  1. Talk about a blind spot.....you gotta see this Allpar
  2. At 4:30 AM on a Saturday night I went on Wikipedia to see what CVS stood for, because I was at one earlier that night and thought it might be Caring, value, service...only to find out it means consumer, value, service.... need I say more
  3. It would seem dumb IMO to keep them around now, with their low rent interiors and aged styling. If I looked at an Acadia first and then an Envoy just on interiors alone, I wouldn't give the Envoy a second thought.
  4. I thought the Envoy and family were dead?
  5. Refer to my previous post, I said the dash was hard and lousy
  6. Holy $h!
  7. This douche just wanted to cover up the fact he bought a beast and didn't have a clue as to how to drive it...mid life crisis anyone?
  8. I also rented a Lucerne a couple of months ago, but a base model with the 3800. I liked it very much and it felt more powerful than my S/C 3800 in my Riviera. My only complaints were the tight door openings in front IMO and the lousy hard plastic dash. The seats were a little too firm for my liking, but overall I liked it very much. If I were in the market for a brand new car, Lucerne would be right at the top of my list...and I'm only 24 years old.
  9. This is the first time I've heard of such claims....so much for that new car smell
  10. All I have to say on this matter is I've wanted a 300C and Charger since they came out, and I won't buy one now that the lust has worn off a bit due to they're interiors. Also my buddy has a Jeep 65 Grand Cherokee, nice SUV and all....but its nothing special, and the interior is so dull and boring. The dash is entirely hard plastic from top to bottom, the door panels are no better. Even the lower map pocket on the drivers door has frayed edges and is uneven from when it was pulled from the mold. Lastly the caps that cover the screws in the A-pillars are misaligned and don't "sit" properly. And this is an interior that they put in a truck on an anniversary edition? As a side note, this has nothing to do with the actual interior, but not even 2 weeks after he bought this Jeep, the passenger side auto up malfunctioned, it would go up halfway then go back down on its own, and the speakers would cut out if the volume was raised to about halfway or just a notch or two higher....very poor build and material quality in Jeep's flagship....and I say flagship because the Commander is a joke.
  11. And so begins....Toyota's downfall due to being arrogant and all I have to say is....
  12. My spring break has consisted of staying inside while this endless ice storm is going on...Its been snowing ice for the last 24 hours and we're set for more ice and snow today
  13. Sorry Dodgefan but your initial post is dripping with bias...I've tried to keep my mouth shut, but I've looked at tons of photos of the Avenger and while it looks pretty sweet at certain angles to overall effect is not pleasing. And the interior....please
  14. 1958 Plymouth, yes Christine
  15. gas prices already put an end to my V8 days (at least for the time being) my Rocket 350 was getting about 10-12 MPG last year when gas was around 2.50 so I bought a 3800 V6 to hold me over, and that gets only slighty better mileage...so I kind of screwed myself over....but my Delta 88 will live again, I'm planning on the restoration as a 30th birthday gift to the car...(its a '79)
  16. I'm straight, but I grew up around gay men and women, and currently my best friend is bi, although he is engaged to a girl and seems to have turned "straight" I have no problems being friends with a gay man as long as he dosen't hit on me :P
  17. Yeah and Pontiac is God's gift to automobiles, what with their tacky grey switches, gaudy interior designs and BMW wannabe gauge lighting, and oh yeah Pontiac also had to resort to using Oldsmobile Alero doors (Grand Am doors without the tacky plastic) to make the Grand Am halfway decent looking....Besides the Solstice, only the G8 is worth the time of day to look at as far as Pontiacs go...and its not even a real Pontiac.
  18. I love that song...and I'm a metal/rock guy mostly, it just has a cool beat to it
  19. This as close as Eldo lovers are gonna get to having a new Eldorado any time soon...should be a sweet car
  20. You are a good driver for checking our mirrors and blind spots, I rarely use the sideview mirrors in my car and never the passenger side mirror...my first car didn't have one and I got used to using the rearview mirror and looking over my shoulder. Accidents sometimes cannot be avoided no matter "how good" you are. I've had plenty of close calls and a few accidents too...and all due to brake failure I might add, when slaming on the brakes in an older car with drums in the rear, try to modulate the pedal as a sudden stopped could cause failure or snap a brake line if they aren't in the best of shape...its happened to me. Be attentive and always mind your surroundings and you should be fine. Remember you know what you're doing, but not what the driver in front of you, next to you or behind you is going to do. So yeah I'd say you're a good driver, you avoided an accident :AH-HA_wink:
  21. Nice! congrats on the gig sounds like fun
  22. WOW
