  1. Burn the radical Greenies and pass a Global Emission and crash standard so you build an auto that can sell everywhere.
  2. This is very cool and I am excited by this. Look forward to see how much of the concept is kept in the production version.
  3. The days of gas guzzling V8, V10 or even V12 are limited. The mass sales will be the TTV6 or in MB case TTI6. Hybrid will get a bigger push as they focus on meeting the new emission and MPG requirements. I expect both the Hybrid and TTV6 to do very well. The V series in this car will be like the AMG a halo auto with limited sales.
  4. Very cool, nice to see just how great this car will become.
  5. Very interesting, the photo's from Frankfurt just did nothing for me. Yet these photos are much better and make it look very stylish indeed. Very nice for an entry level CUV.
  6. And that is easy to address as there is a service bullet about just such a thing, Beretta WATER LEAK DIAGNOSTIC GUIDE.pdf or the web site http://beretta.net/how_to/waterleak.htm Also, many people have inspected and found the following which causes the leak also, got this off the Chevrolet forum on Beretta's. Check the case & cover for the heater core. If they are cracked they will cause a leak into your vehicle. Not very expensive parts either about $20/ea. Then replace the carpet and pad new for a fresh new experience and no mold smell.
  7. That's the only thing about the refresh that I don't like. It looks tacked on or aftermarket at close inspection. I'd like to see one in person to be sure though. On the right side you can see clearly they they beveled the strip down to match the headlight size, but since it is all white or any color for that matter it easily blends in looking more like a mismatch. Over all I think it was poorly executed. They could have done that grill better to match.
  8. Full of win, right there That was a good scene in Planet of the Apes. A fitting example of VW. Agree, I have to say this is one of the ugliest versions of the Truck. GMC wins this round for having a superior looking nose.
  9. ^^^ I agree with his assessment of white space fillers of niche auto's that can be global in sales and profit at lower quantity.
  10. And the best part is that they can sell their niche market engineering work to others who can't spare the resources to do so. Mazda's just on a roll. That diesel probably won't be here in time for any current product. They're having a lot of trouble meeting regulations and also justifying the certification of the engines. Also, I think I read somewhere that it was Mazda and then Honda that first commented on how they were baffled by how VW (before dieselgate) was able to certify its diesels that didn't have exhaust after treatment. So Mazda is also trying to go the route of a NoX trap instead of exhaust after treatment and it's exceedingly difficult. This is the rub, I understand there are Royalties to pay, but when there is demand for a diesel version, why not just go with the Exhaust Pee Treatment for now while continuing to work on the Nox Trap solution that as far as I know no one has got to work yet.
  11. WOW, I have to complement Mazda, that is a sharp looking CUV and the interior is sharp as well. Probably the best looking CUV from Japan at this time.
  12. Should do them well as Mitsu has been hurting for product that can sell and the Andriod/Apple Auto system will attract the youth.
  13. Over all very nice looking car, interior is excellent. The look does have a bit of Jag to it.
  14. Nice looking update, but it does remind me of the 300 now. Copy one of the best selling full size sedans?
  15. Looks like some one hit it in the face. Not a pretty looking auto at all.
  16. I know lots of people love their Saturn, but I have to say any auto with a center mounted dash is a deal breaker for me. I like it right in front of me. These types of dashes scream cheap to me by the auto company. Over all looks clean but I would rather have the Beretta and fix it up with the money your dad is willing to spend.
  17. No as Dodge Viper has 645HP 600 lbs of torque. For the Ram Trucks they go with 450 lbs of torque and 310HP. I think it really boils down to the cam they use, the programming, yet with that said, I have never understood the Lambo and Ferrari with all the HP and little itty bitty torque. One consistent issue with DOHC Engines is their HP is great but they seem for the most part to be Torque limited. GM is one of the few builders where they do seem to get far more Torque out of their OHVC design engines than most but people complain when it has all the torque to get you moving and enough HP to sustain that movement but not a race car level of HP with a 9K red line or some crazy high RPM figure.
  18. Nice CUV in many ways, but I am not a fan of the rear or the huge blind spots that seem to be coming common on these types of auto's.
  19. Ok then you could have a possible oil pump dying, not uncommon in the Berretta, more time than work to replace it. Also I would think your starter is shorting out and dying as they will drain the battery when they start to go. Since this is not multiple little electrical things in the car, then these are pretty easy to fix, even a complete exhaust with cat is not that much. If you do not have the time, you could still have them all done at a reliable 3rd party shop much cheaper than spending 7K on a new used auto with it's own issues.
  20. Got this email today from GM Fleet sales talking up their new 2016 lineup for fleet / government sales. 48MPG Chevy Malibu Hybrid, 40MPG Cruze and the 1000 miles between fill-ups VOLT. Course they also talk about the rest of the chevy family but some interesting marketing on their top 3 auto's that fleets should be buying.
  21. That is too funny, sorry for the multiple reads, but to me the bump over the Nav system reminds me of teens and zits. Just ugly dash design.
  22. Yup, I can understand that the Electrical can be a PIA, but consider how cheap it is to buy new harnesses and then it is the labor of putting it in, but you could verywell end up loving the car all over due to being solid and dependable if the rest of the powertrain is solid. How many miles are on the car? What specific electrical issues have shown up?
  23. Front on view and 3/4 view is traditional Lambo, Rear end also but just blah. Over all I have always liked the tight low swept looks of Lambo's. The big disappointment is the Engine as always, Ton of HP, Little Bitty Torque. Have to rev the hell out of it just to get it moving and then there are better cars out there for less money than this. They really need to start from Scratch on their style and especially engines.
