  1. Hate the white interior, and the moron from Acura must have moved over to Honda with that stupid buck tooth grill chrome crap idea.
  2. Makes one wonder why the OEM does not think about giving their best foot forward in every powertrain version for these loaners. Very weird!
  3. While I was hoping they would push outside their conservative view of auto design, I guess I was hoping for too much as the look does not impress me at all and why drop the already ride height any more. That is just crazy. This will loose sales as people do not like pushing up from the ground to get out of a car nor do they like to drop into the groud to drive or ride. Sad
  4. Awesome, nice update on the car, pics clearly show what you were stating about inside. Interesting. AWD V6 I can clearly seeing in the snow belt as being a valuable option. Wish they would get a V8 option with AWD out.
  5. Yea, they might get sued by Apple for using their i designation!
  6. I understand this but hate it if they did follow that just to be like everyone else. I do think they could have used the e for their pure electric line rather than i. Why not call this model the i-pace and their pure ev e-pace which ties into electricity. Or they could have called it J-Pace for their EV since Joules is a part of the EV culture. I just wish more thought would go into the names.
  7. E-Pace should have been the name for their pure EV solution, otherwise this works!
  8. Pictures do not do it justice, but the 2nd gen Escalade seats are far more holding of the body and comfy than the newest version and they are much flatter than that picture shows. My wife says our escalade seats are like a quality leather chair and you can sit in it for hours and hours. The 2017 escalade loaner I got were hard and flat like plywood. Not a road trip worthy suv.
  9. Interesting!
  10. Yes the Dying Dinosaurs that really need a modern update and most people will not ever own. While I get the nostalgia for the past, leave it there and move forward.
  11. Plenty of stories but in 2015 the US had replaced most of the Coal plants with NG plants which is much more friendly to the planet. http://www.cnbc.com/2015/07/14/natural-gas-tops-coal-as-top-source-of-electric-power-generation-in-us.html https://www.eia.gov/todayinenergy/detail.php?id=25392 Interesting is that the news shows coal being surpassed by NG power plants in 2015 and our own gov being behind the times in data is saying they expect it to happen in 2016 end of year and the link above shows they published their findings in March of 2016. so much for gov accuracy.
  12. Very cool History here of Chrysler corp offices, proving grounds and manufacturing assembly plants around the world. Looks like a plant in China and Dubia were the last ones built in 2011 according to this link. http://www.allpar.com/corporate/factories.html The pictures and history of places are awesome and I learned L.A. used to have a plant till late 70's
  13. Over all it is interesting to see that many rate the A6 very well but then you can easily find a few reports that just destroy the car. It seems if built right, it is a great car, but when they are built as a lemon, they stay a lemon. http://www.consumerreports.org/cars/audi/a6/2017/overview http://www.autoblog.com/buy/2013-Audi-A6/expert-review/ https://www.edmunds.com/audi/a6/2013/safety/ JD Powers seems to give it a solid 3 out of 5 stars. Powertrain and interior is only a 2 so I can see someone going from an Asian auto to this german auto would not be impressed.
  14. http://www.jdpower.com/cars/search/Audi/Audi/Audi/non-awardees-included/any-rating/all-years/all-body-styles/all-msrp-ranges/all-mpg-ranges/ Interesting, some are rated and go back enough years to see the history but most are not and even then the ratings of even the current models leave much to be desired.
  15. Yet sales data actually only shows the S-Class as King of the 100K plus sales tag for auto's as the most popular luxury auto especially in the US is the Pickup Truck priced over $50K with Ford F150 leading the way followed by GM and Ram. More of these Trucks sell above $50K than most of MB auto's. So with that said where is the real Luxury product line? Trucks / SUV!
  16. I like this drawing as a very exciting modern take on an old luxury auto. Yet with that said, the tank like high windows is the one thing I would not like. This is one of my main problems with the Camaro, those high belt lines and little windows.
  17. Seems if you do not get a flatbed to drag up the auto and then haul it away they use those trucks that go in between the front or rear wheels depending on drive train and then pinch the tires and lift. Definitely in changing times, you are so right that these bumper lift tow trucks would rip off the front or rear end of today's auto's with everything plastic being used.
  18. Ouch, Maybe they might not make it after all. I thought they were better funded than this based on what they had released in press releases.
  19. You got my curiosity going and so I checked, 63 new Jeep Patriots in washington state that I could find and all are priced between 32K to 22K. Discounts are not that big but financing is. Maybe they are not hurting that much to move them yet.
  20. I have to disagree with you on this statement as dreams and desires is what should push us to perform better, work harder and achieve what is for most people unachievable. If we always settle for the low end, then why bother having nicer things as we can all settle for government housing, minimal quality of food, etc. I challenge you and everyone here to always push for the best for themselves and their family. Only through Drive of one's own dreams and desires do we make this place a better world.
  21. Kinda like the Jeep hitting the Moose!
  22. GMC Syclone GMC Typhoon Cadillac CT6 Platinum Nissan Skyline R34 Ford GT
  23. Yes, Audi does have those buttons on the steering wheel as to why having them on the center console is no big deal for the basic stuff.
  24. Talk about a nice clean dash. This is awesome.
