  1. i like those racing stripes....even more if they were in a color that didn't stand out so much
  2. yeah i was saying if those calcualations are for 2.50 then the deal gets better if gas tops 3
  3. yeah well i had to start off with a used one becuase I am actually paying for this one, whereas my old one was just my dad's hand me down. I thought maybe I would be getting his 04 silverado this comming summer, but he says he is just going to make it a farm truck, so whatever i guess...i needed something with less miles that was in my price range, so an 03 with 80000 is where it ended up being. I'm not scared of starting with a few miles especially if this one gets me to a 180000+ also. As for the 01, it was still in pretty good shape after that many miles. I hit a deer with it once and broke something behind the bumper, so the bumper began to droop after time, but I got that fixed so it was solid again. As for squeaks...the only one that got to me is when i went through a big bump, the back suspension would squeak. And yeah it was starting to feel a little different. It definely needed new springs. the suspension was getting really soft, but I put all new shocks in at like 150000 i guess, so it felt decent after that, but i wasn't going to pay for springs if I was going to get rid of it. Overall, it was a great vehicle, build quality was very good. I hope I am as happy with this second one.
  4. Well, I finally traded off my 01 suburban yesterday. It had 187,245 miles on it when I dropped her off at the dealer. I put most of the miles on. My dad put on the first 30000 before I got it. What a great vehicle. That many miles and nothing but a new fuel pump, tires, and oil changes. (oh and a brief problem with the onstar, but it was warrantied) I traded up to a used 03 loaded with everything but DVD with about 80000 miles on it. I got a decent deal on it and I know the guy who owned it before me and he always takes great care of his vehicles. Its not my favorite color, pewter, but whatev. I'm going to add a few things to it hopefully if a come up with the cash. Different rims, billet grill, chrome rocker panels, and maybe a spoiler on the back or something like that. We'll see. I'll get pics up sometime soon. Everything is melting up here so the roads are a mess, and it will be dirty for the next few weeks, but as soon as I clean her up I'll snap some pics.
  5. SMUD Someone Must Underestimate Dave Dave who? your guess is as good as mine
  6. Really? It would not be hard to reach that goal, i guess, especially if gas tops 3 again this summer. I stand corrected.
  7. wow those lambdas are huge aren't they....the back wheel well doesn't even interfere with the back door at all... I hope these things don't look to wagon like, like the srx.
  8. muscle
  9. no complaints about the seat heats in my burb....but if I accidently turn them on when it is warm outside you definatly notice, which i guess is where they were using them. In the winter, the high setting is just perfect for me.
  10. breathtaking

    ....

WOW.....I like it alot. the front looks a little busy for me, but ill reserve my final judgement for when i see the whole thing. That interior is worlds ahead of the current cts...I CAN'T WAIT.
  12. i don't really prefer either way i guess, i just think that some of the symbols they come up are pretty dumb lookin'. I always thought that the cruise symbol that gm started using was pretty dumb looking, but i guess it is hard to come up with something else that makes sense.
  13. now this is where hybrid tech can actually pay off, constant stop and go, and driving hundreds of thousands of miles. In a car, it will never pay for itself.
  14. ill take the gto
  15. that looks mean
  16. there was a few hours a few days ago when i couldn't get on
  17. cool, I saw a new black aveo the other day, not a bad looking little car actually.
  18. spoiler needs to be toned down that is for sure, but i def. like the stretched grill, something different.
  19. Yeah I've heard that they can be a lot more serious when your older too. If thats true, then it sounds like you are getting off pretty easily oc. I got em when I was about 6 or 7. it made it's way around the whole grade school, at least 20 kids were out of school at one point. I had em really bad. I musta had close to a thousand spots. It was horrible.
  20. asshole
  21. o i know how you feel buddy. I had a 6100 also and it was the biggest POS i have ever owned. When the battery started to go dead, I decided to replace it. Luckily I have a friend who works at the Verizon store in the mall, and they took my LG and gave me credit on a different one. I ended up getting the moto E815. Great phone, except that it is only digital (most are now though), so I sometimes don't have reception when im out in the boonies of ND, but that should be fixed in the the coming months, as all the towers in this area will become digital. I wish I woulda waited a couple more months though, cus then Verizon came out with the razr. I guess if I were you I would check out Motos and Samsung. Those are the best from what I hear. A buddy of mine got a razr on verizon a few weeks ago. It works very well, but his only gripes are that you can't set it to vibe and ring at the same time, and that the battery life sucks, but it does on my moto too. Anyway good luck.
  22. yeah I think it is very true that some people don't have any business being behind the wheel of a SUV, but some people really do. I myself, probably don't need to be driving a suburban, but i do need something full size, with a v8. I am usually the only one in it, but on ocassion it is filled with people or cargo. I could go to a Tahoe or something similar, but once you are used to a Suburban, driving a Tahoe is ALOT different. I could get used to it i guess, but when you consider that you can get a suburban for pretty much the same price as a tahoe, especially when you are talking about used burbs and tahoes, why not just get the suburban. the burb gets the same mileage, in fact my suburban gets better mpg than my aunts 05 tahoe. There are many cases during the winter up here, where it is not safe to be out on the roads without a 4WD vehicle, I regularly tow a trailer, and I take mine offroad. In the summer, I pull a boat almost every weekend, yeah ever weekend. I tow a 4 place snowmobile trailer (steel by the way, my suburban even has a hard time pulling it sometimes) a few weekends out the winter. Year round, I end up on many roads and paths that nothing but a fullsize will make it down and in the spring, summer, and fall I have to go into fields often. Anyway, what I'm getting to is that alot of people actually do need there SUVs, so don't assume most people don't have any business driving them. Even if someone has NO reason to own a SUV, so what. If they want to pay for the $3 gas this summer, let em'. If i do trade my suburban, I will be buying another one that is E85 , I will be burning E85, and in that case i'll be using even less oil a year than someone who's driving a civic.
  23. Hmm, both are very impressive vehicles, although I hear Land Rovers in general are very unreliable. Both have an amazing presence, but when you think of how much more your getting for the money with the slade, the escalade wins hands down. On the other hand, I can count on one hand how many new Range Rovers i have seen hear in North Dakota. One of the college deans at school has a beautiful white one that I see almost every day, but other than that they are not all that common up here. That is what makes me want one so bad. I'm pretty sure that it will be my first vehicle once i graduate, given that the next model looks as magnificent. But anyway, good article. I was going to let my Motor Trend subscription run out in July....ill have to think about that.
  24. well it's definately.........orange......................
