Scion News: Rumorpile: What To Expect In Scion's Lineup
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Toyota
Prius is a joke of a car and terrible in crashes. I would not waste money on this product line and I would especially not waste my family or friends life by putting them into such a lousy car. -
Fiat 500 is to be expected and I suspect it will continue this trend for a few more months before both fall off. Chrysler is slow as I expected but I like what I see for Jeep and Ram.

I just do not get what people think is so great about Ford's Plastic cheap interiors and ancient old platforms. FORD products are very Lemming, so I guess we have plenty of people for that in the US.

Agreed, I am a bit baffled also by Cadillac sales. I would like to see a breakout of sales by auto type. I wonder if we have just sold to all those that love Chrome Bling and now what is left is the Monochromatic Luxury crowd which BMW and MB serves well. I love Cadillac's design language, but they really need to drop all the chrome and use it in small tasteful amounts.

This report tells me Audi has been moved on by many people and really is not being bought by the wealthier individuals now.

agreed, suicide doors allow far better access to the inside of the cab. My only thought for going away from it is in a roll over it probably crushes easier without a pillar there.
-
How does it stay secure in the engine block with no threads or is this just a defective one?

That should read student driver, Asian, men are as bad as the woman.

Finally, a correctly customized Ford....

Why does Toyota even bother with Scion anymore. It is a dead horse. -
GM News: Rumorpile: GM Puts Next-Generation Pickups On Rush
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in General Motors
Their Marketing has helped them be the sales leader, but their technology and what they do inside the trucks is heavily dated. The worst plastic old look I have ever seen with so few real innovations.- 20 replies

GM News: Rumorpile: GM Puts Next-Generation Pickups On Rush
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in General Motors
Other news stories state the trucks and Yukon will get the 8sp first and then Cadillac will get it a few month behind them. It might have been automotive news that stated it or one of the other auto mags. That is what I read and how I interpret it.I would think they would move them all at the same time.- 20 replies

Very cool to hear they are speeding up the rollout. I am very excited to see the 8 spd go into the SUV's. Escalade is delayed by 3-6 months which makes me wonder if they will go with a 9spd transmission for the Escalade to differentiate them from the Yukon and Tahoe line.- 20 replies

Chevrolet News:Spying: Chevrolet Malibu Gets Some Drastic Changes
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Chevrolet
i certainly did not mean less trunk space. i guess meant that they need to extend and lengthen the green house, and reduce the length of the trunk deck. Disagree with you here, all auto's that have extended the stupid coupe look green house and reduced the deck lid also reduced access to get things into the trunk. You need a decent size deck so you can get stuff easily into the trunk. Coupes do not cut it. -

Not sure which I like more, I have to lean towards the VOLT as the Ampera just does not look good to me with that funky nose.

Buick News: Buick Envision Teased, Premieres In China Later This Year
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Buick
I can see this coming to America, a butch upped wagon as a CUV with higher seating position. The interior is lovely and the exterior actually is very pleasing. I can see this in America on the roads here in AWD form. Interesting Engine Spec's Envision will be powered by a 2.0 turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine with 260hp and 353nm or 260Lb-Ft or torque, sending power all four wheels via a 6-speed automatic transmission. -
Interesting but in looking through the MSN auto section, they had this video by Inside Cars where they show some cool things like Tesla battery swap process, but better yet, is that Consumer Reports who has been Anti-American on Auto's supposedly just gave Ram Trucks the coveted Recommended Buy over Ford or Toyota Trucks. They also Recommend Chevy Impala as the best buy in America. http://video.msn.com?vid=59096624-a012-4c38-3f3e-8fa37f94c12f&mkt=en-us&src=CPSmall:shareBar:permalink:search_usage&from=cp^en-us So what do you think?

Not sure about you but I was 6' tall by age 12 and my kids are no different. All vehicles have to fit me in front and back seat and then I know family and friends can also fit just fin. Back seat are not just for small people.
