  1. Found this on the Verge web site. Did we have any more details on the Chevy FNR Concept introduced at the Shanghai Auto Show? http://www.theverge.com/2015/4/20/8458679/chevrolet-fnr-shanghai-concept-car
  2. Rockin it 4 generations straight! Germans have nothing on this full size bad boy. As an owner of a 2nd generation Escalade ESV Platinum edition, I look forward to upgrading to the 4th next year as is my plan. They just keep making it better all the way around. For those wondering the ESV does seem to increase the leg room in the 3rd row or it could just be my imagination but I do feel for the added length there seems to be more room inside it than in the standard Escalade. Either way you cannot go wrong with these lovely SUV's. Great write up, Question, did you get to test out the Entertainment system in the back? If so what did you think?
  3. Lot's to love about this car though I do wish they did not go so vertical with the grill. Yes they left some element of the waterfall grill but most is still vertical. The biggest issue I have is with the wrap around rear lights. Just does nothing for me.
  4. The rear is pretty bland in my opinion. WOW, They so could have done much more. I like the extra leg space and wish they did this for the US.
  5. This is OutStanding! So Cadillac not only launches a new larger sedan, but then add's a Hybrid at the same time. Guess unlike SMK and his beloved MB with a two years later they had Hybrid, Cadillac decided they needed to have it at the same time. Wonder how long before the coupe and convertible come out. Would be great to have a CT6-Eldorado Hybrid Edition Convertible.
  6. While many academics say to NOT Quote Wikipedia, you are again comparing apples to oranges. You talk v8 HP numbers and how S Class was 389, yet that was only in their high end V12 according to this site. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mercedes-Benz_S-Class Their standard V8 engine only put out 275hp. The amount of power out of the engine for this Hybrid compared to past engines is amazing and the CT6 is a lean machine compared to the bloated S Class. I agree with Balthazar, let the magazine tests show who is better. I do Love that Cadillac is having a Hybrid at launch with the new CT6. Do not see MB doing this yet.
  7. So very True, FCA figures 20 months could make an auto last that. 20 years, that is another story. I think GM should do this, they could use the platform for the Colorado / Canyon and make a proper auto for them with CNG fueling.
  8. Sad but hopefully a collectors item you can enjoy and be rewarded for owning.
  9. Love the Full Size SUV's, you will find it drives just like a car but with better higher seating position for a great view of the road. I love em.
  10. Seattle was loosing way to many old brick buildings to new 21st century looking sky scrapers, so a couple years back they passed a law that if it is an old building and they have a age scale you have to keep so much of it and now in the oldest section of Seattle, they have put up temp steel bracing to hold onto the brick walls and dug out deep to build a 21st century skyscraper with the old 1 to 3 story brick front. They have done a pretty good job of blending the old building with the new. Here is one of the old buildings being rebuilt new from the inside protecting the old outside walls but giving a rise to a stronger better modern building.
  11. I like the Colt for Dodge that would go well with the Dart and Colt EV. I wonder if Jolt Cola would sue over the name Jolt for a Subcompact EV?
  12. Awesome update, Thanks for sharing, maybe only a few of us, but great to hear how the car is doing, mileage and any issues. You have a great long term thread here that I always enjoy reading the updates on. Thank you for doing it.
  13. BMW and MB will be forced to kill their V12, Europe is pushing to pass even more stringent standards on engines and technology is already showing that the days of the V12 are very limited. V8 will be the new V12.
  14. Yes, Good Move GM! My wife loves the look of this and asked me if we could add an American EV to the family of auto's when it comes out. She loves things quiet and wants something to just get to work and run errands and home. Small, Cute and efficient. So I figure 2017 a BOLT will enter the family auto group. Excited.
  15. Interesting to read, but this is near identical to what I have on all my GM auto's with OnStar.
  16. Good news, now lets keep doing what the new leaders and new company are doing best. Building new solid products to compete globally.
  17. I would add the Elmiraj to the voting list. With that it is my 2nd place followed by the Buick and then Lincoln. Over all while it is nice to see the Lincoln get a full size sedan the car is not bold enough to push the design language and say this is the new Lincoln. On top of that the interior with all the chrome is just stupid. The reflection blindness on the windshield is going to be massively bad and it just looks blingy cheap to me. I like chrome in moderation but we still seem to have stupid designers that think everything chromed is a good thing. WRONG, like anything moderation especially when it comes too luxury, make a statement that shows your different but strong and in moderation.
  18. VOLT Power trains in various performance to extreme frugalness should have been out over the last 3-5 years for all GM bands.
  19. Found this on Yahoo about 9 models that blow you away with small engines. First and foremost is this from the story: Qoute "Sedan or coupe, the compact Caddy is among the industry’s best-kept secrets, more fun to drive than even a BMW 3-Series. That lively, engaging personality is best experienced with the 2.0-liter turbo four, rather than the pricier and more pedestrian 3.6-liter V-6, or the outright anemic 2.5-liter four sans turbocharger." Over all a great read and even SMK's lowly Mercedes Benze gets a spot. https://www.yahoo.com/autos/nine-models-that-prove-small-engines-can-beat-big-116392112457.html
