  1. Very cool for those that like to make changes to keep their wheels looking fresh. Personally I do not like the looks of those rims. I also wonder about how well the inserts would stay especially if you hit potholes. We see plenty of auto's that have lost their hub caps, I can see this being like that and then you end up with an ugly rim.
  2. My bad, I have corrected it. i3's are BUTT UGLY! Solid Color one has 16K miles on it and reduced to $32K, is fully loaded but still over priced for what you get.
  3. Yup you are right, by the time I built my ESV Platinum the way I wanted I hit $100,972 which includes $5,027 worth of options Plus sales tax which here in Washington is 10%.
  4. At the rate we're going, I'm not going to get to do any skiing here on the east coast Come visit Seattle and enjoy our skiing! https://www.stevenspass.com/site 15" of freshies overnight. Another day of glidding. https://www.stevenspass.com/site/mountain/cams
  5. Interesting, agree with him that RWD is awesome but wonder if GM would allow him to buy the auto rights to continue to build and create new autos on that platform. Plus you have to ask if Australia is even willing to pump billions of public dollars into this.
  6. Came across a bunch of butt ugly i3 last night at the mall. One is bad enough but when you have multiple together it is a freakin Horror. Who ever thought that styling was cool needs to have a mental health screening.
  7. Cool, this should be very interesting to see what they do in comparison to the Escalade. Wonder if they will have a Normal Wagoneer and a Wagoneer XL to compete against the Escalade ESV?
  8. Saw a show special on that french auto in Canada. Some amazing technology but I have to say I find the style butt ugly.
  9. Loving the snow we are getting in the mountains, going to enjoy another weekend of skiing.
  10. ^ +10000 % love your statement!
  11. Glad I can make you laugh. I have come to realize that most of both sides of my family being all German are very conservative pricks that have a hard time accepting change or differences in others. Probably another reason my parents left everyone in Missouri and the LA area and moved to Seattle back in the mid 60's where I was born and raised. Gotta love being free and accepting of all. Happy Holidays to everyone in the last 10 days of 2015!
  12. Your last sentence is what gives your bias away... @ 6'6" tall, there arent many vehicles that fit your body anyway...and so probably the ONLY vehicles you fit in ARE fullsized SUVs...so THAT makes it less of an engineering problem from VW and more of a genetic deformality on your part... Dont take the last thing that I said too personal, I just have height envy. You are exactly 1 foot taller than I... OK...maybe 11.5 inches taller. Im 5'6 1/2" No offense taken Just an American Born full German where I am average for my family. My sisters are a bit shorter at 6'2" and 5' 10" tall.
  13. Personal taste. Germans are far more conservative than many Americans and they do not have the same attitude towards road trips and personal transportation. Many people do not like sitting on the ground in a station wagon. They would rather have the higher seating position of a CUV/SUV.
  14. Having been in the actual auto. Once I have the front seat set, getting out, only kids could sit behind me. At 6'6" the sedan fails to hold 4 adults in my family. German and all tall like me so I stand by my remarks and clearly they moved the drivers seat up to allow him to have room for the tea bit. Any tall person can fit in any car if you do not worry about fitting others in. For me, this car fails due to the roof line and lake of headroom in the backseat as I hate the coupe look. While this has a bit more headroom over the new trend of all auto's looking like coupes, it still fails for a big person like me. I will stay with my full size SUV's thank you,
  15. Tesla does it better than this and that is pure electric. Over rated, over sold from a marketing stand point and now 3 years too late. FAILURE on many fronts. Auto Blog has a video of them driving this new NSX. http://www.autoblog.com/2015/12/18/2017-acura-nsx-pricing-info-official/ The video shows more interior harmonic noise than a proper burble of a powerful engine. Externally you get that tinny Asian can sound that just sucks. That is the Sport+ mode, Sport is even more Tinny and Quiet mode goes EV. Some cool technology including the Brake by Wire. You have electronic brakes and they simulate a brake pulse feel but there really is none. Good video and now I really see that car as an interesting technology study, but not inspired as a performance auto.
  16. YAWNNNNNNNN So what will it do in HP, Torque and MPG. Lets get to the specifics. The body design is generic like all the rest.
  17. Winter Storm Warning for Washington state, piling up the lovely snow in the mountains for skiing and now xmas eve and day could be white in seattle
  18. But my Trailblazer SS AWD is body on frame and rocks in being driven hard through the corners as well as straight line and I do not have the so called body roll and swagger of what some like to accuse the BOF auto's of. The right product with the right tuning, suspension, rims, tires, etc can make all the difference in the world.
  19. That is exactly what I wanted to say...but I figured I did not want to waste my energy trying to explain what the Phaeton was/is...This car debuted in 2002...You know...13 years have passed...if people havent learned what this car was all about in 13 years, there is no sense in me wasting my time and energy trying to teach. I was ignorant about this car in 2002. I hated it. I hated VW for it. But sometime between 2002 and 2015, I read up on it and learned about it and soon, my hatred disappeared at the same rate as my ignorance... For what the Phaeton can do and was engineered to do, I respect it. I admire them as cars, and as a big lux sedan lover, I've looked into them on the used market. However, I cannot get around the extremely expensive care and feeding of them... even by German Uber Sedan standards. A luxury car for people under 5' 10" tall. Had some great engineering but over all was over rated.
  20. So here are two stories that cover saying that SUV's and CUV's surpassed Sedans. http://www.carscoops.com/2014/07/suvs-and-crossovers-surpass-sedans-in.html http://jacksonville.com/autos/2014-07-18/story/suv-crossover-surpass-sedan-vehicle-registrations We even had our own coverage of SUVs/CUVs surpassing sedan registration / sales in 2014. http://www.cheersandgears.com/_/news/industry/suvs-and-crossovers-pass-sedans-in-sales-r2305 Interesting figures. Wonder who is right?
  21. 579HP cool, but what is the torque, I have to imagine this is one of those over rated dual overhead cam engines with 300+ torque and 579HP. Pathetic.
  22. WOW, another butt ugly euro van. What is up with bringing in Euro designed and built butt ugly vans. I am impressed with the interior space for a small mini van but why could they not give it a better nose than one that looks pinched at the A pillar. I know it is just paint but it really is distracting.
