  3. Here is the deal I need to select a system/gaming series I want to play. I was going to go with a PS3 and GT5 but frankly I am SICK of waiting, and now it will be until at least end of March 2010 before it is out. I am comparing a PS3 120 GB Slim to a XBOX 360 120 GB Elite just in case anyone was wondering. I DO NOT have any idea of the an updated car list for GT5 except the fact it will have all GT4 cars plus another 200-300 new ones. I am a die-hard Playstation and Gran Turismo fan until... I saw the offical Forza 3 car list which includes lots of good stuff. (more on that later) I am really only buying a system/game for the domestic cars anyways with the exception of a few forigen things that both GT5 (most likely will) and Forza 3 have. The problem PS3 is wireless 360 is not, and would mean I would have to run a ethernet cable to my 360 across the house. I understand there is a wireless adapter for Microsoft for only $100, and trust me I am not about to give them that for one! Next problem PS3 online play is free and for the Gold XBOX Live you need to pay... Also the PS3 plays Blu-Ray for the HD-TV I don't have yet... So on that front alone the PS3 wins... Having said that my primary purpose for this system won't be internet game play but career mode in the game and advancing in it (unlocking/buying cars). Since I know very little about this do you need an XBOX Live Gold to download the car pack/track packs you get to download for free with the game, anyone know? (I haven't been able to find this anyhwere!) Or will it work fine with just the "free" Silver XBOX Live? *Online playing is not important, just downloading **even paying** for updates of tracks and cars is all I care about.* I still do not know exactly what cars will be featured in GT5 but it will likely have more American cars including the C6 ZR-1 which I can't get in Forza 3 yet, because the VIP/Limited Edition package is sold out, I am willing to bet the ZR-1 will come as a DLC down the road. I still want the ZR-1 at sometime, even if I have to pay for it, but currently it is only with the LE game. (STUPID!) Anyways this is about the cars, from GM, Ford and Chrysler... And for FORZA has great selection from the big three... So should I go for it, or wait... I really would like to enjoy it over X-Mas break though. Anyone who knows anything about XBOX or just wants to share there view please feel free too.. In the mean time digital car porn... BUICK CADILLAC CHEVROLET
  4. Looks great, that thing is mint. Go out and enjoy an American RWD Luxury Tank! Don't smoke the tires to often!
  5. The OHV motor simple. No OHC motor belongs in a Corvette.
  6. I know it is a neat feature, and really liked it.
  7. My vote is, none of the above. I would go with a used Bonneville GXP, Grand Prix GXP, Cadillac Seville STS(02-03), Chevrolet Impala SS (06-09), Cadillac CTS, or a Charger. How about this?2005 Bonneville GXP
  8. Thank you very much sir. That sucker is my baby, and can go back and forth and tell you where every little chip/mark is. Overall not to bad for five years old and 29,000 miles later eh?
  9. Thanks but it wasn't waxed at all. Last wax was about a month ago. It was just a quick wash and I did polish the wheels though. I do like the color it has alot of gold in it and looks nice with the beige interior. Thanks again, I do like my car. Best and one of the most expensive choices I ever made. Then again it was worth it for a Pontiac.
  10. Well 66 it is looking more and more likely I will be doing another sedan. Someone else in my family will be doing a Camaro or maybe another RWD GM car. I have always said if someone in the family gets one I could always borrow it. So the new LaX, Caprice, Regal and whatever the new Impala turns out to be will be on my list.
  11. 2010 Buick LaCrosse CXL FWD The Looks... So at my dealer, while my tires were getting put on my salesman and I went out for a cruise in the 2010 LaX they got in last week... Let me tell you this car is STUNNING in person, it has dramatic lines, the Diamond white paint and chrome wheels "were just right". This car is a show stopper on the outside, but I already knew that from the photographs, it was the inside I wanted to see. The car was amazing once inside the "claw" door grab handles looked great but were a tad small for someone with large hands. As for the rest of the interior it was amazing the shifter was crisp, leather soft and comfortable, the dash with the amazing with contrasting stitching. The dash board was actually soft to the touch, on a GM car, I couldn't believe it, until I saw it. The center console "flows" down even the standard radio display didn't bother me. The front seats had plenty of room and the back seat was HUGE. It is a perfect car for someone with a family and not just youngster's. I actuall enjoyed myself in the back seat. So the interior was nearly perfect and trunk despite its lack of size on paper seemed deep and good sized. My only other comment about the interior aside of the handles was my head clipped the roof in rear seat until I found the "right" seating position. The Drive... This car drives like a dream, it rides nice without being floatly like my '87 Olds Delta 88. It handles great, and responds well to drive input and the steering feed back isn't to shabby either. The shifter has a "solid" feeling and the manual mode actually encouraged me to get involved in the driving the car. The engine had great kick and nice engine tone all the way up to the red-line. The car had really suprising kick and seemed faster than what the test numbers suggest. Going 80mph on a bumpy road in this car was no problem, it ate up the bumps and I didn't realize how fast I was going. This car amazed me, I would love to try a 3.6L CXS to see what it could do. Fianl Thought If this is the new Buick I like what I have driven and seen. This car will certainly be in the running as something I consider next time around. I can honestly say for the first time in my life, I will consider a Buick. This coming from me is HUGE, I never thought I would say it. Anyways the LaX is a great car and I would love to drive one again with the bigger engine, just to see the difference. The 3.0L seemed to have plently of pep for me at least. **Note these are photographs from another local dealer, of a car just like the one I test drove. I forgot my camera and plus the car I drove was super dirty, due to lots of test drives!**
  12. I understand what you are saying, but the stow n go is a huge selling to point to alot of people. It is part of the reason I liked this van so much.
  13. Okay now for those photographs... Just a few... Overall the tires are great, they handle great, and don't give off ANY road noise. Having said that they have firmed up the ride a good bit, giving me a more "sport" feeling when driving. Not to mention the fact they look great and my dealer was happy to put them on for me, and said the cheapest he could get them for was a $150.00 a tire. (I paid $106!) So far so good and I am glad to be rid of those $h!ty but good looking RS-A's!
  14. Tires are loaded up in the back of the car and in the trunk. All shined/cleaned up and ready to go. I will put about 20 miles of windy road driving on my way home, so I should have a mini-review then. Also I finally got it washed.
  15. If that thing tops out any more than 32-33K it will be WAY overpriced. The LaX CXL starts at 29K and I can get a loaded LaX CXL AWD or CXS for about 37K. So the Regal will have to cost less than 40 large for a loaded model in order to sell. I am hoping/betting on a 23/24K-32/33K for a loaded one.
  16. Hey thanks DF, it really was a nice van! He says he has good luck with it so far and the 3.3L seems to be a pretty good engine, even though it is pretty old. A 4.0L Routan is nice and is my favorite minivan but as you stated doesn't have stow n go and that is a deal breaker for many van buyers.
  17. Well good, let Toyota take care of it.
  18. Glad to know I haven't lost it. I thought it was nice considering it was a van.
  19. So do we have an idea of how much this thing will cost? I am just wondering how much less than the LaX which starts at 27K it will be.
  20. Silver Ice Metallic, that is the short hand from Camaro5. Sorry.
  21. I couldn't agree more.
  22. Just like the Enclave and 2010 LaX got lost in the shuffle right? Not exactly both are bold designs and prove GM can build a GREAT Buick. You might actually see doctors in them again. The Enclave has been a sales hit, and still is, my little GM dealer always has at least two on his lot and they always sell. He has seen so many import trades for these isn't even funny. The last one he had a was actually a Rav-4. The new LaX looks to be that promising as well and the if the Enclave is any hint of what is to happen to the new Regal I have no worries. (My dealer has yet to get a new LaX but already has a few orders for them!) As far as the comment that you can't sell a 4 cylinder sports sedan, try to tell Acura that! They have done it with the TSX for a number of years, even the Integra before that! Both were good performing cars and sold/sell well. Buick actually might just get its mojo back. :twocents:
  23. I really like it, actually as much as the LaX. The rims aren't my favorite but they aren't ugly either. I would like to see a few other photos with different wheels before I make up my mind. If wonder how roomy it is? If is has a big enough back seat I could see one in my future. GM actually has some new products out I like, the new Caprice, Camaro (both options for my next car) along with Regal, LaX and even the new Terrain.
  24. 2009 Dodge Grand Caravan SE G Package The Story... Last Saturday I spent a day in 2009 Dodge Grand Caravan SE G Package with the base 3.3L 175hp Flex Fuel V6 and four speed automatic. This van listed for $29,360.00 and was painted in Melbourne Green Pearl with 16 inch alloy wheels, it also had a full list of other toys which I will get into later. This van is my brothers used for his sales job, he trades every 1-2 years for something new. **Side note I will have option of getting it when he is done with it in a year and it has about 60,000 miles on it, and for the right price I would be tempted, provided the old Impala gets enough miles on it.** The Toys... First off let me say I am NOT a minivan lover by any means. With that said let’s get started, first off I really like the color it was different and looked sharp with the two tone interior. The sharp 16 inch alloy wheels helped "sport" things up some on the outside, and the manually shift-able four speed automatic was a nice thought in a van. The interior was well done and materials were not super soft nor did they feel cheap, it also had nice features such as 3 zone climate control, uconnect system, power rear windows, power sliding doors, power rear hatch along with the cool ignition key. The seats were comfortable and supportive in the front and in the second row bucket seats as well. The Stow n Go worked effectively and was easy to and fast to use, and the power sliding doors and hatch although a nice feature certainly aren't needed. The sound system sounded good, and climate controls had a nice feel along with all the other dash board switches. The cargo space is huge with both rows of rear seats folded into the floor, perfect for moving! The Drive... Driving the SE is yet another story, make no mistake this thing is not for drag racing but performance from the 3.3L 175hp OHV V6 is just adequate, another 20 or 25 hp would do wonders for it no doubt. The torque curve is pretty good and produces a more respectable 205lbft. and transmission response from the VLP four speed automatic is respectable and the manual shift feature is handy, but not super intuitive. The ride was smooth, not too “floatly” and making for a "nice" driving experience. The handling is pretty good for a van and gives decent communication. All in all it drove pretty good, but you have to keep the pedal down to get it moving and my brother does the same when he drives it. You also have to nail it good when you pass. Aside of needing another couple dozen ponies this van is a-okay in my book. My Final Thought... Overall I have warmed up to the Caravan, and actually find the interior and exterior styling to be pretty sharp. The performance is just okay, and ride and handling are just fine. The van has tons of neat features and drives nice, if I just knew it would be reliable, I would consider adding it to my stable when my brother is done with it. (If the price is right, and it would be... Trust me.) So am I surprised I actually like the new 5th generation CG? Not as much as you might think, I always liked the function of a van but never would consider one because they are so "dorky". With some moving in my future the value of having a vehicle like this appeals to me more and more, I just wish it could be GM. Then again it is about time I own another Dodge. Any thoughts, ideas or comment are always welcome! Please someone tell me, I have lost my mind liking a Chrysler minivan?
