  1. In todays overly PC world, I expect you to do something stupid like jump off a bridge and blame it on the voter who down voted your comment. In reality we have lost for a few generations on how to communicate and talk at each other via all means including face to face and agree to disagree. Part of being human is having your own feeling about something and saying it strongly without fear of the other person killing themselves cause they felt you crushed them with words. Are you sure it is not your eyes or monitor? Looks like a wink to me and not constipation!
  2. Enjoy it while it lasts, I suspect over the next 3-5 years we will see a massive change away from the V8 except in special use cases. The masses will have to accept turbo / supercharged 4 & 6 bangers.
  3. I agree that this is time to put this to rest and move forward. Just at Toyota paid 1.2 Billion for their recall issues, this is inline with this recall issue. I expect FCA to pay about the same amount due to the lack of follow through on their recalls especially in regards to the deaths by fire on the gas tank issues.
  4. Bloated auto with bland style and blank bland interior. Honda Nuts will love the ultra conservative car which is no longer a compact in my book but a mid size and it will have little impact on the sales of this segment other than to Honda Nuts.
  5. The news keeps reporting it as a "dislike" button, but it's actually a sympathy button, when "liking" a status would be inappropriate to show support. I've noticed for awhile that people will "like" something when it's a sad story or something of the nature and actually "liking" it isn't what you're doing but you're supporting them more or less. I just hate Facebook completely and see no value to it. Have no account and do not see me ever having an account on that scourge company.
  6. Most back seats in auto's like the Muttang and Camero have cramped back seats.
  7. Fall always brings out the need for comfort food and right now Mac-N-Cheese sure sounds yummy! 50 Delish Mac N Cheese dishes http://www.msn.com/en-us/foodanddrink/recipes/the-50-most-delish-macaroni-and-cheeses/ss-AAec1aU?ocid=UP94DHP#image=1
  8. I knew what you meant.. I was just jokin 'round. Plus, at least there are cheaop gas stations in po-dunk middle of nowhere towns..I guess they might have electrical outlets as well but no "super charging" stations. You just have to bring your own portable charger that is being sold now by multiple companies. http://delphi.com/manufacturers/auto/hevevproducts/charging-cordsets/charge-coupler-cordset/ http://www.plugincars.com/aerovironment-unveils-599-portable-charger-129326.html So for those that have a small podunk town you can bring your own stepup charger and for the outback, just turn on the generator first.
  9. That is a freakin HOT HOT car!, They should have done this much earlier. It will sell well here I suspect.
  10. H'mmmmm, Ocn and Uncle Dave, what you two up too?
  11. G. David Felt Staff Writer Alternative Energy - www.CheersandGears.com Le Supercar to battle Tesla, Financed by Chinese Billionaire! Seems Frankfurt auto show is on an EV roll out as multiple companies show off their auto's and some especially interesting designs come from the electric auto segment. Thunder Power showed off their near production ready 4 door sedan and EV Racer car a cross between Speed racer and Fanboy racer game crowd. Now we have LeTV Billionaire announcing that he has hired 600 individuals from Tesla, BMW iCar, and GM's Volt groups to create from scratch an all new EV auto that will top what Tesla and others have shown to date. 200 if the folks work in the US with the other 400 in China. The Le Supercar production version will be introduced to the world at the 2016 Beijing auto show. He sees a completely connected auto that can have media streamed to it increasing profits to his LeTV corporation from around the world. Seems the EV auto is about to go main stream in the next few years. Big question is does this mean Karma is a bit late to the game or can it still survive with all the new auto startups? Bigger question, how soon before all the established auto companies have Tesla competitors for sale? Biggest question, Could this be an indicator of just how fast we could change from Petro to electric auto's world wide? Combining its expertise in hi-tech innovation with the best of European design, technology and engineering has resulted in a revolutionary electric vehicle proposition to rival the conventional internal combustion engine. Together with luxury driver and passenger refinements, the range is set to redefine the benchmark for electric vehicle innovation and performance. Taking the EV further, faster The rear-wheel drive Thunder Power Sedan will exceed the demands of the contemporary driver, offering both exhilarating performance and an enviable maximum journey distance. With a choice of 230 kW or 320 kW power configurations, the Thunder Power Sedan will deliver a class leading range of over 650 km on a full charge - or over 300 km on a mere 30-minute charge. The 320 kW version will accelerate to 100 km/h in under 5.0 seconds and reach a maximum speed of 250 km/h. Also showcasing at IAA is the Thunder Power all-wheel-drive Race model, demonstrating the technical possibilities and capabilities of the dedicated EV platform. Italian design On the exterior, the car's styling matches the impressive performance. The Thunder Power Sedan has been designed by the legendary Zagato studio in Milan, the name behind some of the most beautiful sports cars ever built. Sweeping, dynamic lines form an unmistakably powerful silhouette. The instantly recognisable grill is also an icon in the making. European engineering Over five years of research and development have gone into establishing Thunder Power's electric vehicle range, working closely with leading European specialists such as Bosch, Dallara and CSI. The result is the creation of advanced electric vehicle technologies, which set new standards in terms of performance and efficiency. Dedicated EV platform By engineering an advanced and dedicated platform from the ground up, Thunder Power is able to optimize the efficiency of the vehicle architecture allowing a series of performance benefits and advantages. Unencumbered by legacy issues, this is especially true in relation to the battery design and capacity, an area so often compromised on electric derivatives of mainstream vehicles. The modular design of the 125 kWh microprocessor-controlled battery pack is based on unique high-energy-density lithium-ion cell technology. Not only will the pack be cheaper to produce and lighter than competing systems, but an innovative charge balancing system will also slow battery aging and degradation. Through the floor-integration of the battery pack, the superior volume will provide both the highest capacity and longest driving range. A hybrid body structure contributes significantly to the Sedan's low overall weight of below 2.000 kg and ensures high static & dynamic stiffness and efficient energy absorption. The flexible chassis design based upon a unique modular system allows the range to be extended from Sedan to SUV, Compact and Crossover variants. Driver Comfort Spanning the entire width of the dashboard, the TP-Touch system represents a new benchmark in safety, inter-connectivity and entertainment. TP-Touch not only includes the instrument cluster, infotainment and all passenger comfort applications such as video streaming and internet, but also acts as an intelligent driver support. By merging and processing all journey and performance data from both driver assistance and infotainment systems, TP-Touch will provide invaluable advice to the driver, minimizing unnecessary distractions and thereby increasing safety. Availability The Thunder Power range will launch in Europe in 2017 and in China in 2018, followed by the USA. The main manufacturing facility will be based in a 30 Hectare site in Shaoxing, Zhijiang, China. The location of the European production will be announced in due course. Research & Development for all vehicles will be based and managed from Thunder Power's European headquarters near Milan and supported by additional R&D facilities in both mainland China as well as in the USA. CEO and Chairman Wellen Sham said, "The electric vehicle industry is constantly evolving and we are making sure that we are one step ahead. Our range of electric vehicles will push the boundaries. We have drawn on the expertise of world-class European designers and engineers and after five years of research and development we are proud to launch our luxury range of vehicles at IAA 2015. Frankfurt is one of the highest profile motor shows and known for showcasing the latest trends and technological industry highlights. So it's a perfect setting to showcase the world premiere of our electric vehicle range to the media, investors and consumers." Dr Ing. Peter Tutzer, Chief Technical Officer added, "It is not a question of if, but when Electric Vehicles will go 'mainstream' and take over from the internal combustion engine cars. As a manufacturer of a dedicated EV platform, Thunder Power is able to optimize both vehicle efficiency and performance, offering the contemporary driver a motoring proposition without compromise and of course with zero emissions." – ends – About Thunder Power Based in Taiwan, Thunder Power is a renowned technology innovator and has been listed on the Taipei stock exchange since 2001. 13. Whaaattttt you mean I cannot carry my spare auto quick charger pack like I do for my cell phone?
  14. Very cool, be interesting to see how this would stack up against some of the electric racing motors out there.
  15. This is Freakin HOT! For once a new style car that I actually like from Porsche. They need to move forward with this style. Would be great to have it as a competitor to Tesla.
  16. Saw this posted tonight, Marry Barra kills the Rumors, even if FCA comes back with a new offer, it is NOT in the GM shareholders best interest to merge with FCA! http://fortune.com/2015/09/14/mary-barra-fiat-merger/?xid=yahoo_fortune&ref=yfp Guess Sergio needs to go snort some more drugs to think up another hair brain idea on how to save his Mess up company!
  17. But there are many times when it isn't worth commenting when dealing with ridiculously irrational fanboy-style posts. (on the negative side of voting) and sometimes there just isn't time to type something up or you just want to give a passive "thumbs up". I have often wished the voting system had some canned comments so you could review, click on an up or down vote and choose a canned comment that reflects your thought of the post. That would be cool.
  18. Do you actually hate the sport of football or how the league/government use it? The owners DEFINITELY can afford to build their own stadiums. But part of them asking for money is because they're used for WAY more than just football games which(supposedly - I tried to look it up and I see responces in both directions) bring money back to the city and/or state. Love College Football, have come to hate NFL, Over paid babies, Over rated league with owners who think a cast system is society cause they are better than everyone else and NO, the stadiums DO NOT get used for other things that benefit the tax payers, the stadiums get used for Concerts, monster truck shows, etc that the NFL owners get to charge for and take people hard earned money. Every study has shown that tax payer supplied stadiums DO NOT return the money back to the cities and people who live in them, then you have the stupid politicians who give up sales tax, maintenance costs to allow even more money into these 1/10th of 1% people. The money should be going into our students and the education of society not into the uber rich!.
  19. The New Soccer Mom Mobile of the 21st century for the top 5%! So... like an Escalade then? Already own an ESV Platinum.
  20. Football Sucks, Owners need to refund the tax payers money they stole for their palaces. They can afford to build their own stadiums and they should not get tax dollars for the stupid palaces.
  21. So by Comparison as SMK will say C-Class is best in class as he thinks all MB is best in class no matter what, I grabbed the current 2015 C-Class interior photo to match up and compare. Personally there are some nice things about the MB as there is for Cadillac, both are acceptable, but I do like the flow better in the Cadillac than the MB which to me has a boy racer look to it and seems to be disjointed in the floating nav and the reminds me of Ford trucks, cheap plastic circle air vents.
