  1. Ehh, The northy Neighbors are not Polite? H'mmmm We'll what do you expect from a crazy social country, not like they have Trump to deal with or Hilly! The US ultimate Dumb N Dumber. Such a sad state of our political affairs.
  2. Gotta pass on the city naming thing, after all we are trying to build and sell a global brand. We need more global planet wide names. Course I am sure ganges in various cities would love it. You can see it now, I drive a Cadillac Dallas North Side Edition! Rollin Rollin
  3. Yup you just want a Sausage Fest! Bratwurst, Ballpark, Kosher, etc... To be honest. I like my sausages THICK. Minimum 1 foot long.... For me its Costco's Kirkland sausages.... Just in case you missed on the homo-erotic sexual undertones because TV Screen... Here is another: Its hard to stay excited with all this "start/stop" technology to save a few bucks on fuel when its such a small advantage. We'll at least you went Kosher!, After all Hebrew Nation makes Kirkland Signature Beef Dinner Franks! I do agree, sucks to have to start n stop. Rather just rev the V8 to the finish line and win like all American Pushrods do!

  5. That image does look like a Cadillac logo on the front. This would have made an awesome halo sports car for Cadillac.
  6. Very Cool, too bad this did not happen sooner. I agree sell it as a Cadillac. Love the Story in the AU web site. http://www.news.com.au/technology/innovation/motoring/new-book-reveals-holden-designed-a-top-secret-electric-supercar-just-before-the-2008-global-financial-crisis/news-story/68abb82af582eb4e0f4921082352f833 More images at the story online.
  7. Not on reliability. They have their place and purpose. What I'm leary of is some rather dubious fuel economy advantage claims certain manufacturers make over larger displacement non-turbo engines. I have no qualms with a turbo engine in of itself, but I remain unconvinced that it is inherently superior to an engine of larger cylinder count and/or displacement in terms of fuel economy. I totally agree with you on this point! Would love to hear from people who live in hilly areas like San Francisco, Seattle, etc. Would be interesting to hear how the start / stop works on the hills and if there is more roll back or not?
  8. It isn't fully loaded at 37,500. Cloth seating. But, "Chevy Bolt hatchback pricing was announced at $37,500 back in January, though pricing could still fluctuate closer to the car’s winter launch. Standard features include a big 10.2-inch MyLink infotainment system with an EV-specific navigation function, 360-degree cameras, and Wi-Fi. Based on how Chevy positioned the Spark EV, there will likely be another higher-spec trim level priced in the low $40,000 range that will come with safety features like forward collision alert and blind spot assistance, as well as leather." http://www.motortrend.com/news/tesla-model-3-vs-chevrolet-bolt-know-comparison/ If so, I hope I can get the leather and other luxury features I want without the nanny stupid idiot devices like the waste of money forward collision alert and blind spot. The blind spot I have come to see as a big distraction constantly blinking in the side mirror on the freeways. Oh you know that still will all be in one package that probably has like heated seats or something that you actually really want. But isn't that stuff usually capable of being turned off? Yes in the cadillacs I have driven, I was able to turn it off, but more and more I am seeing the stupid ultra liberals saying it needs to be enforced as it protects everyone and must be on at all times. I hope we never have to give up the ability to turn some stupid device off.
  9. Is that what your mom said about your Phallus? Fresh N Frosty, sounds like a Dairy Queen Commercial. "Come in and get your Fresh N Frosty Phallus while supplies last!" Courtesy of FapTurbo!
  10. Granted this is far better looking than the Tesla S which I honestly do not like and think the Karma is far better looking auto in the same price range. MB needs to dump those stupid looking thin wing like rear view mirrors and just go with camera stubs that have been approved in Japan already so that you get a full view in your center stack of both sides and rear. MB also needs to dump the stand up emblem and use a 3D hologram type emblem on the hood. That is the one item that is just so dated on this concept, that stand up emblem. MB hopefully will make the doors gullwing or suicide type. If your going to do the concept right, then they better not have standard normal door openings.
  11. I saw this and then some other stories as it looks like every auto company is now trying to figure out how to have auto driving along with some sort of toe hold in a Lyft or Ubber like business. I see plenty of BMW auto's on the street of Seattle being their ride share program or what ever it is called but never actually see them being driven.
  12. I agree with the have to turn a profit. I have mixed emotions about your big bite statement. A pure EV S-class will help pull in the few that left for Tesla, but with everyone bringing EV's out I have to wonder how big a bite MB can get now. This will boil down to who brings out what when and what options. I will say this, regardless of the luxury brand, they better plan to option like Tesla. If you do not have RWD/AWD and multiple battery options as well as their own version of Ludacris mode, you're bringing a knife to a gunfight.
  13. Wonder when the Camaro / Mustang EV will appear? We have the ability to do a 300 mile battery pack and the white Zombie and 222 have both shown performance is not a problem. I think we could capture a large Millennium crowd with an EV performance version.
  14. For the moment, we will be keeping the look and feel as close as we can to what we have today. I don't want to do too much major change all at once. Think 5th Gen Camaro to 6th Gen Camaro - It looks mostly alike, but everything underneath is all new and substantially upgraded with superior performance. Thanks You ROCK!
  15. Why Ew? I would think many people would love an auto start stop system that works when you push in the clutch and not have to rely on turning the auto on and off manually to save fuel. After all every little bit helps. Now the one interesting drawback I can see is if you are on hills in a city and trying to slip the clutch while also gasing to move forward, I would hope it would be pretty smooth or can be turned off as a feature.
  16. Since I originally posted this, Nissan has now stated that they are looking as a pickup truck version like Sparky as interest from city dwellers has gotten stronger. It would seem that with generation 2 of the Nissan Leaf coming and a 200+ mile range, people who live in the city and city governments that need maintenance trucks for work around the parks, city, etc. has grown the interest in this little Electric FWD pickup truck. With the BOLT and Ioniq out this fall, Leaf 2.0 out next year and many other EV auto's on the drawing board, who will be the first to have a mini EV pickup truck out to the public? What is your thoughts on this, is this a valid market to create one for or is it too early?
  17. Very excited to see the new software. Does it have optional interface choices?
  18. Stop-Start has worked in manuals for years. Put your foot into the clutch while not moving and the engine shuts off. My BMW rental in Germany did that to me 5 or 6 years ago. That is very cool. Learning something new every day here.
  19. Cool stuff, but I am seeing more and more stories about how old and dated the Dodge product line is and how FCA is doing nothing to update them. FCA could very well be the death of Dodge, Chrysler and Ram, they can always sell Jeep, but the others are looking more and more dated. FCA - Worlds Worst Managed Car Company. Sad
  20. You keep telling yourself that. Doesn't make it true but by all means, keep telling yourself that Mercedes isn't worried about Tesla. Either way, late to the game. Where is Cadillac, Lincoln, Acura, Lexus, JLR, and the rest of them? They don't even have electric cars in development yet. As far as you know they do not have anything in development, but they very well could. Remember this is a company that caught the whole world with their pants down when they showed off the BOLT and announced it going into production. The BOLT forced Tesla's hand in regards to the T3 and it also is forcing all auto companies to move forward with an EV. Cadillac very well could have a whole group of EV's on the drawing board that you and the rest of us know nothing about. MB is reacting to the fact that Tesla S is making inroads into their top end line of auto's. More and more people buy a Tesla over an S model from MB. Tesla Model S sold 50,300 units worldwide in 2015. The S-class was close to 100,000 the past 2 years. Tesla also has the only electric performance car on the market, what happens when there are 5 cars in that segment? I also read the average transaction price of a Model S is $79,000 vs $106,000 for an S-class, so we have a bit of a gap there. True but then Tesla is not heavily discounting their cars like MB does with the S-class nor have I found a Tesla S in private car rental service. I find many S-class auto's being used as taxis, aka private auto rental. I am willing to bet that half of the S-class sales are in use as a private chauffeur service to the public around the world. Much like how MB uses the E-class as the core taxis of Europe which accounts for their large sales numbers. No matter what all this is good for everyone, but Surreal is correct, more private owners are choosing a Tesla over the S-class as something special. S-class had this to themselves, but no more. More and more options are now available and people love the quiet ride of the Tesla. This is another reason the EVs will grow in popularity as battery density grows for longer range.
  21. Seems Tesla is back in the news for the Tesla S catching Fire. This time in France at a test drive event. http://www.seattletimes.com/business/tesla-car-catches-fire-during-promotional-event-in-france/
