  1. Actually 5% is darker than 15%, I know this as I've had many a run in with Police over the years due to having tinted windows, and I've never had a lower percentage than 20. I had to remove the 20% tint on my front doors on my Riviera for being too dark, and the officer said 35% was acceptable. I live in NY, so I would check your local laws, but 5% is basically limo tint.
  2. Man, cars suck today....I was seriously born in the wrong decade. This thing isn't appealing in the least.
  3. What a slap in the face to Pontiac fans, and while I am not a die hard Poncho fan, this is a f@#king disgrace. TO see the way Pontiac is not only being given the shaft and not even a proper sendoff, now this. GM you have sunk to a new low.
  4. Alice In Chains is my favorite band to this day, so while I am excited about a new album finally, it just isn't the same without Layne. A looking In View is a good song, but not a classic, like most of AIC's older stuff. That said. the song does have a catchy riff and is without question better than just about anything else out today, DuVall sounds fairly good on the single but I've been anything but impressed with his live performances, and I've watched many on youttube.
  5. I've used the exact same chrome paint before on my '79 olds, clearcoat it....it WILL wear off unless you do.
  6. Lincoln, it was different for the times and style wise would still make for a great interior today. However the fit and finish and materials do need work. Do this style dash with Ford's current crop of high quality interior plastics and such and you have an awesome interior, no doubt.
  7. While I am a big fan of the current Ram both in terms of styling and interior improvements over the last gen....that is one sweet looking truck right there. But then again that generation Ram has always been a personal favorite of mine and truly has aged gracefully.
  8. Thanks, looking forward to it. While you're at it any first gen Riv's, mainly any '65's with the hidden head lamps
  9. Some great cars there, is that a boat tail Riv I spot next to the Chevelle? Any pics of that beast?
  10. Killing off the types of cars I enjoy most, full size RWD sedans and coupes, along with the Riviera, the Monte Carlo and Toronado. The latter of which reminds me I hate the fact that Oldsmobile died to pass the torch to Saturn and less than a decade later Saturn is being sold off.
  11. It's been nothing but scattered showers and thunderstorms for over a week now, and it's set to continue for at least another week. I haven't even needed my A/C once yet, the temps have barely cracked 70 during the day and usually are in the high 50's low 60's at night.
  12. This commercial is fail. The song makes me want to severely hurt someone, not buy a Buick.
  13. my 79 Olds has roughly 125K original miles on it iirc....it's parked at my mother's house and I don't live there so I cant double check at the moment. My 95 Riviera has about 110K on it, but soon that will be back to 0 on the motor ( which is currently being rebuilt)
  14. 32 Leaves-All Is Numb
  15. Looks pretty sweet, gotta admit though I'm still craving black, wouldn't mind seeing what you can come up with in black....if you want, but much appreciated for this one
  16. Sure why not my sigs are always lame because I just have no idea how to make a cool one. I'd like something with a new Challenger ( preferably in black) maybe a Hurst Version or even a regular SRT8 or R/T and I like your lighting effects and contrasts you create in some of your sigs DF....so go all out with it, I'm anxious to see what you can think up.
  17. Would have offered the "aurora" V8 in more cars, would have also spread the Northstar across more models outside of Caddy. Would have kept the Cavalier Z24 around and made it a serious bang for the buck econobox. Beating the Civic SI to market here. I would have dropped the Sunbird/Sunfire and refocused Pontiac on actual performance cars, Firebird/Trans Am, make the then Bonneville SSEi have the Aurora V8 to give it a bit more power and bragging rights than it's platform mates with 3800 V6's. I would have made the Supercharged 3800 the standard Engine for the Riviera and either the Aurora V8 or the Northstar an optional engine. This was Buick's halo car, it should have a V8. There's really a whole bunch I would have done differently but this is just some things that come to mind.
  18. I began driving around the age of 5, by 9 or 10 I was driving totally on my own without sitting on my dad's lap. No driver's ed for me either, however my road test was in a '99ish Camry Luckily I passed on the first try without a single point deducted.
  19. K2 Network's Parabellum, which is in closed beta as we speak which I just received my account key for. Actually it's downloading as I type this since closed beta was just released so I'm psyched to play it as I've been playing another K2 title for nearly 2 years now, War Rock.
  20. ...and not a disgrace... Riviera by Buick
  21. Riviera by...Donk?
  22. Well figured it was time for a little update. No 3800's were found during our search so I ended up deciding to rebuild my original motor. Apparently the engine spun a bearing in one of the cylinders. So the heads and everything are being sent out to be refurbished as well as just a full on rebuild. This is costing me roughly another 4K. Not sure if I'm being ripped off or not, but the guy at the shop quoted me 13 hours of labor plus parts. Plus sending the heads out etc. So is 4K in the general ballpark of a typical rebuild? This Monday will mark 3 weeks since the car has been in the shop and the work is only just getting underway, so I'll be without a car for quite a bit more time. I really miss driving
  23. First gen Monte's have been calling out to me for many years now, that SS454 is indeed the holy grail as Camino already said...but 25K is about 25K out of my price range
  24. GNR-November Rain
