  1. Reminds me of your Shocking Personality!
  2. Chryslers last Hurrah? Hellcat 300? Autoblog, a news source you can love and hate and question, but is this late breaking story valid? Does it have teeth? Autoblog is reporting a possible Hellcat 300 might be in the works. Based on the pictures, I would say it is hard to say other than this has that traditional 3-4 inches of tire sticking out, brembo breaks so it might be true but then where the pictures are taken makes one wonder if this is just a personal pet project. http://www.autoblog.com/2017/05/18/chrysler-may-be-testing-a-hellcat-300/?hcid=hp-tile-small-4 So what are your thoughts? Is chrysler going out with a big bang?
  3. So your saying take this concept and turn it into a CUV AWD auto?
  4. This is not a surprise as in India the local auto companies are subsidized heavily by the Indian Gov. This always makes it hard for an external company to compete. Plus GM has never really had subcompact featured cars that could be sold in a cheap market. Africa is a nightmare that I agree on totally to pull out of. Smart, let Isuzu have the market.
  5. You might not be real, but I am! JK In other news, seems the testers exposed their Dash! http://www.trucktrend.com/future-trucks/1705-2019-chevrolet-silverado-1500-interior-spied/ Flashing by GM, will it never end?
  6. @oldshurst442 I am surprised that the funeral business only uses car based hursts. Yet then I search and find out that there is a company building them off SUV's. OK, I now will say officially the XTS needs to die. This is a far better last ride machine! Imagine this as the new Ghost Busters Ride!
  7. With BMW auto's turning into fire storms and burning peoples houses down, I do not see a bright future over the near term for them. I suspect now that many countries are looking into this self burning of the auto's, BMW is going to have to deal with an ugly short term mess.
  8. Spontaneous BMW Combustion and BMW is ignoring it kinda! Came across this story and wow, is this weird. Yup we have heard stories of Humans who spontaneously combust, but BMW? Owners are saying it and some are even being paid to keep quiet according to this ABC story I came across. http://abcnews.go.com/Business/bmw-mystery-fires-abc-news-investigation/story?id=47335778 Seems these fires have happened from sitting for days or just being turned off, but something is causing these German Driving Machines to spontaneously combust. Makes you wonder if this could be BMW's version of GM's Ignition scandal, VW diesel gate or Takata airbags?
  9. BOLT Ad and Deals Seems California is not the only place that has gone over on big deals. Based on looking up this dealership, Maryland has starting July 1st. a $3,000 credit that can be applied at time of purchase to reduce the cost of the EV along with the feds $7,500 benefit. Not so sure about the special effects though!
  10. GM States Desire to be First to Profit from Mass Selling EVs. http://www.greencarreports.com/news/1110469_gm-goal-profitable-affordable-electric-cars-built-in-big-numbers Seems GM is focusing on lower the cost of the batteries sooner rather than later and to turn a profit from EVs. This brings up the question: With China pushing for such high numbers of EV to be sold in that country, could we see a faster decline of ICE auto's and a rapid rise of EVs?
  11. According to the web site Motor authority, Karma has shipped their first new cars off the assembly line to their 8 dealers. Auto starts at $130,000 and goes up for a plug in hybrid that has 50 miles pure electric and a turbo 4 banger generator for a total range of 300 miles. http://www.motorauthority.com/news/1096957_2017-karma-revero-starts-delivery
  12. Very cool, to read this on the MB EV concept auto. http://www.greencarreports.com/news/1110498_british-magazine-gets-ride-in-all-electric-mercedes-eq-concept Clearly a very different way to drive and how to send power to just front or just rear wheels.
  13. I can honestly say that my own parents who are baby boomers do not like the CT6 but love the XTS. With that said, yes you might have 10% of the XTS sales cannibalizing CT6 sales but not much more if that. Looking at both side by side and sitting in them, clearly two different beasts and appealing to two different customers. Ride alone is where you divide the type of customer and this is very much age driven.
  14. Understandable and expected. I really wonder just how many they will actually build. Yes we have heard the comments from them, but will people actually buy it in the numbers they think? This is going to be very interesting to see what happens, I am more interested in seeing where the first one is totaled. Which state will have the first totaled Demon?
  15. So very true for the GM trucks, Ford is better now that they have gotten them a bit more quiet, RAM is just noisy with no real tuned exhaust note. I doubt @balthazar would get rid of his diesel. He uses it way too much.
  16. Just based on these 3 pics, I would take the Vantage over the Italian mess.
  17. @oldshurst442 I get you do not like it, but the baby boomers love it and as long as we have millions buying them here and the Chinese who love their versions as personal limos it makes good sense to tweak and continue to build it. In fact I can see the XTS being moved to the classic form and still being built especially for the Limo, Livery and private auto chauffeur business at the airports past 2020. I agree with many that it is a relic of the past GM, but does make money, has a clear market that wants it and no reason to kill it. Why kill a money maker just because. Kinda like the stupid decision to kill the Avalanche / Escalade Ext.
  18. I would have to agree with you, I have rarely seen the diesel trucks get above EPA MPG. I think this is mostly a car thing.
  19. I think depending on where you live you have two types of users. The look at me soccer mom where the luxury suv never goes off road or rarely gets messed up and those that want the luxury but do use them in the mountains. I see plenty of the luxury suv at the ski resorts during winter but more so during summer off road on the logging roads out camping. Weird? Yes but true for washington state. So many tree huggers want their luxury and be out in the wilds.
  20. I think allot of their previous customers are wanting SUV/CUVs now and if they want to hold onto them, they have to deliver what the customer wants. Cars are out of fashion as the hot trend is SUV/CUV crazyness. Not because they really need it.
  21. So Uranus is finally getting built. Just a car on steroids to be a CUV. I wonder how it will really stand up to the world wide competition especially when they have been building them for so much longer.
  22. I can understand that and respect it. For me, I got my Escalade ESV Platinum edition as it did not seem that much more than a fully loaded Yukon XL Denali edition plus I liked the style and the few features better than the Yukon. With that said, I can also agree with you on the SS over the ATS. I would take one too if I could not afford a CTS-V edition.
  23. And yet myself and @Cmicasa the Great who have put our money where our mouth is do not seem to have the problems so many of you state CUE has. So is this just repeating what other magazines are stating due to a lack of familiarity with the system or what?
