  1. +1 for stating what many of us agree on, Buicks EV entry should be an Electra EV!
  2. Drew had mentioned he would love to electrify his Buick if memory serves me correct.
  3. Welcome to the Land of OZ! Look forward to seeing what you find on your travels.
  4. Saw the story of this stop by police, the woman was heavily drunk in Roselle, Ill. Damn, I say the Lincoln Wins, Love to see a Euro or Asian Auto do this. Check out the Video on CNN http://www.cnn.com/2016/03/07/us/tree-car-driver-arrested-illinois/index.html Can anyone top this? Figure we could go for a good auto versus nature thread!
  5. Nice write up, glad to see they are improving the auto so much. Wonder if because this was a loaner for auto reporters if the car is not on an older version of software or if the car was just trashed on by other drivers so the turbo is confused?
  6. It's likely coincidental since nobody watched Demolition Man. WHAT Sandra Bullock was HOT, Lots of action, Cool GM autos for that time and I own it on Bluray. What is not to like about the movie? Course I still think BMW watched it allot and just copied what GM already did 20 years ago.
  7. Here is a Buick that is the Ultimate Taxi with a Big Diesel Engine. Here is an Old Buick that FCA could never touch with the crap they build.
  8. World Fastest Electric Car Versus Ferrari, Pretty freakin cool. This company is looking pretty good too for a sweet ride that is Pure Electric. White Zombie 0 to 60 in 1.8 seconds and a 11.8 second quarter mile. Balthazar are you saying non of these rides would interest you?
  9. This is going to really hurt VW, saw the VW dealership by my house and it looked closed, so pulled in and sure enough there was a sign on the door that said they would now be closed on Sundays to give their employees time with their families. This is a HUGE dealership that was open 7 days a week with Service 7 days a week. Based on sales, I bet VW dealerships are really hurting.
  10. WOW, Someone watch over and over and over again Demolition Man. So BMW just copied what GM did for that movie almost to a T!
  11. Yup, it is amazing but you can have a whisper silent Electric auto or you can have one that is tuned to allow the whine of the EV goes as is or as I have seen, there are those that actually tune the sound that comes from electric motors to so called enhance the experience. Noise or Motor sound either way you still have a distinct sound that can be had with electric motors.
  12. Very cool, Glad you are customizing it the way you love your auto. Hope it stays that way for ever.
  13. Ignorance is Bliss and Marchionne is proof of that. Anyone who has driven a Electric race focused auto knows that he is wrong and you can have one of the most amazing experiences in an EV auto. Yes Ocnblu will agree with Marchionne probably as he is all things petro, but I have to say that when the EV is done right, the overall driving experience is exhilarating and you loose nothing except some hearing loss just like the over noisy Harley Davidson bikes. I doubt the V8 or V12 engine really gives that much to the experience except for badge snobs who will say they have to have this engine to survive and be elite. Which ever company brings out the right noise tuned EV will win big time.
  14. Best comment in this thread is by Balthazar: "Plus, might be advisable that all driverless cars look a LOT more like a car, and a lot less like a Pokemon." Over all I am not thrilled by this being on the road with me but I also know humans are far to lazy to take responsibility for where they drive. We will see this, how soon, is any ones guess. I can say this, the tipping point for EVs is 2022 according to the battery industry. EVs will be cheaper than petro autos is the forecast.
  15. All auto companies need to be investing in this as there are many people that would like to have an auto where they just say take me here and not deal with driving. Those of us that love road trips and driving are still plenty but also becoming the lessor of the bulk and in 25 to 50 years we will have a market for those that want self driving. This makes sense to me but I wonder is it better to build your own software for this or pay another company for it? That is the bigger question, Do you build up a developer group or pay Apple, Android or Tesla for theirs?
  16. To your first sentence, I say "duh". That was not the point though. The point was that the SS put that M4 to shame in the performance department, thus redefining the performance to dollar ratio argument. The SS is just proving to be that good and that should be respected. Lets take this to the next logical step which is the Entry level auto brand is surpassing a Luxury Level Name Plate showing they are living off their past glory and not really making a quality product that people should and would want to spend the extra money on. Lately there are plenty of Audi / BMW / MB products that I question the $$$ being spent when you can get superior product from other luxury and lower level auto companies.
  17. Thanks for posting these pics, your right that red is a bit much.
  18. Another Vaporware excuse while he continues to steal millions from the American name plate and pockets the cash in various ways and wastes it on pie in the sky dreams of bringing back dead name plates.
  19. The big one, right? I've seen only a few. Actually, probably just a tad less than the Ram. I don't see near as many of the 2500/250's as I do the small Transit Connects and slowly seeing more of the little Chevy vans as well. Sorry, ment to have it plural to cover both. But yea the big one in addition to the small one.
  20. Has anyone seen the Nissan Van's? Seattle has gotten a bunch of them as Taxis and I have seen a few of the nissans as works vans and only seen retail sitting on the lot. Course they are never advertised so I wonder if anyone even knows about them. GM has also done a piss poor job of advertising the mini van.
