  1. I like your list, but why not use some of the old names? Do you feel they have to much marketing baggage to do right by the auto?
  2. 99% of drivers just want something cheap, economical and reliable..they don't care about styling. Definition of a Lemming. So Sad So Bad.
  3. For me a Truck like this that is FWD is a non starter. Been in too many that had plenty of weight in the back and the front wheels spun too easily.
  4. I agree with Drews statement, I have talked with plenty of people about the VOLT and range always comes up as a concern. Then you talk to a VOLT owner ad they are always positive and love the auto. I think it is like anything else new and different, you have to get people into the auto's and get them to drive them.
  5. For some reason I thought the Thailand and Brazel version were mini pickup truck size. Will have to research this out.
  6. Just joined and updating my garage with my auto details.
  7. Ya know if GM is not willing to import or build and sell a mini pickup with diesel then maybe we should import the Thailand version and resell it here.
  8. DI ReGenerator would be awesome as those engines are perfect for refitting to allow CNG and then you really have a green Hybrid. I would like them to Shock Everyone by Introducing a 2016 Chevy Volt and a Volt Powered Equinox / Terrain FWD / AWD CUV's. That would really help sales I think.
  9. Why is it that when I come across someone who drives a passat, the car is either incredibly trashed and driven like a bat our of hell or it is fairly new but driven below posted speed limits and pissing off everyone else due to holding up traffic. Yet I have seen the cars in pretty good shape driven at proper highway speed in Europe. Must be a crazy American drivers.
  10. I really wish some one could point to marketing that says these bland boring lemming cars sell because of X, Y and Z reasons. I just do not see why someone would want to buy such a boring auto.
  11. Meh, I would rather have a brand New Cadillac Escalade ESV Platinum and can add the supercharger and get a better handling, more comfortable auto than this 5 person over priced sardine can.
  12. WOW, Can you say a mouth full? What marketing moron chose that crazy long name.
  13. Just saw a 76 Old Station wagon. 3rd seat facing rearward. Brought so many memories of me growing up in that backwards facing seat and waiting for dad to let me out. LOL Fun Road Trips.
  14. Project Live Wire has Hit Washington. Pretty cool and being well received. Seattle times just posted this story about them. They are here through this weekend. http://seattletimes.com/html/businesstechnology/2024266130_harleyelectricxml.html This is a current video of the sound of the electric bikes. http://bcove.me/kglzih19
  15. That would be great. I wish someone would have asked him if he meant 30MPG of the EPA test or real world driving 30MPG. Real World Driving is a totally different beast that is mostly ignored by the companies. Still excited to see this
  16. We could just kill off the whole Gas Tax thing and apply a mileage tax to everyone so it is fair across all powertrain types / auto types. We also then should just clean up and remove the stupid states double taxation and have just one clean gov agency that manages all freeways / roadways. A Mileage tax would then allow everyone to pay as you go. The more you drive the more you pay.
  17. LTS, REALLY? Come on GM, Time to use the names that truly drive prestige. The Top of the line should be an Eldorado, Fleetwood or De Ville Even GM Insider News states how much they hate the 3 letter BS.
  18. Maybe the salt back east eats them up too fast, but here in Seattle where they do not use salt on the roads, you still see many of the luv trucks driving around.
  19. This is why I still see so many mid 70's Chevy Luv Trucks on the road with a diesel engine. Isuzu built a great mini truck then and GM need to bring their Mini sold in other world markets here with the 2.9L Duramax Diesel.
  20. I think all fuel tax's should go to road and mass transit. That way you have the funds dedicated. I am not a fan of the so called general fund and then idiots end up using the money for other social pet projects rather than what it was intended for. Perfect example of this was the Lotto that was added in washington state back in the early 90's. They said the money earned would be dedicated to the school system. Instead they put all the money into the general fund and now we have 500 million spent on illegal medical care rather than taking care of the teachers properly.
  21. The below quote is a perfect show no go example from BMW that America was accused of doing in the late 80's early 90's. Seems BMW has gone to rebadge everything with different looks but really no change driving dynamics. A poser car if ever there was one. A visual package will be a joke and be the downward fall of them.
  22. I love Drew's stated plan, that is what should be done.
  23. That is very cool, thanks for posting Drew.
