...I do respect them for what they are...and what they are...is certainly NOT what they have become. That is why I prefer and actually do like the BMW 2 Series. The previous 1M is what I prefer over the latest couple of M3/M4 generations... On to the M-B. If it had not been for the AMG badge and that V8...I dont think I would even waste my time writing about this car. For one thing...in my eyes...she is one ugly girl....unfortunately for me...she is quite the success story up here in Montreal. The new gen. regular C Class is everywhere to be seen up...and everytime I seen one...I turn away in disgust. The ATS...she is one fine piece of a$$...however...she is too tiny...and in my eyes...Cadillacs are not supposed to be that small...I am grateful that she exists though. However...I think Id prefer a Camaro over an ATS(just to stay in the GM family, because its the Mustang GT350 that I would rather have ...if we are talking about coupes...but this is about sedans...in which case...I would rather a Hellcat from Dodge...preferably a Challenger...if we are talking about the sedans...yes...I did say Challenger...and no...I do not mean Charger...) In this market niche of small RWD sports car coupes/sedans...pony car is what I dig...and the Challenger is a pony car when I need her to be and a midsized muscle car when I see fit... What would I buy from this trio? Sorry Cadillac...I think Id buy the AMG. Why? V8. And slightly bigger. Its the slightly bigger part that actually wins me over and not the V8 over the TTV6. Yup...space would trump looks in this case...because like I said...had space not been a factor, Mustang GT350/Camaro/Challenger Hellcat is where Im at.

Yeah... But why must we always equate Camaro/Mustang equals V8 performance. Isnt there any room for 4 cylinder pony car performance in 2015? I'm asking a legit question because V8 Camaros and Mustangs dont exactly come cheap anymore. I mean...sure a BRZ costs as much as a V6 Camaro...so that does not exactly make a BRZ any cheaper...and its certainly not any faster...or sportier than a V6 Camaro...but....alls Im saying...is that a 4 cylinder Camaro need not play second fiddle to performance to a V8 Camaro. Im mean...a 4 cylinder Z/24 Camaro need not slay and take away from a V8 Camaro...but a Z/24 4 cylinder Camaro could be a notch above performance in spped and handling to BRZ...and a notch below V8 Camaro.... And yes...EXACTLY...looking at an EB Mustang...a Z/24 Camaro besting an EB Mustang by a mile...Cadillac ATS handling performance with a tad more speed at Chevy prices and features... But then again....that just negates what the ATS is there for...to do battle with BMW 2 and 3 Series cars...and a Camaro like a possible Z/24 would be exactly that... Maybe when the ATS becomes a tad bigger like the current 3/4 Series and the CTS goes away...maybe a Z/28 Camaro would be possible then...

I gotta grin from this post. As crazy as the idea of a 4 cylinder Camaro...boosted or not....being called a Z/24 is....its fantastic. But...a Z/24 Camaro 4 cylinder better be a track friendly and tuned friendly Camaro being able to compete with cars such as the BRZs and Genesis Coupes.... And its not a far fetched idea as there is a Turbo 4 cylinder ATS being sold chez Cadillac... Who said that a 4 cylinder Camaro should be a base level Camaro? I mean...why wouldnt a base 4 cylinder Camaro not be a capable machine just because there is an available 8 cylinder bigger brother around? Im sure Chevy could easily market and peddle 2 equally performing Camaros...one with 4 cylinders and another with 8 cylinders. Why not?
