  1. Interesting, but the style is old and the product missed the window and I think there will be other players with less expensive options but that give more for the money. I do not understand why it is taking them so long.
  2. I think you really need to think of it in terms of 3rds! OEM Factory original Mustang or Camero OEM Performance Tuned Mustang or Camero 3rd party Tuned Mustang or Camero such as Shelby or Hennessey. Thinking that way which way would you go?
  3. I love my rides, but love tuned performance rides. Nothing wrong with an OEM Tuned ride over a basic ride but in reviewing this I believe you are talking about 3rd party tuners? Count me as one who would buy a tuned ride............... preferably from the OEM performance division.
  4. Simplicity will always win customers but to simplistic and you will loose them. Sounds like a company that has taken a page from Tesla, minimal buttons, more menus on the graphic screen.
  5. The facts on Diesel are clear just like CNG. The up front cost are bigger than petrol but if you hold for more than 3yrs, you not only gain your money back but reduce the long term cost. ROI or return on Investment has always been at least 3yrs. Now with pickup trucks, SUV's and medium duty trucks you are looking at about 18 months for ROI of Diesel and CNG based on 15K miles a year driving.
  6. ^^^ this is EXACTLY my fear. Benz, Cadillac, Audi.. any of them... This is a technology I simply have no desire to see come to fruition.. and if a vote ever comes to play on the political side.. I would personally cast a vote to not allow for it. The only caveat being.. N.A. would be behind in the tech.. but then again since GM and Ford are both global entities they could implement it in other countries to stay with the other makers in terms of advancement Can you imagine being the software engineer being asked to do the protocols for that? The legal ramifications would be an absolute nightmare. Orwellian, really. As a software engineer, the great good will always over way the individual. I have no problem programming the car to take the lesser of death. Hit many people or hit one. The one will always loose out. This is the same for society, the greater good has to take priority over the one.
  7. Now if GM would only deliver their concepts and not something totally different but named close to it. I for one would love the Elmiraj as is!
  8. I like that idea! Course then you have those that represent the wealthy section that would be way over paid.
  9. Yup, he has failed and left many with being pushed into bankrupcy all at others expense in building his own personal wealth. He is a man that knows nothing of how to build and grow a profitable business. He is no different than the Idiot Hillary and all the other DemoBots and RepuliRATS that also know nothing of how to work within a budget. So far 2016 is looking to be a year to pick the least of all evils as we currently only have morons running for president. Isn't this the same every election for ANY politician..ever. ? They are all crooks and liars. Well it would help if we all stopped voting incumbents back into office. My state is incredibly guilty of that. Plus all Gov jobs should have term limits. House and Senate should be able to do no more than 12 years or what equals to 6 terms for house and 2 terms for senate or we change both to be 2yr jobs or 6yr jobs and reduce the waste of time for elections.
  10. Be interesting to see how those big doors work in the real world as most people have packed garages and not that much space when you see how far out the door sticks. I can see this being a problem for getting it open in a small garage.
  11. Yet you do not comment on one very IMPORTANT Fact! Most people are terrible at driving manual transmissions. I know for a fact. While I required both my son and daughter to learn and drive in Highschool a Manual Pickup truck. This limited having to many people due to it being a standard cab so 3 tight, but really only 2 people drive and 1 passenger plus their bags, books etc. My son is a terrible driver and never could get the feel for shifting compared to my daughter who would get EPA rated MPG on the Manual, My son always got 10-15% less or more depending on highway versus city driving. My wife and I could always exceed EPA MPG. The reason I believe Automatics do better for people is most people do not want to have to think about how they drive, the sweet spot for shifting and dealing with a clutch plus break and gas. Add hills and people fear the roll back and freak out. Manuals have their place but in limited applications due to human nature. Consumer Pickup trucks should just stay automatic as it would be best for everyone as is most auto's. Performance and econobox auto's can have a manual option but I still believe most people will go with an automatic. I am not saying your wrong about Manual being better than automatic, but the electronics today are faster than human response time and I think it does end up with most automatic auto's out performing manual transmission auto's.
  12. That might be so, but looks cheap along with those cheap plastic circle vents. This dash does not look at all like a luxury auto but just plastering more stuff on a bland cheap dash.

  14. So Honda has sent out yesterday to those of us working in the CNG field the attached PDF letter notifying us of the discontinuation of the Honda Civic and current inventories. Civic Natural Gas program - Fleet Client.pdf Bummer as I still think CNG is the future stepping stone to eventual electric only auto's once Battery technology is built to support a 500 mile trip without long charge times, etc. Batteries need to go the distance just like a fuel tank. So a Suburban if electric should be able to go 500 miles on a charged battery just like a current gas tank.
  15. Ragous had potential but to me came across as 3 teams making up the front, core middle body and rearend. They then stuck it together to see what it would look like. This was a project that showed me you CANNOT have independant teams work on parts and end up with a solid product. Even Boeing learned the hardway that the dreamliner had to have more internal work than external and as a fact from my brother inlaw who is head of the propulsion for the dreamliner, Boeing brought many of the jobs back to Everett to keep the quality and consistency for the end product in place. Ragous should have gone through one more review internally and a smoothing of the transition between the front middle and rear.
  16. Wonder when we will see real style out of the Germans as all their auto's are now 40 year old rehash crap!
  17. WOW, Talk about Copying Cadillac! This is a copy of the 1st Generation SRX, A station wagon on steroids! Bland in design with some curves and will only sell to the badge snobs who care about the badge. I see they have the fake wood look all over that Hideous Dash! The non-intuitive joystick / mouse that requires a class to really learn how to use it and the after thought of the so called floating Nave screen on the dash. Really? MB can do no better than coping FORD with those stupid Plastic CHEAP Circle vents? Where is the style? Where is the passion to build a world class leading SUV/CUV? They cannot even build a proper steering wheel now? They have to go with a huge bump in the center that under force in an accident will pop and break your sternum leaving with you probably more damage than other makers have done. Sorry but this is a FAILURE! Old ReUsed Style, Bland Exterior and Interior, Cheap looking dash! This brings to MB the cheapness that Cadillac deserved from the 80's of how can we get maximum profit off the name with doing minimal effort. So pathetic!
  18. Boldride had their story published on Yahoo Auto's today. They asked who built the best concept cars and in researching for this story they found even 6 yrs after the production lines stopped, Nobody built better concepts than Pontiac and they were from the 80's! Nobody better than Pontiac Concepts? 1986 Pontiac Trans Sport 1987 Pontiac Pursuit 1988 Pontiac Banshee 1989 Pontiac Stinger Concepts did not stop in the 80's either. Just a taste of what you can find at Boldride web site 1990 Pontiac Sunfire 1992 Pontiac Salsa 2007 Pontiac Solstice So what do you think? Is Pontiac the best out there for building Concepts? If you disagree state your facts and post some pictures and links so we can discuss this!
  19. CNBC just posted this story that looks at facts gathered from quality studies and came to the conclusion that while Japan is not getting worse parse, they have fallen behind the competition in consumer surveys. Seems Toyota, Honda, Mitsubishi and Subaru are not keeping pace with the industry and Korea has surpased them. According to the report, the average world wide is a 3% improvement in product quality. Japan has had a zero improvement rate for the last few years where as Korea had an 11% product quality improvement over last year leading the over all industry. Interesting is that Ford and Lincoln are mentioned for cutting the number of problems only and GM and Buick not only cut problems further but placed vehicles in the top 11 brands and for the past year showed fewer than 100 problems per 100 auto's built leading the industry. The story goes on to say this will have many ask if Japan has lost the considered GOLD standard of auto reliability. The final comment is that Japan is struggling in dealing with infotainment systems and voice recognition as 16 of the bottom 20 models are all from Japan and have their core problems rooted in the Infotainment / nav / voice recognition systems. 20. Agree that a Black CTS Wagon would make an awesome Deceptacon! We'll to each their own as I enjoyed all the transformer movies. Like a calgon bath take me away to fairy land.
  21. Exactly. Smaller displacement would be more welcome in other markets. There could be substitutions. The ATS-V, for instance, could have had a V8.. excuse the pun. Cadillac wants their own engine family.. thus it got the TTV6. As a future CTS-V Gen3 owner, I'm actually wondering if they are gonna come in year two with a TTV8 Actually, I've been told there was another reason for going with the TTV6 and it is entirely technical. Once I post my ATS-V story you'll see why. Did I miss this or have you not had time to post the story yet? Very excited to read what you have to say about the ATS-V with the TTV6 engine.
  22. So now that I have gone over the details, I really do have to question why would you want the under torqued V6? The Turbo 4 to me is a superior engine and if I wanted max performance, then the V8 is a no brainer.
  23. I see GM Media posted this with more details on the 2016 Camaro's Powertrain lineup. 2016 Camaro Powertrain lineup! Quoting from the posted news release: Ecotec 2.0L turbo details The Camaro LT’s standard engine is a new Ecotec 2.0L turbocharged I-4, rated at an SAE-certified 275 horsepower (205 kW) and 295 lb-ft of torque (400 Nm). For impressive power on demand, it offers a wide torque band with 90 percent of its peak torque available from 2,100 rpm to 3,000 rpm, and maximum torque from 3,000 to 4,500 rpm. All-new 3.6L V-6 The new 3.6L V-6 ,available in the Camaro LT, offers the highest specific output for a naturally aspirated V-6, producing an SAE-certified 335 horsepower (250 kW) and 284 lb-ft of torque (385 Nm). It’s an all-new design that represents the fourth generation of GM’s DOHC V-6 engine family and incorporates new features, including Active Fuel Management. Return of the LT1 The 2016 Camaro SS is powered by the Small Block 6.2L LT1 V-8 engine, with output SAE-certified at 455 horsepower (339 kW) and 455 lb-ft of torque (617 Nm), making it the most powerful Camaro SS ever. Its use in the sixth generation marks the third time the LT1 moniker has been bestowed on a Camaro Small Block V-8 engine, with previous iterations used in the 1970-72 Z28, 1993-97 Z28 and 1996-97 SS. New Hydra-Matic eight-speed automatic transmissions All 2016 Camaro models are offered with new, Hydra-Matic 8L45 and 8L90 paddle-shift eight-speed automatic transmissions. The 8L45 is available with the Ecotec 2.0L turbo and 3.6L V-6 engines on LT models, and the 8L90 is available with the LT1 V-8 on the Camaro SS. The very cool part is the extensive engine features they list out for each motor. Check it out. This is a cool line up!
