  1. G. David Felt Staff Writer Alternative Energy - www.CheersandGears.com Nissan: Introducing the Fuel Station of the Future Per Nissan, 54% of the world population lives in cities. The need to not waste space for traditional gas stations makes the power companies your new station by having inductive charging in the streets and having the auto's self charge and self park to free up the charging space for others to use. Zero emission where the world will eventually end up at is the belief of the Engineers and Nissan corporation and as such they are looking at the Fuel stations of the Future and how they can be implemented for better use by the population. Nissan believes the V2G or Vehicle to Grid cordless connection is the future. Nissan believes that with a 7 out of 10 people living in Dense Urban areas by 2050 that V2G will play an even bigger role. This is all part of the current 2016 Green Program by Nissan as well as their long range planning of where they see the future. Future Leaf with inductive charging? The IDS Concept is an amazing proto type in autonomous driving but also offers a glimps of Nissans Electric auto's IDS Concept Info Yet then we also have what is going on now with the Chevy VOLT and Home Wireless charging: PLUGLESS Wireless charging for the Chevy Volt TODAY! As much as some will resist the EV auto's, Nissan is working on their 60kWh battery pack for the Leaf 2.0 which should be shown off soon possibly at the geneva auto show. This new battery not only is designed to handle rapid DC charging but also is good for 300 miles according to the Nissan. The BOLT pushed Nissan to respond. So the future could very well be cordless long range rapid charge batteries. What do you think?

What I love best to cook, the way it brings family and friends together and in a Salute to Sauviloquent I start the BBQ thread for us to post what we love, what we think others will love, etc. Post your foodie love and tell about it.
  3. WOW, Master Piece of auto engineering. Way to Go GM!
  4. Welcome Back JB, Glad to have you pop back in and join the discussions.
  5. Agree with you Olds on the McD and BK burgers, but will not go out of my way for one, rather BBQ my own with a variety of stuffing in them. Nothing like a proper Stuffed Burger. Favorite is Diced Jalapenos with pepper jack cheese inside. Spicy goodness. Gouda is another wonderful center stuffing but have to watch it as it kicks up the richness factor.
  6. I HATE the 430/F430 Scuderia and the 360 Modena...so for me...if the question was for those...Id EASILY choose the new NSX. Sorry Bill, Have to agree with Olds here both are rather ugly to me, so if I had to choose them or the new NSX, I would take the NSX but not before I tried to work it to get the cash so I could buy what I really like.
  7. Lovely, I see that the Stockholders have now Sued Class Action ShareHolder lawsuit asking for minimum of 3.7 Billion for lost Value due to the deceit by the board and CEO. I wonder if VW will be forced to declare bankruptcy?

  9. Still cannot see what it is? Weird but for some reason some JPGs just do not show up. What auto did you drive for a few days? In San Diego for the week, was walking back to the hotel and a Fiat 500e pulled up next to me. I know California is one of the few markets Fiat is willing to sell the 500e in. I will have to say way quieter than a Nissan Leaf. Amazing at how quiet the 500e is. Still BUTT UGLY, but Quiet.
  10. A PIG with LIPSTICK! Looking at the face, you have slit eyes, bulbous nose and a small narrow frowny mouth. Failure no matter how you look at it.
  11. Why do you think that, I love these concepts and thinking of what you would do or not do differently. Do NOT give up. I think you have some great threads.
  12. As expected, GM has always thrilled the world with concepts and rarely ever delivered. They need to get some balls and realize that while not everything will be a hit, if the public and press love a product, it probably can at least break even. To quote a very popular movie: If you Build it they will come!
  13. This is going to get far more uglier than VW knows. They are just shooting themselves in the foot over and over and the public will remember. I doubt VW will be more than half it's size before the scandal erupted in another year.
  14. Yawn, As boring as the rest of the Toyota product line and a lower half of their ugly predator grill. I am sure it will sell well to the Toyota Faithful, but this auto does nothing to stir the passion of wanting one and taking it on a road trip.
  15. Meh, Too little way too late. Old auto vaporware trying to keep people excited about stuff that is not being delivered or delivered very well. They are the Baby Boomer Asian version of a conservative mind set. Honda, make your cars more exciting for the masses and then you can waste money on Pie In The Sky vaporware products.
  16. I'm curious about that part. I haven't seen any info on what the revisions are. Edit: Found 'em - "For 2016, FCA released an updated version of the 3.6 L engine for the Jeep Grand Cherokee. This engine now featured two-stage variable valve lift (VVL), a cooled EGR, a new intake manifold, new fuel injectors, and new coil packs. It also features upgrades to the variable valve timing (VVT) system, an increased compression ratio (11.3:1), lower internal friction and lower weight. These improvements help to increase power as well as efficiency." Very cool to see these engineering improvements, but how does that relate to MPG? As everyone seems to be stating same HP / Torque or is that also wrong? Just wondering what the end point is for the updated motor, MPG = HP = Torque =
  17. ^ That is an interesting history note as I was always led to believe the ports went with Cylinder count. Thanks for the info Drew.
  18. SKOOL. How sick is this? Click to blow it UP! 2016_chevrolet_city_city-express.png Remember the days of REAL CUSTOM VANS!
  19. Agree with you there.... I understand the point you both are making but for most, the baby boomer generation and the vent ports in this case being fake were just bling and I do not see the bulk of the public wanting that kind of fake bling. Plus if they are going to have vent ports, then since this is a 4 banger, have 2 on each side not the top of the hood and have them vent the real heat from underneath out and down the side of the auto.
  20. Drew, did we not have a story about the Opel version of this and it had interior pictures? I was wanting to compare it with the current Encore to see how it looks. It's the first link William provided in the article. +1 to you. DOH - Did I brain fart that big time. This dash will be a much nicer update to an already successful CUV. Thank you,

  22. Love the Matt REAL HOOD VENTS hood upgrade on this car. It really makes it rock.
  23. Very solid write up, gotta love that. Sounds like a solid line up that the competition will use to gauge their reaction in their own auto lines. Should do well for GM.
