As many of you know I have been busy as of late. Landscaping the house, building a new retaining wall, a new mailbox and stuff like that. Monday the Torrent was suppose to get its windows tinted, until she played a special trick on me. NOT starting, and then the key wouldn't remove. I called GM and they sent a tow truck to try to get me jumped. No such luck, and an hour later he was unhooking something under the hood so we could roll it out of the garage down to the wrecker as it wouldn't shift out of park. It was towed to the closest GM dealer, a Chevy one whom I do not go to but don't have anything against. The tech found out a there was a bad cell in the battery and they re-flashed the module and installed a new battery. I had it back in the afternoon only 5 hours later. So the tint was put off until today, and here are the results... First a comparo and then some of the photos of things I was working on. I do not have any of the wall or mailbox yet, and also a quickey of the LS's new flaps. Please be sure to comment and tell me how everything looks! Tomorrow the Torrent goes to have its wiper motor replaced again under warrenty and then she should finally be good for a while... Including our family trip to Colorado! Before... After... Before... After... Before... After... And just a few extra... The 2005 Impala LS's splash guards... (Sorry it was just a quickey!) And some of the landscaping... Front Side Front side again another angle Side view Another side view Well that about all for now... Enjoy and tell me what you think!

I will have photos up in the 'rides' section in a few. -
This is one of the dumbest things I have ever heard off. Good cars will be hitting the crusher. I can only imagine how many wonderful early 90's Cadillac Devilles and Fleetwoods will be hitting the dirt.

A RJT 2SS/RS Camaro in a parking lot, wish I would have had a photo. It was driven by an older man, with a HUGE smile on his face.

Nope... Speaking of which I got towed1 I had a small treat this morning the Torrent would not start. I then tried to get the key out of the ignition and couldn't. A tow truck was sent by GM to jump it, and that still didn't work. An hour later he decided to tow it to the closest GM dealer which, isn't mine of course. He also had to release something under the hood so we could roll it out the garage in neutral. I will find more out this afternoon, thank God for my warrenty. Just not a good start to the day. So the tint will happen in two days, I hope... -
And I think you would then be on America's Most Wanted for that...

Oh and for family... I would get my sister a new Chevrolet Equinox or whatever other GM car she wanted...

Thanks, well my quote for a the factory style tint is $185 with a lifetime replacement deal as well. So I hope it turns out well, this shop is the same as the one close to you. The other "good" place in town wanted $231! The Impala got a new head light from the scrap yard off a 2000 Impala and with the low beam bulb out of the cracked one it was working again. I got the spray paint even so it will be ready to be painted over the weekend. So the '01 will be all better soon. I think the tint with the dark color and chrome wheels would look great! Yes it helps my sanity to be productive, indeed... And my son has been keeping on top of the cars. -

I think a new Malibu or 2010 Equinox would be perfect for you.

I love my factory chrome wheels so no. My tires are good... But as you may recall my Torrent was un-tinted, I am getting a factory style tint (front doors and back) by a professional shop with LLumar film. -
A new Tahoe LTZ or Buick Enclave CXL (for the wife). For me a new Camaro 2SS in white with polished wheels (for fun), a G8 GXP in silver, red, or maybe white (for fun) and a CTS-V in red (for fun), a new '10 LaCrosse CXL with chrome wheels (driver) and most likely an Silverado HD (tow rig) of some sort. That would tow my new Crownline boat! Oh and a garage to put all these in, prolly some place out in the country! As for the oldies, I'd take an '87 GNX, '91-92 Trans Am GTA, '77 Can Am, and for good measure throw in a '79 Trans Am WS6/SE with a 400ci. oh yes and a '71-72 GTO with a 455ci. and honey comb or rally II wheels. I would most likely keep my current fleet (maybe dump my old 2001 Impala) and put the SLE in a different storage garage I talked about along with the G8 GXP, Camaro and CTS-V. The classics would also reside there as well. At the house I would have the new SUV, Torrent, Impala(s) and the '10 LaCrosse, along with the Silverado HD. I also would had another garage put behind my current house with two possibly three more spots.

I have not been around as much as I would like as of late, I have been busy. Working on landscaping the house with my son. We decided to do-it-ourselfs and got two new cars instead. We will end up saving a ton of money and a few hardware and landscaping centers have been very helpful to us. Anyways the project is wrapping up slowly. I have a few car things to take care off the 2001 was in a fender bender and needs a new front right head light and assembly along with some paint. I think I will go junkyard'n for it and go the spray paint route, (its not real bad). Also the Torrent has to go in to fix my rear wiper motor which died. For some reason... Never was right from the start... Anyways the Torrent also is due for a big suprise this Monday! I will post photos of the finished product! So busy I have been. And it will stay like that. Family vacation is in early August as well. I hope also to get some photos up of the LS with the new flaps. Anyways that is why I haven't been around much and that is whats up with me as of late. If you can guess the suprise the Torrent gets I will confirm it! Hint my wife is thrilled about it, and frankly so am I. Hope everyone is doing well! The link to see the tint is here... The Tint is In! -
I have no clue but good luck with your next car choice. I am trying to get my sister into a new '10 Equinox LS FWD she has an '04 Impala Sedan and has been thinking about an SUV but I'll see. They are not running any good rebates on the '10's yet anyways.

Thanks the G6 pre-Lutz was unique and loud but also ugly.
-
Good luck! You know me I love the Gold Bow Tie! The only GMC I would go with over a Chevrolet is a Denali over an LTZ.

1983 Olds Cutlass Coupe Hurst/Olds 15th Anniversary Edition, mint in the Menards parking lot. I drooled over it.

Good write-up. I also like the Enclave the most, no question. But a few people in my area have gotten Traverses and just love them. Thanks for sharing. -
In charge of working on any small FWD $h! boxes.

Good article, I would take a CTS-V over the Jag any day of the week. It is freaky how alike the Jag and MKS are.

I was getting excited once again. Bob you should fight for this and tell Fritz to hit the door.

Try it out I was far more impressed by Gold Class for shine and how well it holds up. It worked wonders on the 2005 Impala LS I got at the end of May, the car had never seen wax before and now shines like the top of the Chrysler building.

That is freaking cool. I have seen a Grand Am Wagon too, that had a 455 SD!
