That is why I would divorce the wife, let her have everything and then become a ward of the state in my final days of dying. They can live on and I can be cremated and dumped in the hills someplace.

Nissan News: Nissan Plans On Expanding Their NISMO Lineup
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Nissan
Have not been impressed with the whole NISMO thing since they destroyed the skyline and brought the fat pig of a so called version to the states. They lost their lean mojo that made them great. Course could be the gov regulations for all the stupid nanny devices too. -
@Cubical-aka-Moltar So once the pod is lowered, chains off, does the skeleton then move forward to reattach to the truck? Never seen this before so pretty interesting what engineers came up with.

Honda News: Honda's Civic Type R Could Be Boasting A CVT (UPDATE)
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Honda
I would be more happy if they would actually have some style and not be an anime image of Puke- 13 replies

VW News: Brand New 2015 Volkswagen TDI Models Back On Sale
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Volkswagen
Interesting, yea I would agree that if an auto has 100K miles on it and needs more than a software flash upgrade, it is not worth it so recycle the auto. -
Honda News: Honda's Civic Type R Could Be Boasting A CVT (UPDATE)
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Honda
Seems Honda Crushed the VW Golf GTI Clubsport S for the best track time at Nurburg ring. 7 min and 43.8 seconds and only 3 seconds shy of the 2012 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1's record. Impressive and you know the ricers are going to go crazy for the Type R. http://www.autoblog.com/2017/04/24/2018-honda-civic-type-r-sets-nurburgring-record/ In watching the video multiple times, I realize the Street legal tires they used sure screeched allot and clearly gave up some sticky control. Makes one wonder how fast they would have gone if they used true racing tires?- 13 replies

I get the old Manuals, I grew up learning to drive in the mid 70's on a 3 on the tree and those you had to listen to the RPMs and had specific shift points. Later on, once you did have a proper experience in shifting, you could do it clutch free as you speed shift at just the right upper RPM going through the gears. I made sure both my kids knew how to drive manuals so they could drive anything. Now it is no big deal or needed.

VW News: Brand New 2015 Volkswagen TDI Models Back On Sale
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Volkswagen
Ya mean they actually crushed them? Wonder if they were models that could not be fixed cheaply. -
I agree that there seems to be some funny math or they are not clearly stating what the positive or negative number means. I was wondering if maybe from 2013 to 2014 the Suburban dropped and then the top 4 staid static but that does not seem to work either since they say it dropped 2. My take away is that trucks and suv's seem to last.

I loved the way a Manual Corvette shifted, I have to disagree with his comment on the rough bad manuals out of America.

Agree, I know Brazil, but not sure of anything else in South America or central America besides Mexico. @Drew Dowdell Do you know if GM has any other manufacturing besides what has been mentioned and if it is affected by Venezuela? I have not found anything but then I could be missing it in my bing search.

Totally agree with what is stated here, I suspect manual will be gone in 5 years from most markets if not all. After market will be the source of parts but most just want to shift and go even in performance.

Not one sided but the study of society in general has shown that humans when they get a positive care less about why they got it than when they get a negative. This is very understandable, with that stated it also goes hand in hand with people being able to accept the negative when they understand why it was given even if they disagree with the negative. Humans for the most part have always behaved this way. Very clearly it is a part of the psychology of our mind. Call it one sided, but if you review human history, you see this pattern over and over.

It is slowly going down! @FordCosworth I understand your point your stating as I also do not get upset by a red arrow. I do like to know why someone thought to downvote me but to each their own. Not gonna worry about it and just move on. My Wine Glass is Half Full!
