  1. Car is still Butt Ugly, will it have better reliability? I doubt it. Cool that it is AWD with some power, hopefully Fiat does not make the mistake of detuning the engine. This auto will need every pony to make it move and have some cool factor.Hopefully Torque is equal to or better than the 237hp. Wonder if it is really AWD or 4WD or 4x4 as a powertrain.
  2. Scion loses on all fronts to what everyone else is putting out as a competitive entry level auto.
  3. True, good catch, Updated post with the 2015 Volt that does share more in common being powertrain but otherwise nothing else. Different sheet metal, different interior. Cars were very different.
  4. Wow a "4.6L" pentastar that gets 25-35 mpg in a heavy-ass brick of a full-size sedan?? It's crazy because Fiat-Chrysler can barely manage that with their 4-cylinder cars. Torque NOT Horsepower is where it is at for moving heavy auto's and getting good gas mileage.
  5. Pool side ad was good, no better than what MB or BMW has done. No your wrong SMK, this is not a dressed up VOLT, you can put them side by side and they clearly are not the same. The interior was decades better than the volt. Exterior made a clear A&S statement. On top of this how can you say this about the ELR when MB has clearly done this with multiple models of just dressing up a pig with lipstick. 2016 ELR and Volt 2015 Volt more equal to 2016 ELR but still very different.
  6. Awesome narrative. Thanks for writing this up.Glad to hear you enjoyed the drive after driving your truck so much.
  7. Glad to see GM doing so well, I hope the executive board pays down debt and any other pension obligations and not let it sit as a future owed. Like Ford, the world economy is not doing so well so right now I hope people are paying down debt to get to a better place. Awesome GM for the Profit, now do the responsible thing and pay your bills.
  8. Finally, a stupid idea that could have been done under Toyota is dead. They hit it on the nose when the comment was made of Toyota being like GM of old. Right now there is still too many name plates in the auto world. As a true global economy kicks in, I expect to see more name plates retire as they move to less. The big boys will survive and the small one will die. China is the next place to end up having auto name plate reduction. Way to many china companies trying to build cars and are only equal to Yugo or worse.
  9. Take the Sixteen and add a bit more Arts n Science to it with a few more creases and this would be a true S killer!
  10. So 6hrs later with skin graft off the right side of the cheek going into the thigh I have a new nose in a nose cast. Have to work from home as I have to limit interaction and cannot lift anything till next Wednesday when it comes off and I see my new nose. Thanks all for your well wishes, joking and thinking of me. Look forward to being back online and enjoying the debates of the auto world.
  11. Wow man, it looks unfreaking believable. An ST wagon?!! I just wish for once, people would NOT buy a crossover and buy this thing, or others things that compete directly with this thing. You get the style of a sedan, with the utility of the crossover, with the exclusivity of hero vehicle. My wife and I both grew up with our families having Oldsmobile Delta 98 Custom Cruiser. I loved the rear facing 3rd Seat. That was mine. This picture is what our station wagon looked like, but my wife says her families was more of a light yetllow with wood grain. With that said, while I understand your desire for people to not want to buy crossovers, more and more people are finding that cars are not that great on the terrible road system the US has let crumble. If you do a road trip, people have found the higher seating position and road clearance to be a big benefit in dealing with potholes, cracked/crumbling roads. I myself happen to like driving my Suburban and my other SUV's over a regular car sitting so much lower. As long as they offer variety, that is what counts and if you like the station wagon import one. You would be surprised the numerous ways to get around normal regulations and import a car you like to drive here. I have seen so many R33 & R34 Skylines in the Seattle area.
  12. Prius Family I believe will continue to shrink as Toyota and other companies like GM find ways to use the Hybrid plug in model on more common desired auto's. For GM, I hope the Equinox / Terrain ends up with a plug in Hybrid power train. My gut tells me the RAV4 Hybrid will do much better than the Prius V. After all everyone wants a CUV with better MPG but no loss in functionality.
  13. So found this on Motor Trends web site, the top 10 concepts that should have been built. I have to say I really like most of them and the one Chrysler did, while the first time seeing it for me, this should have been done from day one. Talk about pure sex on wheels. http://www.roadandtrack.com/car-culture/g6565/10-concept-cars-we-wish-had-made-it-to-production/?slide=1 My Favorite two are as follows: Chrysler Atlantic Concept Cadillac Sixteen Plenty of other cool auto's but these two are my fav's.
  14. Two weeks ago went into the dermatologist. Found a spot on my nose, skin cancer. Today went into the Skin Cancer Alliance in Seattle for removal. Now I have a bobbed nose, packed and face bandaged up. Tomorrow, I go see a Skin Cancer Plastic Surgeon for Nose reconstruction. Skin will come from my ass, so now I really will have my ass on my nose. So if I am not around the next few days, this is why. Catch up with you all later.
  15. Naw, Use the tech they have learned from the VOLT and BOLT and Build a True XT5 EV with 300 mile range and give Tesla a run for it's money. This should be on dealer lots by 2018.
  16. So we need to convert coal to Natural Gas, a logical stepping stone. Increase the capacity of solar and wind, plus make ALL homes being built now required to have Solar roofs so they can help generate their own power plus return to the grid what is not used or needed. We can improve all this buy cutting half the military bases around the world and stop being the global police man and let the Arabs protect their own oil to market. Plus the east coast based on the last few years are not using Arab oil. The US is self sufficient using Tar sand oil and US pumped crude. We do not even bring in oil from Venezuela any longer. Let them figure it out on funding themselves and lets focus on rebuilding america strong. Put the soldiers from the closed bases on the border to keep illegals out. Rebuild a smart grid, updated water and sewer systems. Roads, etc. We can be strong but it comes from investing in ourselves and paying down debt. Yes we have climate change, to off set this we need to find better, smarter ways. Auto's are not the polluting pigs they once were, but can still get cleaner. Yet we have plenty of other options. All trains need to convert their diesel generators to CNG or LNG. All long haul trucks should also be CNG/LNG. So how does this rant really come full circle to the CT6? Simple, we can and should have this luxury bad boy as a Hybrid, pure EV and alternative fuel such as BioDiesel or CNG.
  17. I am very excited that Ford is doing so well, but having the SECOND highest debt load of auto companies is not a good thing and I do wonder how the Asian Rim slow down will affect FORD. Ford is already expecting large increase in losses in South America. So debt is a concern. Job loss here will affect us greatly.
  18. Cool review, was wondering how this matched up against others. Bummer that a solid ridding auto has to loose out due to a less than stellar motor.
  19. GM needs to have 3rd party Certified GM parts players. This way GM does not have to get involved past 2-3 types of wood, Carbon fiber, etc. Small quantity use of parts like this can get expensive for a company like GM. Yet this is a perfect job for a small company at a higher price to do. Before anyone says there are 3rd party suppliers, lest I remind you that many 3rd party suppliers have terrible fit n finish. A certified program would guarantee tight fit n finish.
  20. Would be nice if Chevy had performance packages Level 1, 2 & 3 for all their CUV's.
  21. ^ Probably true, but I would like to still see it as it is a Luxury auto maker. I see the massage chair is only in the S class and 7 series so I guess for the US market, only the best of the best on product lines to offer this.
  22. ^ I get what they are trying to be funny, but I just do not see him as funny to me. This is a good Bye Bye Video and it is a Chrysler!
  23. Not to hijack ocnblu's spotlight... but I drove my '15 Canyon in the snow last weekend (total measured 20.5 inches where I live). Not one issue with the truck and it continued on its way regardless of the amount of snow on the road, the slushy semi-plowed areas, or the slick spots from snow drifts. Handles much better in 4WD than my '06 Envoy 4WD did. So then are you ready to trade it in for the Duramax Diesel version? Ocnblu and GMTruckGuy74 please post some pics of your rides in the snow! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE
  24. I am wondering if the CT6 as well as the whole Cadillac line up will get some of the creature comforts you find in China. Massage chairs, extended length version so us tall folks will have extra leg room. I would really like to see some of the cool things sold in China offered here also. Global is Global so why only keep it in China?
