  1. @A Horse With No Name OK guys, just checked the web site, the following models allow the Rhino color: Trailhawk Altitude SRT Those are the only 3 trim levels you can get Rhino in according to their web site. Cubical is correct, there are allot of colors, but only available at certain trim levels. Overland and Summit have much more than the others but no Rhino. Interesting.
  2. Really? WOW, that is interesting to know, the Rhino color of being blue/grey/black just really strikes a nice look. Alex being a graphic designer always had black on black auto's but really liked the contrast of this color and changed his mind at the last minute when he test drove it on a sunny day. Just rocks.
  3. Have to say that I really like the Rhino Color with Black rims that my son bought. Nice Contrast Rhino with Black accent.
  4. Agree, makes no sense to bring this over especially when doing so with an EV model makes more sense.
  5. Yup, Has the Darth Vader thing going on! Course would take this too!
  6. True, a winch would destroy the looks of the Escalade, but I would still take it off road and risk the sheetmetal for going places in comfort.
  7. So wear a Michigan shirt that says "Sucky my frosty Blue Balls OSU!"
  8. @A Horse With No Name @Cubical-aka-Moltar Guys ya gotta admit this is a bad ass looking SUV. Monochromatic makes this nice looking. They went back to the first generation Durango and recaptured the essence.
  9. Totally agree with this and Washington state you see the luxury SUVs all the time out in the woods / mountains.
  10. All achieved by increasing cheap Leases. Most of the gains are people that could not truly afford a Benz auto. Eventually this will cost them and hurt them more than help. Get ready for a glut of depressed prices once all the lease auto's come back in. The last few years MB has grown market share due to the reduced cost of leases that allowed people who would normally not be able to afford them drive one. Be interesting to see the condition they come back in.
  11. Local News is reminding people if your CUV/SUV is not properly outfitted, do not go off road or onto the state beaches. You will have an expensive cost to recover stuck auto's especially on the beach like this one.
  12. Guess I live in a very different market place as X3's tend to be out and about along with the X5 in the woods and get stuck more than I would have thought around washington.
  13. So few will be sold as it will essentially be another Halo auto in the multitude of Halo auto's mostly owned by the Arab rim. Bigger discussion is the false assumption by Benz that having Cheap auto's that compete against Ford, Chevrolet, Toyota will give future sales of upgrading to more expensive auto's down the road. Marketing has proven this to be a lie. Many people do not move up from Economy class to mid class to luxury class in the same family of auto's. This is why we have clear Luxury product lines. Down the road in 3-5 years I actually expect these low cost Eco box's from Benz to HURT their Luxury level here in the states.
  14. Yup that might be in your area, but here in washington it is amazing how many think their BMW CUV can take on a jeep and go anywhere off road. I see plenty getting pulled out by Jeeps, Fords and GM 4x4's. It really is pretty funny.
  15. I understand and have thought on this. 1) Seats do need a major change. My 2006 Escalade is far more comfortable than the current 2017 Escalade. Not sure why Cadillac seems to think that flat seats are comfortable seats. They can leave the seat belts on the B pillar for the Suburban and Yukon but I like them built into the seats for Cadillac. This is the only thing I would agree on with CR about. 2006 Seats 2017 Seats I think from a luxury stand point, the quality of build is there and they do need to get this message out. Quality built, but they also need to market this in a much better way than their current you tube social media advertising. The lack of seeing Cadillac on the TV, as well as on shows is pathetic. I see more MB and BMW commercials than Cadillac. Right now, Cadillac is not winning by staying silent. I also think they need to have commercials showing the fun you can have in an Escalade. Road Trips, Skiing, Beach, Boating, etc. The Escalade is more than just a badge of wealth you drive it back and forth to Work and to expensive restaurants. They need to show that the SUV can handle the special night out as well as Life in general in a luxury way. MARKETING - Pure and SImple, their marketing sucks and needs to be corrected.
  16. On paper they sure like to state the we are a driving machine, but in reality I have yet to see their CUV's actually be able to handle much more than a dirt road with rounded mounds of rock like in the picture that SMK points out. Lets take this out on the Rubicon trail and see how it really handles or any other trail system. I wonder how it would do with the so called Trail Rated system Jeep uses to test their CUVs?
  17. That is just stupid as I have not had any of that with my Escalade. Some real Biased Idiots work at Consumer Reports. I stopped using them back in the 90's. Sadly too many Lemmings are still wanting to be told what to buy, what to eat, what to drink and buy into this BS. Sad.
  18. Totally agree, I think GM could bank many sales if they build a EV Roadster. Tesla says their Roadster 2.0 is on the drawing boards for 2019 or 2020 release. I think GM could easily take the BOLT Powertrain and build a Roadster that would just as is give 300 Mile range due to being lighter and grab a bunch of business. Back on Topic, I like the CT6 face on the New XTS. What I would love to see is Cadillac surprise everyone by putting the BOLT powertrain into the ATS and the XT-3.
  19. I have talked with so many coworkers and friends that have MB or BMW's and have gone to the other brand and not come back. Recently Cadillac is winning MB and BMW owners as I am seeing more new Cadillacs in the parking garage downstairs. I really challenge the thinking that those that buy the cheap Chevy / Toyota versions of MB will come back for a higher level trim version. I see this being like 1% at best. I believe MB is watering down their image that they built here in the US. As such, it will come back to bite them as consumers find better products with better value from other vendors.
  20. So very true, Neighbor bought a new Volt 4 months back and was told he would need to gas up once a month at most by the dealer. He just filled up his first tank after 4 months. Says he loves it. Asked him why not the Bolt? Says his wife did not like the style compared to the VOLT. Says if the BOLT powertrain was in the VOLT, they would have bought it.
  21. Solid performance auto, but for more get the V type version at Genesis. Got it, makes sense.
  22. Very Cool, nice write up and the car looks good. Yes the last of the big bruisers that still rolls the highway. If I was in the market for a full size car this would be on the short list. Hope FCA does not kill the 300, but at the same time I wonder if it will still be around past 2025?
  23. Honda is one of the OEMs that is stuck in the past by about 20+ years. Sad in this day that a company with so many solid products is light years behind the competition.
