  1. I love it, I think it's a great evolution of the both past Vipers, but especially the first gen. The only thing I feel needs a little extra flair is the headlights which don't seem as aggressive as they could be given how angry the Charger looks. That is my only minor complaint about it, I love the interior, I'd take this over a 'Vette without a second thought.
  2. Cheers, the first gen Riviera is one of the best looking cars to ever come out of GM.
  3. That is something I would expect during their original runs, considering back then they were both 2 doors, but given the fact the Charger has been a sedan for 7 years now, it's just ignorance at this point to confuse the two.
  4. How so? The Charger and Challenger co-existed together in the early 70's just fine. I love the current Challenger minus the interior, so I'm not too thrilled at the prospect of the Challenger going away. With that being said, if a 'Cuda does take it's place, I have faily high hopes it will be a winner given Chrysler's recent turnaround.
  5. Don't forget me, lol. If I had the cash on hand I'd take it for sure, despite the fact that right now I prefer a 88 or 98 coupe.
  6. I prefer the styling of the 77-79 model, but this is a very nice example right here so cheers. It also happens to be the same color combo as my Delta 88, black top light yellow/cream body.
  7. And with good reason...
  8. 10 speed, just think of the costs of replacing one of these, I mean I spent nearly 4K to rebuild my 4 speed in my Riviera. These 8, 9, 10 speed trannys are getting a little ridiculous now.
  9. I own 2 cars, one being 33 years old and the other 17. I would love to own a brand new car just as much as anyone. I've never personally had the feeling on sitting down in a new car that belonged to me and being the first one to drive it off the lot. As it stands right now, that's not something I can foresee happening anytime soon either. Cars are way too expensive now, and while I am a car guy and have been my entire life, justifying paying nearly 40 grand is something I know I can't do without seriously affecting my life. The reason I say 40 grand is because if I were to buy a new car, it would have to be pretty well optioned and most likely a Challenger R/T, I'm not certain on pricing with the way I would equip it, but I'm sure it's near 40k.
  10. I almost bought one of these about 10 years ago, around the time I was looking for a replacement for my Ninety Eight. Ended up with my Delta 88 because I had visions of making a one-off "442" out of it. I'd still like one of these Caddy's some day....just not this abomination. Jeers.
  11. The pictures speak for themselves, it's nothing more than another MCE. The fact that the new Civic went this route and has been a disaster for Honda, that they're rushing a refresh for next year proves that this is probably not the way to go with the Accord. I will say this however, the new front and rear lights and details are an improvement over the current model.
  12. My post was an attempt at sarcasm, given the basic overall shape of the new Civic looking about 85% the same as the old model, this Accord looks to be headed in the same direction. I guess Honda's definition of brand new these days is new 5 years ago.
  13. Since when did an MCE warrant being called a concept?
  14. I love this thing aside from the color of the wheels. The only element of the 140 I like is the rear, but as a overall package I prefer this car. It's retro without being obvious about it. It's unique especially with that upright roof, I'm not a fan of compact cars usually, but this is a sweet coupe.
  15. Cheers all the way, I've always wanted one of these Impalas and if I had the money I'd buy it right now. That thing is gorgeous, looking at this and the new Caprice from that other thread recently, this is why I said the new cars can't hold a candle to the old B-bodies, just look at that Impala.
  16. It's nice to see the Caprice finally back, but this car is very dated looking and the interior is not up to current GM design and material standards. I would like to see this converted into an Impala SS, though at the end of the day, these can't hold a candle to the old B-bodies IMO.
  17. Marchionne is the kind of CEO every automaker should have. Considering the dire position Chrylser was in just a mere 3 years ago, their turnaround has been nothing short of a miracle. While I'm not entirely sold yet on what the future brings once more Fiat platforms and spread over to Chrysler, but considering what the Dart is shaping up to be, I can only imagine further improvements as time goes on. And not to take anything away from everyone else making things happen at Chrysler, because it's clear they're all striving to leave the last decade and the near death sentence ( Daimler ) behind for good.
  18. Listening to a recent Rabbit In Red Radio podcast ( a horror film themed show )
  19. Silverstars work quite well, but they have a short shelf life. I've installed two complete sets in my 88 in the past and usually one will burn within a year, give or take.
  20. Though I rarely comment in threads, I am here multiple times a day catching up on the latest news. Mud is doing a fine job at keeping things updated.
  21. I actually kinda like those X11's, I wouldn't buy one I don't think, but I think for it's time, it was an attractive package considering the mindset at GM in the late 70's early 80's.
  22. happy birthday
  23. Dodge Challenger Dodge Charger Ford Taurus Cadillac CTS Alfa Romeo Brera Cadillac Ciel, yes I know it's only a concept, but it's what a Caddy flagship should be. 2012 Beetle, a much nicer modern take on the classic Beetle.
  24. Off the top of my head I can think of quite a few: 1977-79 GM B/C bodies, especially the 88, 98 and Coupe DeVille. Almost got a '79 Coupe DeVille before finding my Delta 88 back in 2001. Chrysler M bodies, Diplomat, Gran Fury and 5th Avenue. My uncle had I believe an '84 Gran Fury when I was a kid, and I always liked them, later I had an '85 5TH Avenue myself. Most generations of the Riviera, including the last gen, which I own one of. Last gen Toronado Trofeo's, I just like the styling and interiors, I hope to find a clean one eventually. Early 90's Oldsmobile 98 Touring sedan. 1957-59 Plymouths, especially the '58's, I've always loved "Christine" Classic VW Beetle, again because I've always loved "Herbie" 1981-83 Chrysler Imperial, I've always liked this slightly more than the bustleback Sevilles. Lincoln mark series, most generations, especially Mark VII LSC and Mark VIII LSC. I'm sure there's plenty more, but thats a quick list for now.
