  1. S-class has been the best car in the world for the past 30 years. I don't think the best in the world can be overrated. Few cars have had that long a run at the top of their class, 3-series is probably the only other one. The Phaeton can't even compete with the A8, there is no point in VW making it. They should put those resources into the Jetta and Passat and get them more competitive. Considering how MB whores out the S class to the Taxi Fleets of Europe and has to so heavily discount them to sell here, I would like to see metrics that show this is truly the worlds best selling luxury auto besides just pointing to sales numbers. If it is such the best car you speak of, then why do you not see S class auto's past 5 to 10 years on the roads? Is it possibly due to them not being able to last? Give more than just pointing at Sales numbers please.
  2. Fun auto with a motor that had mixed results. Some had no problems and others had nothing but problems. Still the auto was a fun and I loved the game Rampage.
  3. Thanks for the pictures Drew. Now it really looks like a minivan to me. Guess their older block body style was not that bad after all as I like it better than this in the lite blue.
  4. Good to Hear Drew, my worst fear is GM sits back after hitting a home run and not properly refreshing and updating the product line.
  5. Heck you see Teslas daily here in Seattle also. I actually am seeing less BMW but about the same MB and a clear increase in Tesla.
  6. I could see this selling to the youth crowd. Way better than the Fiat buched up 500.
  7. I will have to give them credit it is a much better looking interior and exterior than their last version. Thought I clearly see the Minivan shape look. Maybe a bit to jelly bean. But nice auto none the less. Far better than their car line.
  8. It's an expense that the general public doesn't need. Plugging in 2 ipads in the back doesn't put that big a load on the electrical system. But when you add stereo stuff and other things like if you add an alarm or remote start due to the auto not having it, I have found in the past that if not done right by a person with attention to details it can come back and bite you in the arse! that is a question of installer competence, not electrical system capability We'll I did find one place that I wished I had a beefier electrical system. On my 94 GMC Suburban. I had purchased new current headlights for them and they caused the wire harness to burn out. So had to buy a new wire harness for the engine bay that could support the head lights. Other than that, you are correct installation competence is an important part in success with 3rd party products being added. It is amazing the quality of wire used for beefy stereo systems too.
  9. Makes ya wonder if they will use the I8 Ugly body on it or what.
  10. Love on the 14th! That ROCKS!!! Looking forward to the pictures and your take on the beast of yours.

  12. Sweet, Rocking the V8, yes he will fit in just fine. Welcome to the family, look forward to your posting and contributions to the site.
  13. OK, but the motor is more a take on BMW realizing they need to sell against the VOLT than Tesla. Tesla is pure electric no motor as a generator. I believe in my heart that politics aside, GM could easily build a superior Tesla type auto under the Cadillac logo.
  14. Hope they go towards the brick look of the Patriot as the Compass was just ugly.
  15. Interesting they should put these things in normal versions especially the electrical system.
  16. Awesome to have you join the C&G family. Welcome!
  17. Interesting, so then to say 36 powertrains, we must divide by 4 to realize that they will have 4 core engine lines that with different tuning and accessories will end up with 9 engine variances of the 4 main lines. 3 petrol and 1 diesel.
