  1. Have you even got your butt in the seat of one? They are way over rated. Once in the car you can see just how cheap a car FCA built. Sorry but now it is not that good of a car and I have been in them.
  2. Love the R33 & R34 Skyline. Love some of the classic Japanese cars. These two just are blah. But you are right I do love the mid 80's Monte Carlo and Buick National. Older 50's and 60's are a hit and miss with me. Depends on the little details that make me love the car or not. These two are just Blah to me. in the same way I find the K-cars blah.
  3. On topic for this New Awesome Regal GS with the V6 and yes while I am not thrilled with the low torque, for the $10K savings over say an MB CLA that has less hp and torque, there are plenty of very cool performance add on's. I see you can already get performance tuned chips from GM and a host of 3rd party players that will clearly up the level that this car puts out putting it very close to the CLA AMG version which is $30K higher and still save you $20K plus. This is an awesome car that can be made into an ultimate sleeper. Very exciting indeed.
  4. Just accept the clear fact that you have issue with this as it is priced competitively against your MB products and give more bang for the buck! People all over are seeing that German brands are failing to live up to the hype and moving goal posts. American is bringing their A game to compete and doing it better than MB.
  5. OUCH, I would not touch that as it is ready for big time expense replacement parts. After all just a headlight assembly is $5K. Crazy
  6. Cool, Like what I read, wonder about the story of there being a Hybrid or EV version. Be interesting to see if that is being considered or not still. Very good news.
  7. Disagree, In a 25 mile radius I found the following: Autotrader.com for washington, big tech state with lots of cash shows that the CLA family for a 2 year old model with mid 20K miles sells for half the price brand new. I do not see how that is holding value when 2 years and 50% drop in value. Total CLA 4matic's available for sale = 30 Autotrader.com for the Buick shows a fraction of the GS on the used car lots, those that are 2yrs old are in the high teens to low 20's for miles and selling for the same half price of when it was new. GS AWD available for sale same 25 mile radius = 4 Expand it out to 50 miles and you have 52 available: MB = 43 Buick = 9 Expand to 100 miles radius and you have 60 available: MB = 51 Buick = 9 Both models seem to stay low miles, both are selling at 50% off new prices when originally sold. So tell me how the Regal DOES NOT hold value? Seems to me that the Regal is holding fine as most auto's after a couple years are loosing half their value. So the Best or Nothing Ultimate luxury auto line is loosing 50% value like everyone else after 2 years. Might as well buy certified used compared to new.
  8. One of my wife's friends finally came and visited us, Amazing she still owns her Z28 that she bought brand new. A one car owner! Even has T-Tops. Fully loaded. Pretty cool, I forgot just how low one sits to the ground in it. She just had the carburetor rebuilt. Gets up and hauls ass! America still builds auto's that last as long as you do the 30K mile services.
  9. Been saying it since day one, that a Volt Powertrain CUV would do much better than a 4 door car. The rest are pretty much understandable.
  10. So you're saying that a V6 powered auto with more horsepower and torque at $40K is not worth it compared to the same CLA version that is a Turbo 4 banger only with less horsepower and torque but $10K higher priced! Yet for only a Turbo 4 banger you have to spend $50,000 plus in your CLA 4matic to get the performance version versus $40,000 for a Buick Regal with V6. Comparing interior to interior, Buick is way nicer looking, but that is subjective which I acknowledge. Exterior, they both are a rather bland coupe design. Turbo 4 banger with 208 HP @ 5,500 rpm, 258 Lb-ft of torque at 1,250 rpm Buick V6 2 310hp & 282 lb-ft
  11. Agree, looks of the Maxima and Q50 are very polarizing. Love / Hate auto's. Course both cars are tight on room for me, so personal body size makes a difference.
  12. Two side to this, those that have bought plugin hybrids know what they are getting into and having no problem plugging them in. The issue is with loaner programs. BMW's loaner program in Seattle with i3's is terrible as the people using them do not park them into the designated spaces around the city and seem to never plug them in. This makes me think not only lazy but of the attitude that someone else will plug it in. As such, most the the i3 have been dead when another person goes to use it and so BMW now has a group of people driving around in i3 service auto's making sure the fleet is charged and ready for use. This is where Nissan's presentation on wireless charging would make sense. Just pull the auto back into it's designated parking place that has the charger in the ground and will wirelessly charge the auto backup. Wonder how long before BMW does this as a service fleet is expensive to have on a car sharing program.
  13. Like GM, they will support them as long as they have parts and then leave it to the 3rd party companies to support it, but remember, Porsche used the same motors as Audi and VW, so parts and support will not be a problem for a long time.
  14. Ouch Poor Corvette in an SUV disguise!
  15. Every little bit will also hurt as that is a potential 17K of sales that could go elsewhere. Interesting
  16. EDUCATION! FCA is not clearly telling the story so to many idiots are thinking ev even though it says Hybrid. Dummies
  17. Pass, no need for the Diesel, plenty of better options exist. Time to put down the heavy dirty fuel and move forward with greener technology.
  18. Simple, 17 car brands are rated better than MB in 2017, 15 brands rated better in 2016, 14 brands rated better in 2015, 13 rated better in 2014, 11 rated better in 2013, 8 rated better in 2012. I could go on but as one can see, in just the last 5 years MB quality is not #1. Just in case you think I am making this up, here are the last 5 years posted by J. D. Powers IQS. Clearly MB is following the same path as Cadillac in the 80's of going down hill every year and getting worse and worse. So many better products out there than MB. Clearly MB is hitting their sales climax and decline is around the corner. I fully expect some mags will praise this wanna be truck but hopefully many will see just how pathetic and cheap of a job MB did on this pickup.
  19. So your saying at 40K plus options you wonder if this is a 50K car and that the engine, awd and handling is nothing special?
  20. No, MB is LOOSING at the Luxury game and only has the Profits due to the whoring out of the E class as the taxi of Europe. MB is now just another Toyota, Ford, etc. Taking your stance, FORD is the Leader of the world due to their Truck sales numbers. So MB clearly is afraid to try and compete unlike GM. Instead MB makes garbage CLA/GLA auto's and sells the most expensive S Class sedan per your words but with heavy discounts. So one has to question how much of a luxury auto maker is MB when they have to rely so heavily on the lower end market, commercial trucks, buses and vans?
  21. Cool Wonder if I will see them on the pass with ski racks. Buick becomes GM's version of Subaru?
  22. About time GM got with Brembo for use in more applications. Looks like a dual piston brake. Nice!
