He is another Michael Moore from Flint. He talks a good game but there is no substance in what he says. He has been ducking and running questions and follow up since he reared his head back in May. When Josh asked me about him very early on I though he could have been a good asset to the board because of his background but he only turned out to be an asset minus 2 letters.

GM employees were dishing out employee price coupons long before you have spouted you plan. I know, I have taken advantage of it a couple times already over the past couple years. But since you refuse to use any logic at all, how many vehicles do you really think it adds to the bottom line. A couple thousand by my estimates. Think about it. 90% of GM US employees are in MI. Where would they most likely give out there referrels to? GM Suppliers are already eligible for employee pricing. The pool in MI keeps getting smaller and smaller.

GM and GM's directors know what there problems are. Contraints of the past are very difficult to overcome. You just can't ripe up contracts, design better products, reorganize the corporate structure, implement and execute new systems over night. What makes The O.C. comments even more robust is that he has stated numerious times he spent years in the VSSM org. The most interesting thing in your statement is "proven effective." Show us the data instead of opinion.

My advice buy GM stock and forget what the knuckle heads in the press or other misinformed opinions write on the board.

When was the last time you saw a Prius commercial? The car that sells itself. Novel concept! Over 7,000 happy buyers last month alone. Without much marketing. It has been 6 months since the 20 Pts have been made public. Toyota, Honda, Ford, DCX etc, have yet to adopt any of them. I wonder out loud why?

Maybe if you present some data that shows, your "common sense" plan will work, you would have an ounce of credibility with GM. The problem is you don't have any data to support you opinion (plan). Your plan therefor is just opinion and you know what they say about opinions! I still have yet to see any competitor of GM implement any of your "Twenty Points" in their own buisness model. And, it has been 6 months since your plan has been made public... have you ever thought why? Six months ago I said I would revisit this discussion and see what other manufacturers would implement the "Return to Greatness". And I just did.

Same engines, same transmissions, same suspension, same platform, same features, same greenhouse (sedan only), same doors... the only real unique thing about it was front and rear styling (and greenhouse on coupe), interior styling, wheel styling, and not much else. That and styling is only subjective. A matter of opinion. It can never be fact and some use this against the Grand Am. Personally, the Alero is more of a pure design, but it has on one of the ugliest rear-ends I've seen. The interior is just bland in my eyes. Better, yes... but so unoriginal. If I remember the article correctly, they were cutting 3000 units in the first quarter of next year. October sales have been strong. Honda sold close to 5000 last month. Everything else in the article was opinion.
