  1. Yes, I believe that will/already here in the P90D. I'll have to double check. Actually according to their web site which allows you to set speed and AC on or off, it tells you the Mileage of a charge. https://www.teslamotors.com/models So the best model for battery length is the 85D at 55mph with AC off and outside air at 70 degrees you get 347 miles range on 19" rims. 21" rimes drops this to 341 miles. If we put the speed at 70mph a more reasonable speed for the average driver, you get 261 or 255 based on 19" or 21" rims. I do not see any option for a 90s series, but the top end on the web site is the P85D with Ludicrous mode.
  2. For a brand that does not sell that many auto's, it seems a bit extreme. Right now it would be nice to just get some quality products out the door.
  3. Great news if they can deliver on the 310 mile range with 80% recharge of battery pack in 15min. Hopefully we see more auto's with longer range and faster recharge times.
  4. Love costco for this stuff, they currently have the Mobil 1 Full Sythetic, 6 quarts for $37.99 and the Professional Extended Oil Filters for $19.99 you then get a $20 instant rebate. $37.99 + $19.99 - $20.00 = $37.98. Should be fine for more auto's, but if you do have to buy a second set, you are still ahead with the extra filter and oil.
  5. Went to a large Mui Thai fight event last night as my nieces husband had his first sanctioned fight. 3 rounds and Steve knocked out the guy in the first round. TKO The other guy was a bit taller but same weight as Steve but clearly underestimated Steve who was not as defined but as a job he repairs semi truck tires on the side of a freeway. He is Samoan and while he still has some fat to loose, Jess has had him on a good diet and he is strong as an OX. He is also left handed and I do not think the guy realized that as Steve knocked him out with a left hook. Enjoyable, will say best fight was the woman, they just kicked ass. Far more aggressive fighters than the guys.
  6. I believe GM should take their mid size trucks and have a VOLT power train also. This would be a big hit with gov agencies that need green trucks to work around the city, county, etc. VOLT power train I believe would serve this well. You could have a bigger battery pack under the bed give the truck a 200 mile range and it would be a big hit.
  7. Hugs to you for seeing the value in the Bolt. Plus who would not enjoy paying about $50 a month to power their auto compared to gas prices. Electricity especially of green sources will be the new oil barrons.
  8. ^ I agree with what you have stated Hyperv6, I also think Tesla should be a powertrain supplier. They could make more money and resolve the whole dealership issue.
  9. Did the person get hit or were they driving it as if it was a race car? I just do not understand how a person wrecks their new ride in only 20 miles. Glad to see you pop back up Scarlet, enjoy all the new peeps and the variety of stories.
  10. WTF is up with the PIG Nose Grill? The ProMaster van is still butt ugly, but then it is a van. The new chrome grill is enough to make me Just do not get what they hell the stylist was thinking with that grill?
  11. ??? Scout, not sure what El Kabong is talking about but please tell us a little bit about yourself, type of auto's you like, hobbies, etc.
  12. Makes sense with the crewcab models, you get a very versatile auto. GM is doing well in this segment, I am sure Ford and Ram are reviewing it as there is money on the table till the next Gas run up in prices.
  13. Someone is crying over spilled milk. I do think those laws are very much out dated for requiring dealerships myself though.
  14. Bill Clinton did that in the 90's and we still did not get better roads. Then Shrub spent Trillions on his personal war and we still did not win. Wasn't my point dfelt but in my only defense of Bush Jr. he also had to use a military that was cut in half by the Clinton administration during the 90's. There is a direct cause and effect link there but I don't want to talk politics here. It never gets anyone anywhere here. True and I will also respect and stay away since this is not the political thread. My point is no matter who is in office, they waste money out of the country rather than taking care of the country first. Our infrastructure is pathetic and we need to build a modern electrical grid, natural gas, roads, etc. I believe we can all agree we need to invest in America first before elsewhere.
  15. Welcome to the best Auto Forum on the Planet!

  17. I am excited by this, but sadly it is also still just a half ass measure as the current highway infrastructure work needed is estimated at $400 Billion. So while this will help, it will not really address replacing the old worn out bridges and roads nor will it really address the need for better mass transit and freeway expansion to deal with congestion. Cut a third of the 1800 military bases around the world and use that money on rebuilding America.
  18. I do not think they will have a choice as Germany is already having a major problem with acid rain and destruction of the forests due to it. The German gov is working to change out of diesel mode and into green mode. I would expect a drop in diesel and manuals.
  19. So you like them short and fat. Got it!
