  1. Really the only 2 marketing taglines from Chevy I can remember, are The heartbeat Of America and Like A Rock. Both of those are old but still stick in my mind.
  2. Stick a 98 front clip on a Caprice wagon and you have the Custom Cruiser. Also of note, the 77-79 Custom Cruiser used the '77 98 front clip for all 3 years, while the '78 and '79 98's had amber marker lights wrap around the fenders and year specific grilles.
  3. Do want, where do I sign?
  4. I saw both of these on Ebay myself and was especially lusting over the Delta 88 coupe. I wish my '79 Delta was in half as good condition as these two are. The 77-79 88 and 98 are actually quite rare to find well maintained. I hope they find a good home, if I had the cash I would have a hard time justifying NOT buying one of them.
  5. I know- right?? Like howevermany years wasn't long enough on the other one. It's prolly temporary. Know who that guy is? Ed Gein As for this idea for Maserati, I don't think it's a smart move, and 50K a year?!
  6. Cyber Gray for sure, not feeling the orange, but then again I'm not a fan of wild colors to begin with. Black, gray, and dark blue is what I normally gravitate to.
  7. I bought this about a year ago, and it's my first time with a "modern" cell phone. It's a pretty nice middle of the pack phone, it's been very reliable so far without anything failing or apps not working in the year I've had it. Battery life could be better though. Samsung Reality
  8. I won't buy/own/drive anything smaller than a midsize. But I prefer full size cars. My Rivera is full size, so is my Olds. As a matter of fact I planned on possibly getting a W-body Monte Carlo or Grand Prix coupe prior to buying the Riv and decided against it because at the time I had recently had a 4 door Grand Prix rental and could barely fit in the car. Even with the seat all the way back I found it to not be enough room and I felt very boxed in and cramped. I've had the same complaint with my grandmother's Lumina which has a bench seat btw. I'm not that big of a guy either, I'm only 6'1". Even with the Riviera which is quite large for a coupe, I keep the seat all the way back and I find it to be just about perfect for my comfort and driving style, which is very relaxed, usually one hand on the bottom of the wheel and the other on the shift handle or just resting my arm on the center arm rest.

    TV

A good friend of mine has had FIOS now for about 3 or 4 years and I haven't heard any complaints about it from him so far. I'm sure there's been times where it was down, but nothing out of the ordinary for most ISP's. Personally I have cable internet through Optimum Online, it's been fairly reliable over the last 4 or 5 years that I've had it. I will say though that recently I've noticed more drops in connection since adding a router to my network to run my PS3 for online gaming.

    TV

My TV hasn't even been turned on in about 3 years, and that was to use my old PS2. I haven't actually watched a program on TV in about 6 years or more. Anything I care to watch can usually be found online. My PS3 is hooked up to my HD computer monitor, however I have been sort of playing around with the idea of buying a new flat screen TV eventually when I get a new place.
  11. Oh I've said my piece already, he's entitled to his opinion as am I, only he thinks anyone who doesn't see things the same way as him is dumb and wrong. But then again, I guess his fanboys here on C&G wouldn't have any posts to vote up then.
  12. I have no need to continue to beat a dead horse and reply to you're point once again. You like to avoid real confrontations and make up for it online where you can be as tough as you want without any of the consequences. I however have no problem with real life confrontations, have I had to eat my words in the past? sure, have I had my ass handed to me before in a fight? sure, who hasn't? But the fact is I stand up for myself and if it were my car, then i would stand up for my property. Lastly, and this is my final time saying this, if I caused him to crash by cutting him off, I could careless. Next time buy a car if you can't handle a bike, and if this crash killed him, then it's a lesson learned the hard way.
  13. I find it amusing that you fail to realize that hiding behind the anonymity of the internet* is no different than remaining inside a 2700 pound battering ram on wheels during a dispute. *I'm sorry, I must have missed the invite to the symposium where you all discussed this event face to face. I'll start keeping a closer eye on the inbox. That witty response took a little longer than I was expecting, you may be slipping a bit.
  14. Motorcycle rider was irresponsible, but stationary. 'Blu was irresponsible but in motion with 2700 pounds at his disposal. Unless the motorcycle tires were made from asbestos and angry ferrets, OB was the larger threat of the two parties. That's your opinion, personally I think an idiot on a bike who is dumb enough to do burnouts at traffic lights with a car directly behind it and having a total disregard for any motorist behind him or potentially next to him is more likely to have the same total disregard for other motorists while driving and that to me is more dangerous in a general sense than ocn speeding up to curse him out and cut him off, not that a Ford Fiesta is THAT big a car as to need alot of room to negotiate something like cutting off someone anyway. So we're to assume you never speed, have never cut someone off, have never sped up to give someone a dirty look, flip someone off or any other act out of rage, anger, momentary lapse of judgement, you are and will always be the perfect law abiding motorist, right? Please.
  15. To you it's an appliance, to me it's not. My car is just as much a member of my family in my eyes as an actual relative. So I'm putting people's lives in danger by cursing a guy out in a parking lot for his stupidity? I've been known to say some pretty harsh things, but I had no idea my words were dangerous. To be quite honest when i said in my initial post if the biker wiped out and crashed on his own and I would pull up to him and smile and drive away, I think that should be a pretty good insight into my care or lack thereof for his life. Lastly, I'm not married and do not have kids, so I don't have to concern myself with that. Based on your logic, since he's a biker and it's more dangerous, ocn shouldn't have cut him off, correct? Well based on that logic, ocn isn't the one putting innocent people in danger in the first place, it's the biker for driving something clearly more dangerous to control in emergency situations. People in cars are cut off day in and day out, if cutting off a bike is that much more dangerous, what factor is causing that? The bike itself, and therefore it's driver.
  16. I find it amusing that you obviously are the type to tuck your tail between your legs when it comes to real life confrontations, but you try to be witty and belittling on an online forum to appear tough and all the more wiser for avoiding confrontations in real life. Oh the irony. Feel free to reply with another witty comeback, the fact of the matter is I have no qualms about confronting people, I feel what ocn did was justified and if I were in his shoes I would have done the same thing, and that's it, period. BTW as far as the shopping cart thing goes, I've had that happen to me and did confront the moron who caused it. The guy puts his groceries in his car and pushes the cart away from his rear bumper to back out of the space, letting the cart roll down the slight slope of the parking lot, despite the fact that there was a shopping cart return area 3 parking spaces away. So the cart rolled into my front bumper on my Oldsmobile. Luckily there was no damage as the front bumper is actual steel and not painted plastic, but it's the fact that he was to lazy to return the cart and SAW it rolling away and still continued to get in his car that pissed me off. If the cart had rolled away while he was loading his kids in the car or groceries and he hadn't seen it, I could understand accidents happen. But he blatantly pushed the cart away, allowing it to roll into my car and did not care. So I walked up to him and had some choice words for him and he basically did what I imagine you would do ( said sorry, tucked his tail between his legs) and slowly drove away.
  17. Standing up for yourself and your property isn't acting like a psycho, if you're the type of person to tuck your tail between your legs and cower in a corner then that's your choice, not mine.
  18. Personally I see nothing wrong with what ocn did, the dude on the bike was being an idiot showoff and had a complete disregard for whoever was behind him and even next to him by trying to be "cool". As far as cutting the bike off, f*ck him, my Riviera is 16 years old and if he pelted my car with burnt rubber and rocks and whatever else happened to be on the ground, I'd do exactly what ocn did. If he crashed I'd only care if he hit someone else and would call for help. If he wiped out on his own, I'd pull up to him, smile and drive away. If he kicked my car like he did to ocn's I'd probably call the police and follow him till they showed up, or I'd just follow him to wherever he was going and deal with him face to face. This whole avoid confrontation bs is ridiculous, people who pussy foot around like that through life are the ones who always get stepped on because people learn you're easy to take advantage of. Stand up for yourself and your belongings, anything less and I have no respect for you. obviously there are times when confrontation is a bad idea, such as when you're outnumbered or in the "wrong part of town" etc. But you can't go through life fearing everyone might be a psycho with a gun. Living with fear like that is worse than the reality, which is more than likely nothing will happen. If it does, then I guess it was just your time, everything happens for a reason.
  19. You can turn that off and or program the lock and unlock points (key out, park, etc..) in the settings section of the DIC. There's actually lots of stuff to program in there- even the volume of the turn signal clicking. Depends on the GM car. Probably more likely on newer GM cars... but I know many of the early "automatic locking" GM cars, this feature can NOT be disabled. Such is the case in my '95 Riviera, after awhile I got used to it though, so much so that now I don't even notice it.
  20. I've always taken some plastic grocery bags and covered things like the alternator and distributor etc, then a engine degreaser and usually spray an entire can or more over everything. Let it sit for 5 minutes or so and then powerwash everything. Sometimes a second spray of degreaser is needed after the initial rinse, once the engine is nice and clean, I blow dry it with the air dryer at this self service car wash I use. The results speak for themselves: Uploaded with ImageShack.us Uploaded with ImageShack.us
  21. Wow what a moron, I find it funny he's talking about hitting a deer literally moments before he actually does....it's the second coming of Miss Cleo...
