  1. Very cool, I have found the best tool is ones you have to modify yourself. Before Craftsman cam along with flexible wrenches, I would take my welding torch and heat up select wrenches and bend them so I had a 45 or 90 degree bend in them for reaching into tight places. Now they seem to all make tools like this. I also love my 1970's craftmen tools as they truly were built tuff and solid.
  2. Wow is that woman flexible at 1:12 in the Touch Myself Video!
  3. Wonder how often a person working on the body damage of a Hybrid or EV ends up getting shocked even when they follow all the safety guidelines.
  4. Seems to be many options on the XTS with heated seats and nav minimum. http://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/cars+under+35000/Cadillac/XTS/Mountlake+Terrace+WA-98043?endYear=2016&featureCodes=1156,1316,1066&makeCode1=CAD&maxPrice=35000&mmt=%5BCAD%5BXTS%5B%5D%5D%5B%5D%5D&modelCode1=XTS&searchRadius=0&showcaseListingId=394924193&showcaseOwnerId=987070&sortBy=derivedpriceASC&startYear=1981&Log=0
  5. I would agree with BUZZ, many of the new technologies are not really needed in cars and if they think by having them they will snag the young college level to late 20's crowd they are WRONG, as most are too in debt to afford a car. Anyone who has driven a HUD auto loves it and Cadillac has an amazing one in how you can customize it. This is as the story says, FAILURE of the Dealership more than the end user not using it or wanting it. The biggest final impression is the delivery by the sales person of the auto to the customer. This is where you win or lose long term customers. Dealers need to step up and deliver.
  6. When you put it next to the CTS cluster though, it stands out as an after thought to me. The rest of the interior is very nice but staring at that cluster is just too much for me. Just my opinion though. Now that I can better understand and yes it does not hold up to the CTS. I am hoping they have a Family Style / quality level of dashes as they move to the CT naming same for the CUV and SUV's.
  7. Using the BUTT UGLY Hydrogen style on the Prius took it from Ugly to outright hideous! I just do not get the Japan style they are doing, either the cars are totally boring and will put you to sleep or hideously ugly.
  8. To me the ATS cluster is nice, it is an entry level auto and it is a nice dash, nice instrument cluster. Not sure why people always say it is cheap, you want cheap look at the crappy interior on MB and BMW. That is Cheap in comparison.
  9. You say that, and its a good point, but old Mopars are a lot harder to get parts for than Ford or GM vehicles. My dad had a hell of a time getting new drum's for the `69 Barracuda.
  10. Especially with the Stock markets craziness and China pretty much crashing.
  11. Very interesting, crazy cameo on the Hyundai and the 2016 Prius shows they continue to make it even more ugly.
  12. Totally agree with you, the car should have had more than the wimpy 305 only. But still loved the body especially the aero model. That was my favorite in their burgundy color.
  13. Crazy stupid pricing like this will kill off the Pony cars for many.
  14. G. David Felt Staff Writer Alternative Energy - www.CheersandGears.com Worst Used Cars Compare.com reviewed the insurance industry reports on auto's, accidents, quality reports and much more to build a 5 point list on used auto's and what NOT to buy. The break down comes as follows: 1) Trade-Ins Dealers DO NOT WANT: Mini Cooper Jaguar S-Type Land Rover Discovery Mazda CX-7 This is due to the high failure rate of the power-trains. 2) Dealers DO NOT WANT brands that are no longer made, unless they are limited production versions, but for sure they do not want the following: PT Cruiser Dodge Grand Caravan SAAB Suzuki Saturn 3) Dealers do not want cars with HIGH COST OF OWNERSHIP: Example given is 2010 Ford Focus with a cost of owner ship in first 5yrs of $27,805. 4) Dealers DO NOT WANT auto's with no title. 5) Dealers DO NOT WANT auto's with Funky smells such as: Gasoline Smell Burning Smell Sweet Smell Mildew Smell Smoke Smell So what do you think? Do you agree with this or not?
  15. I'm a tanqueray 10 man with the occasional Woodford Reserve or Tennessee Honey Well, would you look at that- something I agree with. Personally I will take red wine for every day drinking I love Mark Ryan wines. Sapphire or Hendricks for my Gin. Blue Label Johnny Walker for whiskey Dos Armadillos Extra Anejo Reserva for my Tequila Back on Subject, I still do not see a need for the over heavy over rated DOHC engines period.
  16. Lovely Cars you choose there. I understand everyone wanting the nastalgic V8 thing, but I have to give KUDOs to GM for their Performance Crate Motors with Auto or Manual 6 sp Transmissions. True Plug N Play!
  17. I really just want something a bit more up to date for my Toronado (if I had the money). No need for 500+ horsepower. Swift and silent... a mild Turbo-6 would be fine. Talked to the conversion department at EV West http://www.evwest.com/catalog/index.php?osCsid=lovusud1cnut5f29dhbq3serb4 They were telling me about some conversions on 1970's era full size sedans and station wagons. Enough room underneath to have a battery pack with a 200 to 300 mile range and you can put in just about any electric motor you want. I was thinking the Siamese Warp 11 would do nicely in your Toronado. Totally silent, 1000lb ft of torque even comes with the transmission so it just connects to your driveline. http://www.evwest.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=8&products_id=213&osCsid=lovusud1cnut5f29dhbq3serb4 You could have a silent Sleeper that really would leave all others caught up in your Toronado of destruction!
  18. Next company to take their pony car, give it a 300 mile range on pure electric with a motor like this. 420HP, 560 lbs of torque will win! http://www.evwest.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=8&products_id=300&osCsid=rfikd2j0it52odv9jfoo2kfdk4 That is my thought and I am sticking to it.
  19. Drew has listed out the engines with where the HP is fully delivered, If you feel the list is dated then please supply the updated V6 engines and their Max Horsepower delivered at XXXX rpm and redline as additional comparison please. Posted Yesterday, 09:43 AM Drew Dowdell, on 22 Aug 2015 - 06:28 AM, said: It's more than just that. With these naturally aspirated DOHC V6es, I feel that customers are getting cheated a bit. They are being sold horsepower ratings that they will never see in the real world. Wingsforlife: Drew, you really need to qualify a remark like this.
  20. Considering that i like to leave history in the books or museum. The 1970 is nice, but I will take the 2010.
  21. Totally and Completely disagree with you as Buick sells very well and GM did the right thing in paring up Buick with GMC so they have a Luxury Mid Level product line of Trucks, SUV's, CUV's and Cars. This is very profitable for GM as well as very different auto's and very different from the Failed Mercury issue.
  22. I M Mentally Dead due to your Ad Campaign.
  23. If money was no object, I would do what a group of GM engineers did to this lovely 1988 Monte Carlo SS. Original power plant was a LS3 180HP mated with a 4 speed transmission. They installed a LS376/525 Connect & Cruise system which included a T56 6 speed manual transmission. Nice bump from 180HP to 525HP. The full story of the car and the awesome crate engine / transmission package is found here. http://www.chevrolet.com/performance/fuel-newsletter/2014/issue3.html
  24. Over all the battle of OHV versus DOHC will never be settled and Dwightlooi makes a very good case for the ongoing use of pushrod V8 engines. Over all, when a pushrod V8 is built with quality care, you get a life long engine that requires only basic maintenance and lasts a very very long time.
