  1. Another reason to hold onto your older cars to keep your freedom. No need for Big Brother monitoring your every move.
  2. Ugh can you imagine the overpriced G-Wagon crap they would build to compete? Guess lack of any sense or ability to build something that is actually sensible is missing from this company and the customers. More money than brains.
  3. FAILURE, We do not need Apple or Google building cars. Autonomous garbage. Leave them to their software. They lack passion for auto's and only see it as a tool to get from A to B.
  4. Uhhhhh... DOOOHHHHHH Talk about totally missing the word External. I could have sworn when I read it, it was an internal investigation. Glad to see external.
  5. G. David Felt Staff Writer Alternative Energy - www.CheersandGears.com This the Future of Performance Pony Cars? So much has been discussed and debated about the V8, Turbo 4 and 6 cylinder engines as well as Supercharged 4 and 6 cylinder engines that it makes one think what would a performance Pony car be if it was pure electric? Zombie 222 EV Mustang Blood Shed Motors is building what they believe is the ultimate tire shredding Mustang and they can do it for any of the pony cars. 6. Dear VW, You want to overcome your back room dealing Nazi past and lying to the public till now, then hire an INDEPENDENT 3rd party company to investigate and state what should be done. Then incorporate it and FIRE all involved in this play.
  7. Totally Agree, +1, I think the CR-V is very overrated and the Patriot got a bad rap due to them not paying Consumer reports to Spew their this is the best crap.
  8. +1 Totally agree! Media is Agenda driven regardless if conservative or liberal. The days of Integrity and honor in reporting the news to allow the public to know the facts are gone.
  9. Outstanding assessment and I wish the news would cover these cases in this manner. The sensationalism to get ratings has made most reporters have no honor nor any integrity.
  10. Nope most so called professional sports teams are over paid and clearly over valued. Plenty of lazy people in it for a quick buck and return on investment to the fans. Plenty of games this weekend showed this.
  11. But this probably gets better gas mileage than all their others.
  12. Sorry wings, I have to disagree the car is ugly. Terrible rear headroom and a loss of internal cargo space all for the stupid coupe look in a station wagon.
  13. So it would seem that VW was wanting to show the best HP / Torque / MPG on the market but they would have fallen short if they had used DEF. Seems like this came down to how much could they skirt the law to give Executives better bonuses while not really following the law. I hope both Europe and the US fine VW heavily for this 3 Billion plus would do it for the damage done.
  14. Surprising it took this long for a University to question why everyone else has to use DEF tanks and VW did not. This should have raised red flags years ago. Like Drew and Mud, I do wonder what they are hiding with this programming. Interesting is that Europe noticed and finished their research to find that VW Diesels have been on average spewing out 7 times higher emissions than the Euro 6 standards allow. Europe report is found here: http://www.theicct.org/sites/default/files/publications/ICCT_PEMS-study_diesel-cars_20141010.pdf The report and I could totally be misunderstanding, but they say on average all the diesels in Europe put out 40% more emissions than expected for Euro6 standards and that either car companies like VW went with defeat software or too little DEF to control it. If they used the proper amount of DEF to meat the spec, the HP / Torque numbers would be noticeably reduced as would MPG.
  15. This is no different than any of the other big defect issues covered up. Nor did anyone go to jail from the Power issues in California that made the Erin Brockovich story so big. We have had decades of these cover ups and people expect it to change?
  16. Yawnnnnnnnnn, To some this will be exciting, but after having been in these cars, they are small, tight, ok quality and very ugly. For Citroen to return to the US, they are going to have some huge hurdles to get over and they are going to have to really study the market. I see the DS as a Buick / Acura competitor than a true luxury competitor and the story is right, DS means NOTHING to the US and the tech crowd. The young new money will see nothing in this brand I believe.
  17. Debbie Downer. Negative Nancy. Pessimistic Patty. Bitchy Betty. Party Crasher. Kill Joy. Although I agree with what you wrote.... Yup that is me and more, but I could see the following in a Camaro and that would rock! Rated Torque: 560 Lb Ft Peak (w/150kW controller) Rated Power: 420 HP Peak (w/150kW controller) Max RPM: 10,000 AM Racing AMR Dual Stack 250-90 AC Motor - Liquid Cooled, Permanent Magnet - RemyPure electric using 400Amp; Batteries to get a 250 mile range or more.
  18. At 2:29 you hear a hard crunch on the transmission, so I think it is a manual. Wonder if this could be a twin turbo V8 they are testing in the camero body. New motor for Cadillac?
  19. The mustang, Bronco and Jeep should have been made the rest of them is true garbage and should have not had been built. Agree with the rest of you, that there are many others that should be on the list of awesome concepts that never got built. Three of the ones I would buy if they built them!
