Ram News: Rumorpile: Ram To Build Current 1500 Into 2019
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Ram
This makes total sense, but I wonder why not just have a stripped Rental version that is designed for abusive work? This would be a truck version that is not available at the retail dealerships.- 2 replies

So in thinking over the Black Label for the Continental, It would and should have been a default for this choice, BLACK CHROME! Black Chrome in all the regular chrome places would have made this as a Black Label decadent and striking. Black Label, AWD, TTV6 with Black Chrome, in a Metallic Black Paint job with Blacked out windows and Boom, you have an awesome ride!

So I really am a Monochromatic auto buyer that likes chrome on the rims as an accent, I would love to remove most of the chrome on this car. With that said, I played with the configurator to see what my options would be. Black Label Edition 800A 300A Edition Love the Burgundy color, crazy that I can get a better equipped car in the 300 than in the Black Label unless I am just not working their web site correctly.

This is a very tasteful full size sedan. Well executed with what I consider proper chrome accents for those that like the bling effect. I can also clearly see this as a monochromatic in this color and it would still be striking. This car I like allot and is to date the best I have seen out of all Lincoln's SUV, CUV's and cars. We'll done for a decent solid, probably best in class sedan competing against the rest of the mid tier OEMs such as Buick, Acura, Infinity, Lexus, etc. This car has the potential to even take on the top tier luxury auto companies. Just needs a few more tweaks, to get there. With that said, before they try to push this upstream, Lincoln needs to get the rest of their product line to be equal to this car, then they can move up again. Congratulations to Lincoln for executing an outstanding looking car.

Course if anyone wants to really kick MB AMG SUV, Turbo Porsche or the Supercharged Range Rover, you could turn to Hennessy who makes a supercharged 557hp 542lbs of torque monster Escalade. Just what Halloween has ordered! If that is not enough they do have their top end offer of the HPE 800 805 hp / 812 lbs of torque HPE800 Lets see BMW or MB beat that! Course this is only till the Escalade V arrives in the near future. Wonder if it will keep the same HP / Torque as the CTS or get detuned?

Alfa Romeo Drops Manual Option for Giulia Quadrifoglio :Comments
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Alfa Romeo
Business sense makes sense, today's DCT's are superior to a manual. No need for the manual any longer. I am actually suprised they would invest even for the Euro market since the updated emissions, yes blame VW is making the traditional Manual a history note.- 9 replies

China's Solution to Mass Transit, Drive Over the Cars!
G. David Felt replied to G. David Felt's topic in Industry News
If cities and states actually spent time focused on maximizing the space of the existing freeways, they would realize building up with mass transit over the top or the freeway system or going down the center would streamline so much in moving people around. -
VW News: 2018 Volkswagen Atlas Has A Tough Task Ahead of It
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Volkswagen
Failure, as stated by others, has all the potential, if they really had done market research here they would not have this dated, conservative Blah look. Plus the Engines, Really? Are you trying to compete with the D3 or Honda? Anemic at best. This is not going to win market share or fix their image. -
But But your Ford, so why not the Lincoln?

Red Bull rally is gonna be a hit with Millennials. It is amazing the interest in EV auto's by that segment. I agree with you take the money and run, VW had their day and the Diesel scandal has set them back in the public view about 25-30 years.

Would You Rather: Putting the 'Sport' in SUV Edition
G. David Felt replied to Frisky Dingo's topic in The Lounge
Not Thrilled by either one as they are not American, but then I have never been a fan of the bland Porsche look. Jaguar F-Pace S if I could only choose between these two. This is what I would rather have! Hellcat Jeep Wrangler Or I would take any of these custom Wranglers -
You should, I love my Escalade ESV platinum. Worth every penny! The road trips and ease of taking a group makes it worth it. Plus so much more, ya just do not realize how nice the Escalade is till you own one and spend hours behind the wheel driving and realize you're as comfy as the first min 18 hrs later.

This was a cool read on MT, their BIG Test of Luxury SUVs. http://www.motortrend.com/cars/cadillac/escalade/2015/the-big-test-large-luxury-suvs/ The end results were as follows: 6TH PLACE: INFINITI QX80 When you factor in worst in test fuel economy, a cramped third row, and those awkward looks, you have a big SUV that only one of us loved. 5TH PLACE: LINCOLN NAVIGATOR Although it’s cheaper than the others, it’s not nearly as luxurious. We love the powertrain and the ‘Gator’s utility. 4TH PLACE: LAND ROVER RANGE ROVER HSE Gorgeous truck, Gerry McGovern be praised. But the suspect build quality and pricey everything else leaves us cold. 3RD PLACE: LEXUS LX 570 Old age and treachery get some respect! Not ideal for all owners, but there’s something uniquely desirable about Lexus’ go-anywhere bruiser. 2ND PLACE: MERCEDES-BENZ GL450 Our former SUV of the Year is starting to show signs of age. Still, the GL remains one of the smartest SUVs you can buy. 1ST PLACE: CADILLAC ESCALADE PLATINUM The best looking, the best interior, the best sounding, and the quickest in our test. The Cadillac Escalade Platinum stole our hearts. In reading the write up, it was amazing to see many of the folks involved in the testing said while they all picked this as the SUV of the Year in 2015, looking back, the exterior and interior are sadly showing how dated it is. Not holding up well compred to the Escalade. I was also surprised by the fact that they found the Lexus was actually a better off roader and more features for off road driving than the vaunted Range Rover. The lexus had the most features that allowed you to do things the range rover could not. I honestly thought it was a very balanced, one of the better reads from MT.

China's Solution to Mass Transit, Drive Over the Cars!
G. David Felt replied to G. David Felt's topic in Industry News
I think it could be made to work, but they would have to bury all the over head power lines, network lines, etc. plus change how things were lit up at night. Just build the tracks into the curbs and you could have something like this. Might need to have it tall enough to allow Semi's and anything under 14 feet tall to go under it. -
Agreed, she is an idiot that wants to blame everyone else and take no responsibility. One that got her 3 min of fame, next! Glad I only lost a few min of my life.
