So history does seem to repeat itself and there are some clear signs that we could be headed towards a 3rd world war. Wonder how this will affect our drive of Oil / Petrol based auto's compared to CNG or Electric? Afterall the US has the worlds largest proven reserves of Natural Gas.

Way to go, I know it is hard but you will thank yourself down the road. Awesome Job.

This is exciting for Volvo, hopefully it will bring a better over all portfolio.

Very awesome picture indeed.

Very cool, I can say that I have had my SS north of triple digits many times and I believe the Highway top speed is a joke. I see a purpose for speed limits in residential and city streets but on the highway I think it should be wide open to get from Point A to B ASAP.

Any tuners here? Looking for AFR advice.
G. David Felt replied to cp-the-nerd's topic in Tech Section
I have used the superchip tuner on my suburban and it really rocks for solid performance. I have it tuned nicely on 87 and if needed added power can change it to premium tune and get more out of it. I like that I can change it on the fly when the tank is empty and then fill up with premium and go. I recommend using tuners to enhance the basic tune of an auto. -
Looking for my drive to work today, seems to have gone missing!

Side profile sucks, short nose and bed and huge crew cab just does not look right in it's proportions and as a Uni-body truck this is more inline with the old El Camino's than a real truck.

Brake Bleeding... theres got to be a better way.
G. David Felt replied to SAmadei's topic in Tech Section
Yea old days of add brake fluid and craw under and bleed and then add more brake fluid and move to the next wheel are really out of date now. Some pretty good brake bleeding products are out there now for DIY. http://www.brakebleeder.com/product-category/brake-bleeders/ http://www.summitracing.com/search/department/tools-shop-equipment/part-type/brake-bleeder-kits/?autoview=SKU Both these companies have a good assortment of systems for this. -
Hope they stick with this unit as they work out the bugs and make it very reliable why go to a new engine.

I always thought Mel Gibson.

I would so remove that as it would look better without it and you would have better ground clearence for real use of what this auto is designed for. They need to remember these are SUV's for use and not a car. If they want to drive them by the dozen for the soccer moms fine and they get lower gas mileage fine also. Just do not loose the functionality of what this auto is all about.

Love the ending of the write up with this is what the USA is all about or Die Trying. Sadly we have seen a few Corvettes die trying. But they are still AWESOME!

"That's Not a Buick" Ad Campaign a Success?
G. David Felt replied to cp-the-nerd's topic in Industry News
I have more and more coworkers who have changed from Asian name plates to Buick's due to the looks and life style available auto's. More and More are liking what Buick is doing and yes I hear that commercial all the time when people do the same thing of that is not a Buick. So far 5 Encores in my department and one Regal GS. I have to say this ad does work and works well. -

I like the look but just like what you did to your truck, it needs to dump that butt ugly black plastic with chrome hump bit thing at the bottom of the bumper. -
Lovely looking ring!

Great write up, I too am wondering how many of the mid size sedans from some of the base players can be priced at Luxury level and if it is worth it. This seems to say no for the Ford Fusion Titanium. Nice car but a bit pricey.

Ford spills Details about new Carbon Fiber GT350R Rims.
G. David Felt replied to G. David Felt's topic in Industry News
So if you have to throw it away, can it be recycled? Could you grind up the carbon fiber rim and reuse it in new products? We'll Binging away I found there are companies that do recycle carbon fiber for hew products such as football gear. Even Boeing is committed to recycling all Dreamliners and their surplus product. http://www.environmentalleader.com/2014/08/28/boeing-to-recycle-dreamliner-carbon-fiber/ http://www.adherent-tech.com/recycling_technologies/carbon_fiber_reclamation_faqs http://carbonfiberremanufacturing.com/pages/recycling/disposal.php Clearly we have found a way to reduce weight and make it recyclable so we do not put it in the landfills. -

Love that they dumped the ugly heavy chrome grill for a more Monochromatic grill. -
Conrats! Thanks! I've had the ring for 2 months and she kept screwing up my plans to propose, obviously she was blissfully unaware. We live together so it made everything much more difficult. Awesome, congrats, I have 25yrs now and still going strong. Wish you all the best.
