Waaaaay before Canada becomes a 51st state, I have a feeling New York, New England, California will secede from the Union and ask to become Canadian provinces.

From your link...there is another sinister article. This one regarding Elon Musk https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/highway-robbery-nyc-comptroller-accuses-musk-of-stealing-80m-from-city-bank-account/ar-AA1yWv6N?ocid=msedgntp&pc=W069&cvid=be60e1ae732a4530fd507d8d7c7107ba&ei=40 Elon Musk is accused of stealing 80 000 000 US dollars. The would be 80 million, to those MAGA folk that may read these Random Thoughts as there are too many zeros for them to comprehend what those zeros mean. But I hardly think they care. I cant wait for the tariffs to begin. I will be in a world of pain, and so will be my feloow CANADIANS, but more importanly, these tariffs will hurt MAGA folk even more.

For Nissan, Nissan is cooked either way. Honda merger or not. Nissan hasnt had a clear vision for itself since the mid to late 1980s. With the success of their launches of 1st generation Altimas and sport sedan Maximas of the mid 1980s to the mid 1990s, hot compact car Sentra SE-Rs of the early 1990s, the 1st gen 240SXs and thr late 1980s300 ZXTTs, it started to go slowly down hill from the mid 1990s... Infinity was always a unique offering true to Nissan vision, it really never had much of an identity to cling on which I have a feeling spilled over to the Nissan brand eventually...from the mid 1990s. Their offroading SUVs from X-Trails to the Pathfinder and XTERRA took a little longer to lose their identities, they too, became vehicles with no purpose from Id say the 2010s. And quite honestly, I dont think Honda would know what direction they would need to pull Nissan to as Honda too, has had identity problems which they havent figured out for themselves. I agree with you @G. David Felt, Honda would have been dragged down to die as well. Nissan is cooked. Mergering with Honda would have brought down Honda too. I think Nissan is unsalvageable.

The plan to merger has ended as Honda wanted Nissan to become a subsidiary of Honda. Nissan obviously declined and now Nissan is looking for a new partner to dance with. https://www.motor1.com/news/750550/honda-nissan-merger-officially-canceled/ The link says that Nissan, Honda and Mitsubishi still want to work together to develop EVs.

Too bad and a huge shame it is an American car. I wonder how much more it is going to cost Americans to buy this thing now that Trump has put 25% tariffs on CANADIAN aluminium and steel? (effective on March 12) Because I do NOT doubt one iota that Chevrolet uses CANADIAN raw materials for its supercar... Oh well, this PROUD CANADIAN is a lot less proud of this American sportscar now. If I had boat loads of CANADIAN looneys. Yeah...that's right! CANADIAN CASH, BABY!!! to buy me a sportscar, Id buy myself a Porsche now that my country NEEDS me to boycot ANYTHING American... Id also be spendin' my CANADIAN looneys visiting Bavarian castles instead of spendin' my money on California Dreamin' vacations... Unless of course California decides to become Canada's 11th province separating away from the Union... Because I hear things, that some people from certain states wanna secede...

Here I am, watching the Superbowl with all kinds of thoughts and emotions going through my mind trying to forget the political scene in the US. Hard to do even as a Canadian living in Canada, when the President of the US keeps on barking about Canada becoming the 51st state. Anyway, Im kinda bummed for Mahomes as I really wanted him to win this. 3 in a row and 4 in 6 attempts. Its such an achievement in NFL history. Not over yet but this post is coming right after his 3rd interception and the Eagles making it 24-0. But Im also kinda happy because the pro-Mahomes camp were soooooo making him the GOAT overtaking Tom Brady for a not yet event three-peat. Im mean, Brady has 7 Superbowl titles... So no!!!! Mahomes aint the GOAT, yet and if... Let Mahomes win #4 and then #5 and then #6 and then #7 and only THEN could we talk about GOAT-ness. But Im also kinda bummed BECAUSE of ALL the hatred the Chiefs and Mahomes ALSO gets. Chiefs fatigue beiong one thing, I get that, but I dont understand the hatred. It was nice seeing Brady make history. Its also great to see Mahomes make history as well. And to see where Mahomes finishes with the Superbowl titles. I hate haters is what Im saying. The Patriots were accused of cheating. Hate. The Chiefs are accused of favoritism. Hate. Jealousy is what Im going with for the haters. Its the half-time show, which means its time for me to take a shyte. I dont watch half-time shows. Ever. There were a couple, but I dont really recall any of them. Maybe Tom Petty. I remember that show. I liked Tom Petty. Lets see how good Mahomes really is. Brady had a huuuuge comeback versus the Falcons at the second half. But Mahomes and the Chiefs are scoreless now. That will probably change but... does Mahomes have what it takes. Kelce has Taylor Swift's honey on his mind. He has been useless these playoffs...

https://www.reuters.com/world/americas/canada-could-face-long-term-political-challenges-with-us-says-trudeau-2025-02-07/ Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Friday said U.S. President Donald Trump's talk about absorbing Canada "is a real thing" and is linked to the country's rich natural resources, a government source said. Trudeau made the remarks during a closed-door session of business and labor leaders on how best to respond to Trump's threats of tariffs on Canadian imports. His comments were first reported by the Toronto Star, which said they were mistakenly carried by a loudspeaker. Trump has repeatedly suggested Canada would be better off if it agreed to become the 51st U.S. state. "They're very aware of our resources, of what we have and they very much want to be able to benefit from those," the Star quoted Trudeau as saying. "But Mr. Trump has it in mind that one of the easiest ways of doing that is absorbing our country. And it is a real thing." The government source confirmed that the Star's account of the remarks was accurate.

LOL I must apologize because I linked up the wrong link for the autoshow. This link https://www.apa.ca/en/apa-at-the-2025-montreal-salon-de-lauto/ shows what were some of the highlights. Missing are Luc Poiriers, a Quebec billionnaire, legit billionnaire and a legit Quebecois real estate mogul, young too, with his 27 or 28 Ferraris. Also, the Corvette ZR1 was at the show too. Anyway, my points being 1. I went to to show with my son. Had a great time with him 2. The Montreal show was a success as Montrealers dont show any contempt for auto shows in the winter, Montrealers are not fully immersed in the latest greatest auto reveals over the internet and a good 'ole auto show is plenty enough to see, feel, touch and enjoy the cars that we will end up buying eventually while also looking and dreaming about what billionnaire money buys you. 3. Montreal is not Detroit. (Thank the lord) 4. Detroit is (or was) ALWAYS a premier reveal destination. Montreal was ALWAYS a so-so reveal destination. Plenty of new reveals did happen in Montreal over the years though. Mainly first reveals FOR the Canadian market. But having a Corvette C8 ZR1 at the show this year, Montreal was probably one of the FIRST cities to showcase it. It was on a pedastal showcase going round and round. Kinda feels good to showcase a car like that. But sadly though, not too many people were flocked to it. They didnt seem to know it was there. But there was an E-Ray there as well, and it was a floor show piece ready to be sold and it was open for people to sit in it and there was a HUUUUUGE line-up for it. Kids, teens, young adults, middle aged folk sprinkled with some old fogeys ALL lined-up to sit in it. I havent seen a Corvette with that kind of buzz surrounding it in a looooooong while. 5. My son and I sat in the Brightdrop. It is a well thought commercial EV. It is HUUUUGE. Wide and tall and long. GM EVs are well built inside and out. We sat in the Cadillac Escalade EV, Lyriq and Optiq, the Chevy Equinox and Blazer. We were not impressed with the interior of the Hummer though. It was cheap. The doors are flimsy. All other GM EVs are great inside and out. 6. The Dodge Charger EV is a STUNNER on the outside. The fit and finish on the outside is on par with everybody else. No surprise there as Chryco does make good cars. On the inside too, not too shabby with the quality and fit and finish. The interior design looks like what a modern muscle car should look like. But...I read and listened to many UNBIASED car reviews about the Charger EV and they all say that the EV part of the Charger is mediocre. Its a shame as its got the looks. Best looking of ALL EVs ever up until now for 2025. I even prefer the looks of the Charger to the Audi E Tron. And I LOOOVE the Audi E Tron. 7. Quebecois were all flocked to the EV offerings of ALL manufacturers present at the autoshow. Less at Tesla though. Nothing to do with Elon's antics as the autoshow was BEFORE his Nazi salute and all that shyte. Its because most Quebecois already KNOW Tesla. GM surprisingy had the most people at their EVs. Second was Hyndai/Kia. 8. There was some sort of Mercedes-AMG model there. Mercedes was next to Cadillac. The Blackwing sedans were there. Nobody acknowledging them as the Cadillac EVs had the attention further away from Mercedes. This specific AMG model was at the border of the Cadillac/Mercedes display. Nobody was at theat Mercedes either. I sat in it. It was phoquing tinny and plasticky. I got out of it in disgust and I didnt notice what model it was. I dont know HOW auto journalists complain about GM having cheap interiors...

https://canadianautodealer.ca/2025/01/montreal-auto-show-is-back-with-lots-to-dazzle-the-eyes-and-hearts-of-consumers/ I went to the Montreal auto show. And our show was a success. 163 000 attendees. That web site I linked up rounds up to 170 000. It was a 14% increase over 2023 but last year's attendance was higher at 168 000. And at 168 000, that is highest since 2019. So our auto show is quite neutral. Neither up or down. Just stable.

It was a double whammy this past week with American style capitalism over Canada. As I mentioned before, Amazon has closed all of its warehouses in Quebec because one warehouse DARE unionize and for the fear of further unionizations, well, they got outta Dodge... So, the city of Montreal in turn has ceased to buy the shytty made in China crap Amazon peddles. Montreal will buy locally and by the threat of American tariffs on Canadian products, Montreal will also buy products made in Canada or elsewhere in the world NOT named United States of America. https://www.ctvnews.ca/montreal/article/the-city-of-montreal-announces-it-will-stop-ordering-from-amazon/

And that is scary shyte if you think about it. What is really eerie, is that between the rise of Stalin, Nazi Germany, the cold war and this new era of Trumpism in the US, this human history of ours that spans the 1900s all the way to 2025, is just the Star Wars universe storyline beats. Food for thought.

ICE arrestations and deportations with GITMO destinations are ryhming 1933-1945 Nazi Germany. Propanda abound from Putin, Musk, Trump, Murdoch all working together it seems, or all working for a common goal, makes the Nazi propaganda, genocide and war machine look like novices.

I forgot to mention that Jeff Bezos IS actually involved somewhat with IONNA. But THAT is why I used him as an example for the other idiots I talked about because the other idiots I am ranted about are destroying our freedoms and consequently, our lives. And all of them are connected to each other in one way or other AND to the automobile industry in one way or other as well. Therefore me talking about a possible EV charger super empire collaboration between Bezos, the Trumps, O'Leary, Cuban, Rupert and even Musk partnered with electrical and software tech engineering giants is super feasible and realistic...

This is great!!! Its awesome what humans could accomplish when united. And that statement is FULL of innuendo. 8 of the largest car companies got together to engineer all categories in EV charging to FINALLY get the EV charging in the direction in needs to go for the new evolution of personal transportation to get ahead and displace ICEVs for the future. Adding all these IONNA chargers, and many many more to come, to the already existing Tesla chargers which might grow some more if Tesla fires their Chief Executive Officer. If not, IONNA could just take over and convert Tesla chargers into IONNA slowly slowly when Tesla goes bankrupt from a leader leading them off a cliff... And if a smart business man, say Kevin O'Leary, got to together with another smart billionnaire business man, say Mark Cuban, who could have shmoozed another savvy billionnaire business man, say Jeff Bezos as less than 4 years ago, to get together with all kinds of techy folk to build an EV infrastructure, and got with billionnaire media mogul Rupert Murdoch to report the BENEFITS of EVs rather than bullshyte with MIS and DIS information on different subjects and maybe even get the Trump boys to market these EV power stations with the Trump name and logo on the EV stations, maybe the EV outlook in the US and Canada would have looked a LOT different than it is today... And all those folk that I mentioned would have had a small oligarch monopoly with an EV charging station empire if you think about it... But greedy fascist ideas got in the way with the Trumps along with that faggot Elon Musk, (the homophobic slur is done on purpose to sarcastically call out what Trump, Musk and MAGA folk are demonizing and chastizing the LGBTQ community as I write this). Mark Cuban and Kevin O'Leary decided that being reality TV stars was the more lucrative choice in ironically having a reality TV show about loaning monies in exchange of being partners with people that have business plans and ideas... Then Kevin's wife decides to kill a fellow yachtman while she was drunk piloting her when she hit the other yacht when Kevin the husband decided to shack up with Donald the orange fatphoque duck. Bezos is too busy screwing his own employees while ditching to pay his fair share of taxes around the world demanding that his oversized yacht be priority when it couldnt cross beneath a bridge. And some American and Canadian folk all gobble that crap up in this bizarro world reality we live in right now... Imagine that, having businessmen come up with a product to sell that will fill a need? What a strange concept. And yet, Elon Musk, ironically by 2025 Elon Musk standards, he had that solution. But MIS and DIS information got the better of us because we are sooooooo phoquing stupid in our respective countries. But the EV oligarch empire will remain in control with the 8 largest car manufacturers along with Tesla. And I dont see Tesla be too long for this world.

Not quite but I wish... Quebec has had 7 Amazon warehouses. 1 of them tried to unionize and apparently succeeded. Amazon then closed down their warehouses. 1700 to 1900 jobs lost. But its closer to 3000 jobs. The Quebec government is going to sue Amazon for illegally closing down its warehouses and for them to re-open them... Amazon said they will be using 3rd party warehouses OUTSIDE of Quebec and using 3rd party delivery services. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/montreal/unionized-amazon-warehouse-quebec-concern-1.7441043 https://globalnews.ca/news/10995828/amazon-quebec-legal-challenge-job-losses/ https://www.cnbc.com/2025/02/04/amazon-to-face-legal-action-after-quebec-warehouse-closures.html In my opinion, Quebec cant really legally force a company to leave. But Amazon also knew, like every other business wanting to do business in Quebec that Quebec is not anti-union. We are not pro-union per se, we will constantly bitch about the evils of unions, but we dont mind if unions do succeed in forming and well...we let unions do union things. Weird dynamic. My other opinion is that I wished that we NEVER got these phoquing Amazon jobs here to begin with. Jobs lost is one thing, but a job like an Amazon warehouse employee will really not help out the economy, nor will it help with unemployment or poverty. It will make it worse. Amazon warehouse employees arent paid all that much, job security at an Amazon warehouse is not all that great and products sold from Amazon dont do much for the Canadian economy nor for the local (Quebec) economy. Amazon does not pay any income tax to Quebec or Canada nor does a Quebec Amazon consumer pay any Quebec or Canadian sales tax on what he/she bought from Amazon. All around shyte from an all around shyte company making billions of dollars for a very shytty person named Bezos. Although admittedly not as shytty as Elon Musk. eeeee...ah-lmost as shytty as Elon Musk if we are honest with ourselves. When I heard the news that Amazon was closing its warehouses and a couple of these people were on the news almost crying about their jobs going away, I actually blamed them. I said to myself, why on earth did you want to be employed there for phoques sake? You are better off on phoquing welfare!!! Pride for actually having a job? Not at Amazon!!! One of the lowest things one could do in life is work for a human being like Bezos...

Oh...I forgot. What about unfair trade practices from Canada that Trump himself drew up in 2019 or 2020? What happened to that? How do we fix that?
