Yessiree, that looks mighty fine! Is that the short bed or the medium-short bed? Also, is the ride very bouncy? When I first got my F150 (which was a regular cab short bed) I thought something was wrong with the suspension it was so bouncy going down the road. My truck previous to the Ford was a regular cab full size bed Sierra so the wheel base was longer and it's ride was way more stable.

Dude, that is so nice! I'm anxious to see the side shots myself. I haven't seen a standard cab version of either the Sierra or Silverado. I also like where you took the picture. I've never seen a covered bridge in person. One of these days, I'd like to take a drive down through your neck of the woods. I bet it's beautiful down there. I've been to Fallingwater twice (I want to live there.) and that's the extent of my travels in Pennsylvania.

The longest I ever stayed awake was 3 days straight. I was in graduate school trying to finish a programming project. At the end I was literally hallucinating. It was freaky. When I finally went to bed, I slept for 2 and a half days straight through. My roommate actually thought I was dead till he checked my breathing. I wasn't right for weeks afterwards. I'll never do that again.

As a registered republican who has become disenchanted with the party I'm allowed to say that I would love to see it happen. You can practically hear those neo-con sphincters slamming shut all across the country!

I don't really understand why so many people apparently dislike her so intensely. I'm in New York state and I can't see where she is worse than any other politician and she's better than a lot of them. It's too early to have much of an opinion on the whole presidential race yet, but this is certainly going to be an interesting one. (Although I wish it weren't starting so early.) If she can pull this one off, then she deserves the office.

From a driver's perspective, having the shifter there isn't much different from having it jut out from the steering column. Plus, this way, you also get the auto-stick feature (I assume that's what those horizontal spaces are for) without having to have a stationary console stealing space between the front seats. My biggest complaint is that all of the interiors of every Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep are starting to look the same. It's like they only have two people working in the interior design studio. One person draws veritcal lines and the other person draws horizontal lines.

Nope, I didn't know about that thread so I went and read it. Congrats on the truck! What you chose is near identical to what's at the top of my list to replace my Maxx when the lease is up in a year. My previous vehicle was an F150 and before that I had a GMC Sierra. I like my Maxx a lot and the gas mileage is definitely better than a truck, but it just isn't me. When I'm driving a truck, I just feel 'right'. I'll be waiting to see your pictures when it arrives.

Red light makes me look like I have a tan, and being the most pasty-white guy I know, that's saying something.

So, what's going to replace the truck once it's gone?

I can deal with a small hoop style earring on a guy, but I hate any of those stud style earrings, especially diamond studs. Beyond that, I don't like piercings of any kind on anybody, male or female. I'm not a tattoo fan either really. I could deal with a small one. Those tribal things around a guys bicep are ok, but they are far too common to be interesting. Basically, I prefer 'plain' people.

One just opened near where I live. Gourmet cheesburger with pepperjack is my usual! OMG, it just opened and I already have a 'usual'. I'm a pig.

I currently own a Malibu Maxx which I do like very much. I'm thinking this car appeals to me because it's basically the same layout, but a much better looking vehicle.

No big plans for me. I've been partying way too much the last two weeks. All of these late nights and eating too much and drinking too much have caught up with me. I'm going to a movie with a few friends later this afternoon and then a 'light' early dinner. I plan to be in bed before 10pm. Tomorrow, I'll get up early to do a little house work and laundry. My big task is to write up a new workout routine and get mentally prepared to hit the ground running in 2007. Cheers to all you party people!! Have fun and be safe.

Just out of curiosity, what is the motivation for these potential radical thoughts?

I guess I'll buck the trend here. I think the Nassau is the better looking of the two vehicles. The removeable tops on the Trailhawk really are pretty cool but the rest of the vehicle is just too much. I can't even call it ruggedly handsome, it's just goofy looking. The Nassau, to me, has kind of a stately look to it. It doesn't really strike me as a luxury car, but it's not as mundane as the typical sedan and I do love the cellphone-techno look of the interior controls.

I would have been very happy with new underwear. I like my tighty-whites tight and white. The current set is no longer either.

I'm not one of the more prolific posters around here, but I do visit the site everyday and enjoy reading the antics of everyone else. I wish I could think of something profound to say, but I'm not that good with words and I'm not a religious person. So, I'll just hope that everyone experiences at least one simple kindness from another person as a reminder that it could be this way all year if we all wanted it to be.

I have to give the boy kudos. He did an incredible job on "Dancing with the Stars". In my defense, I didn't watch the whole thing, but did see a few episodes so I will always give credit to anybody who can do anything better than me. Hey, wait a minute, I'm gay, aren't I supposed to be able to dance and cook and decorate and dress with some sense of style???? I think my genes are defective.

You bring up an interesting point and something that I've wondered about for a while. For whatever reason hatchbacks in this country aren't popular. But, you know how on some suv's they have it set up so that you can just open the glass part of the tailgate or open the whole tailgate. Couldn't they do something similar on a car and have it set up to just open the trunk, or open the whole thing like a hatchback? I'm sure there is some engineering issue with strength or rigidity or something. You could keep the look of a trunk and only use the hatchback when needed to get something to fit in.

In fairness, let me say that most women make me crazy. Don't get me wrong, I don't dislike women, I guess maybe it's just that I don't understand them and can't relate to them. I have several women friends that I care about a great deal, but if I'm with them for more than a few hours, I just want to scream. To you straight guys who can put up with them, get married and raise kids, I tip my hat to you. I could never do it and I don't think my view on that is skewed because I'm gay. Having said that, I have certainly met my share of obnoxious lesbians. There is a gay bar where I live that has a very high lesbian quotient. I avoid going there because I've had enough bad experiences with drunken women. Yet, I also know some incredibly nice lesbians. A few look like your stereotypcial dyke, but they are just sweethearts....but they still make me crazy after a while!!

I'm not a huge fan of Christmas music. It all starts too early and I get sick of it before Christmas even gets here. Having said that, there are two that I do like to hear a couple of times each season. "Merry Christmas Darling" by Karen Carpenter (does that make me lame?) and "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen", a duet by Bare Naked Ladies and Sarah McLachlan.

The earlier you eat the Thanksgiving dinner, the sooner you feel like eating the leftovers!! I think I love that evening turkey sandwich more than the dinner itself.

The only person who really knows what was going through his mind is Michael Richards. We either believe his explanation or we don't. That's all we can do. I'm a pretty laid back person and I don't like to get angry because in the extreme, it can trigger something in me that is a night and day difference from my normal personality. There was one time I was pushed to that extreme and though I hate to admit it, I lashed out by saying something that I knew would hurt the other person. Under normal circumstances, it isn't something I would ever say. I didn't say it because I believed what I said, I just knew how much it would hurt them. After saying it, I felt like I was going to puke. To this day, I still feel badly when I think about it. I don't believe I'm a racist person, but is there some situation where I could say something racially offensive to another person? I would like to think not, but I honestly don't know for certain.

They're kind of like those "funny" answering machine messages. Yeah, it might be amusing the first time you hear it, but everytime after that, it's just annoying. In a large thread where there are multiple posts by the same people, it just ends up being repetitive visual noise.
