  1. Very cool to see the F-Pace doing so well. I wish it was big enough to hold me and passengers. I am excited for them to get their EV version here. Anyone know if Land Rover is still using Ford engines or did they move to producing their own finally?
  2. I really wonder how stand alone Mitsubishi dealers survive on such little sales.
  3. Drew stated in this thread: That the XTS was scheduled to still be built threw 2020 mainly for the Chinese market. I know and I think it was Drew also that had brought up or talked about the union contracts that would keep this in production, but I cannot find that thread. Or at least I think it was Drew who had brought that up.
  4. Keep in mind that they have union contracts through I think it was 2020 when the XTS car is killed off. So they have to honor that little bit of work. Plus you have baby boomers that find the CTS much too hard of a car to rid in. My own baby boomer parents always tell me they see no reason for the CTS. Every time they get one as a loaner, they park it in their garage and drive their other Cadillac as the CTS is not a float mobile of the older cadillacs. Different expectations from a different life time. XTS has it's place and since there is very little R&D cost, it is a pure money maker for GM as it serves well the homeowners market as well as the private limo car business and funeral business. I do agree with you that I would like to see it retired to history and move the funeral and limo business to Escalades and CT6's.
  5. Shows us how many Lemmings are out in Society as willing sheeple.
  6. As long as they keep improving the interior and adding content to make it a value, the cars are solid enough to keep going on their own till either a replacement does happen or the brand is killed off by the Italian mob boss Sergio. Solid impressive numbers from Jeep, then Ram and finally Dodge. Chrysler is going to look very sad once they sell off all the 200's and only have the 300 and minivan to sell. Yet with that said, Alfa is a joke and should have just been left in the history books. pathetic.
  7. Not bad, I do wonder what is going on at Chevy and GMC. But overall not bad considering that auto sales are on the decline right now. GM just laid off half of the 5000 peeps at the transmission assembly plant due to weak sales according to the news this morning. At least GM is down to 94 days selling compared to the triple digits they had towards the end of last year.
  8. Sales consolidation is on. Without FORDs trucks and SUVs, this would have been an ugly double digit percentage contraction.
  9. @Cmicasa the Great I agree that Cadillac probably could make a better CLA or X1 fighter. In reality, I hope they never do as Cadillac just needs to focus on Luxury and ignor the badge wanna be snobs that are too cheap or cannot really afford to buy a Cadillac. Let's face it, MB and BMW have used cheap leases to grow their market share and quality has suffered on top of the entering Toyota / Cheverolet territory with their badge and not being good at it. This will come back to haunt them I think.
  10. RIGHT! This is the new Trans Am of the 21 century of goddiness overkill. Sadly with non of the real V8 power Pizzas in a sardine can that is actually ugly.
  11. The tires makes ya wonder how fast the first pair will wear out. I bet most get only 5-6K miles on the tires before your having to spend $1,200 on a new set. 20" rims do not have many options for this car. Expensive no matter how you look at it.
  12. Seeing the picture of this, it is really ugly from the back end and especially the stupid 3 exhuast pipe with one being smaller than the others is just weird. The back end just looked hacked up. Interesting statement about this being performance and that the tires will wear lasting 10,000 miles or less. Also the statement to put on winter tires. This is going to be interesting to see how many get crashed by kids thinking they can be speed racer.
  13. You must be pretty thin as a husky person or muscular person such as me and my family had a CX-9 latest over xmas for our 25 wedding anniversary on the Big Island and it left much to be desired. Tight, poor ergonomics and the terrible dragon body design has a small opening at the top of the front doors, so very hard to get in and out of. Front passenger seat was uncomfortable and not able to be adjusted as much as the driver seat. Even my kids and wife all in the 5' 8" size thought the Mazda could have been much better on the interior especially but ease of getting in and out. Worse yet is for the 4 banger engine, gas mileage was not impressive and makes one question why even bother. Many better CUV's with better engines than the CX-9.
  14. Mazda's are great if your in the 5'8" club ad not much taller or bigger. Good auto's built for small to medium people. Interiors need work even the latest version, but over all decent reliable auto's.
  15. Me think Volvo wants their own V, M, AMG edition fighter. Interesting times we live in.
  16. Sad state of affairs but true that so many are badge snobs but then I am sure we have that on Cadillac too. Even with the official state auto being MB, they are still also a Chevrolet / Toyota equal auto company.
  17. Awesome, way to go, very happy for you guys and when your ready to move up, I am sure the Encore or maybe even the Envision will be a perfect fit for you.
  18. Kinda how MB has become the Toyota / Chevrolet of Europe and the world. No thanks, Cadillac has embraced their history in many ways in their current auto's and SUVs/CUVs. I suspect we will have a true telling by 2020 of Cadillac as it become a true luxury only auto maker and not Uber Luxury to cheap ass econo box auto that MB has become today along with semi's way too many taxis and so much more.
  19. Very Cool, awesome update. Wish GM would be faster to roll out this to all product lines now. I do wonder why the cars all get it for 2018, but not the Escalade or the CUVs. Guess 2019 for them.
  20. GM woke up to the real fact that as long as the Unions have the GOV in their pocket and are protected, they will not make money and it is the ultimate money pit. Time to cut losses and walk away. There is a reason why the asian brands never bought mainland European car companies. They knew better than to get connected with that union mess. As I said, if GM cannot unload Opel, then just shut it down and kill it. Best way to go.
  21. LOL, Mob Mobile over the Blah German strudel any day!
  22. Very Cool, I will say in the early days of my marriage 26 years ago, the wife was like you guys all about the car, snug in the low bucket seats. Now you cannot get her out of an SUV/CUV. Why? The high seating position, better road view of what is coming towards you and the bigger interior space. GM makes their CUV/SUVs drive like cars and better. I would say go back and redrive both again in the same order and she will probably clearly come away with the auto she wants to spend 30 miles each way in on her daily commute plus use for the rest of her drives. Both are awesome auto's, but Buick has truly built an exceptional CUV. Nice write up, looking forward to hearing what you guys decide on.
  23. Square up that nose to respect the original Cherokee and how awesome they were.
  24. From the album: Felt Family RIdes

Broke the 100,000 miles on this little pocket rocket and it still drive hard. with all the maintenance and 100K service done. The car drives like new. Not a dent, ding or scratch on it. Overall, a keeper for the long haul.
  25. While Audi has had some interesting rides, I have never had the passion of WOW, I want one to drive. I would take between the two you posted the high mileage SRT8 since I can work on it myself when things start going south. Like Cubical, I would rather have a couple years old model of the SRT8.
