    The 3900 crankshaft is made of forged steel and has 2.25" crank pins. I had the crank offset ground to a 3.555" stroke for a rounded 4.2L

    The VVT was disabled by degreeing the reground camshaft in place and blocking the phaser with stops to hold the position.

    Forged build

    ARP head studs, Cometic MLS head gaskets. Forged H beam rods LS1 forged pistons 11:1 compression ratio.

    Piston needed to be notched to clear the intake valve, not seen in the picture.

    The connecting rod had to be narrowed. The 3500 non VVT and 3500/3900 VVT motors all share a 2.250 crank pin diameter instead of the previous 2.00.
