  1. you hate mini coopers, but love your prizm?
  2. I am up fishing at lake of the woods in Minnesota, very near the Canadian border. We just got back to our hotel, and on the way back the thermometer in the Suburban said it was 48 below. So we are most likely going to hit 50 below or lower by dawn.
  3. The Vue GL is the best looking for the Green Line bunch so far IMO
  4. At 35 below right now, I'm not too impressed. Had trouble starting the Suburban this morning at 30 below, so it is plugged in tonight.
  5. What an amazing improvement the lowering made....very nice ocn.
  6. Im glad it turned out the way you wanted it too. And those Fortera should be great tires. I know a couple of guys that have Assurance tires (the car version of the Fortera) and can't stop talking about them. They were really impressed by snow traction and the way they handle a lot of water on the road.
  7. I guess I didn't really mind the old one, but the new one looks very nice.
  8. Wasn't it this time last year when the Solstice was really getting out to the dealers. That would make sense then. Plus, in the snow belt, there aren't too many people in the market for a 2 seat convertibles.
  9. My god, I couldn't believe that one.
  10. Nice Impala. 3.4 in there I'm guessing, hows it holdin' up?
  11. You're going to have one good looking truck after thats all done. Plus you weren't losing too much by getting rid of those generals right away. The set that came on my dad's 04 lasted a whole 11000 miles before the first flat, and they only lasted another few thousand more before there was hardly a thing left to them. They really are garbage.

  13. Welcome to the 21st. You'll love it. I'm on a T3 connection and now even wireless seems slow to me. I'd probably shoot myself if I had to go back to a dial up connection.
  14. Special Fred made me laugh outloud when I heard it for the first time. One of my favorites at the moment is Demetri Martin. He is on the Daily Show, and also recently had a Comedy Central special. I also downloaded a lot of his stuff off of Limewire. Check him out.
  15. "It could be worse." I try not to get too worked up about anything.
  16. Not fixing it would make the other few grand worth of body work that it has had pretty irrelevent. Maybe I should just quit washing it too, that would save me some money.
  17. haha, is that horrifying?.....I think it has happened to everyone
  18. The bumper cover is definately cracked. It was below zero on saturday morning so that would probably explain it. I'll have to take it in and see what the body shop thinks about it. Good to here that it could maybe just be repaired.
  19. It would be great if they didn't have to replace it I guess, because it won't be around long enough for me to see the bondo crack. But I guess I thought that it needed to be replaced if it was cracked. That was their reasoning behind it last time it was replaced. But that time a drunk rear-ended it at about 25 and it was a bit worse than this. Plus, his insurance was also paying for it all so I didn't question replacing the bumper.
  20. I braved the subzero weather and snow to snap a couple pics, here they are. Like a said, not a huge deal, but just inconvenient, cus fixing it is out of my pocket. here is a close up, the black lines are where the bumper cover is cracked.
  21. Well fly, I'm right on your heals. Woke up Saturday to my car alarm remote beaping at me. It was really windy when I woke up so I figured that the wind had just rocked the car enough to set the preshock on the alarm off, so I just got into the shower to get ready for work and ignored it. I got out of my apartment a little after 9 and when I got down to my car I did a quick walk around just to make sure. Sure enough, someone had backed into my Impala. Right on the corner of the back bumper on the drivers side. No note either. Not a huge smack I guess, but I'm going to need a new lower bumper cover and paint. It is getting a little wierd though. Since I got that car, it has gotten hit every 6 months. So I reported it to the cops that morning and they said to just keep a look out in my parking lot for a car that might have done it. I know it is a red car from the transfer paint, so we'll see if anything shows up. I'll try to get a picture up tonight.
  22. wowsa, that didn't even cross my mind. Yeah that would have been a TON of work then.
  23. Is it not just a different front fascia?....if so I'm sure someone with body work experience could get that done quite easily.
  24. I'm almost positive that would not work. A solution would be to go to Best Buy or someplace similar and buy an adapter that can be installed on many GM radios (im sure the malibu as well) that lets you use the aux. input to listen to any outside source with a headphone jack. There are also adapters made especially for ipods if that is what you have. There is a plug on the back on most GM radios that it interfaces into, and you also have to find a constant power and ground. I put one into my sisters grand prix. It was relatively easy to figure out, but I have some stereo experience, as well as a friend who works in the Best Buy install bay giving me pointers. They aren't real cheap, you might be able to knock off some by finding one on ebay, but make sure you know what you are buying on there as some do not work in all GMs.
