  1. @oldshurst442 I would also add the Laughing reaction on top of my up vote as your response is spot on and way too funny!
  2. I can totally agree with the thinking of questioning if the current type of Auto show is worth the money spent by the manufactures.
  3. That is interesting, when I first looked at the pictures, all I see is a rebadge of a Miata. That my friend is a Jeep SRT or Trackhawk!
  4. Meh, Pass Yes there will be a market for this car, minor, very little, but a market nonetheless. What I see is aging X & Y generation types trying to hold onto their youth as it slips between their fingers.
  5. Had to hide those dismal EV / hybrid sales from the Bean Counters!
  6. Very interesting, but I feel the Hydrogen thing is just too little too late. EV will surpass Hydrogen. About time they got going on the EV bandwagon.
  7. Seems Nissan is in full press mode to get Leaf 2.0 out to the world and into the hands of US customers sooner rather than later. Nissan is now going to do a Tokyo press release of Leaf 2.0 for the world September 5th and the Leaf 2.0 will show up according to Nissan at multiple EV events around the US shortly after that with the car going on sale sooner rather than a Q4 2017 time frame as has been stated in the past. Gonna try to get to Denny Park on Sept 9th to capture some pictures and get an initial take on the car. Nissan already announced that they plan to bring the vehicles to dealerships in the US soon after, but they also announced today appearances at National Drive Electric Week events: Sept. 9 Seattle, Washington | Denny Park | 9 a.m.-2 p.m. San Diego, California | Qualcomm Stadium | 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Alpharetta, Georgia | Avalon | 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Sept. 14 Bridgewater, New Jersey | Bridgewater Municipal Building Car Park | 6 p.m.-9 p.m. Sept. 16 Portland, Oregon | Washington Square | 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Los Angeles, California | Los Angeles State Historic Park | 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Cupertino, California | DeAnza College | 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Cambridge, Massachusetts | Danehy Park | 11 a.m.-4 p.m.
  8. G. David Felt - Staff Writer Alternative Energy - www.cheersandgears.com Henrik Fisker to Debut Emotion in August Henrik Fisker first go at EV's ended up bankrupt and sold to a Chinese company and yet this has not stopped this man from bringing a much more delightful car to the upper wealthy folks in the form of the all new EMotion AWD EV 4 door sedan. Henrik Fisker originally started out from his own .org web site with drawings and info on how he would make a better EV. You can read the story and get plenty of facts at his initial web site here: http://henrikfisker.org/ Hi Timeline and the auto's that have inspired him is worth looking at. You truly get where he pulled in design language from in the auto's he has driven. Products section shows you just how wide a design effect he has by seeing his cloths, sketchbook, boats, bikes, watches and furniture. They have all played a role in the design of the Emotion. Fisker has not only played in the EV market as in 2016 he brought to market the bloody fast high performance V10 powered Force 1 V10 car. A street legal race car designed with race car driver Ben Keating. Fisker is now fully focused on his biggest love the extremely quick EV AWD sedan. Fisker according to various news outlets that cover EV news is supposed to release more details on the EMotion in August this month. Here is what we do know about the lovely EMotion: 800 Volt Electrical System 125 miles of range per 9 minutes of charging 145 kWh battery pack - 400+ miles on a charge built by LG Chem Korea LIDAR full autonomy Fully connected data network All Wheel Drive Solar Panel Roof - allowing recharging, but mostly for running accessories when parked such as AC Gullwing inspired access for front and rear doors Hybrid Shop nationwide network - Press Release Priced from $129,900 not including options - Reservations being taken now, $2,000. For more information contact Fisker Henrik Fisker, Founder and CEO tag “HELPING SAVE THE PLANET CAN BE BOTH EXCITING AND BEAUTIFUL” FISKER
  9. Simple, FCA US is what is up for sale after being raped and all profits stolen by FCA Italy. China can gain a complete network of dealerships to get their cheap Cherry auto's into the states.
  10. Be interesting to see how many lawsuits they get hit with on product built on this super short design cycle.
  11. Yes, Yes they do from those fuzzy things called balls to the ground. So 30x30 we could call you Orbicular or Cubicular then. jk
  12. WOW Lovely Bullshit of what you imagine AMG will build but has not done so to date. Plus, you must have taken extra crack since you are now again with moving goal posts comparing AMG to the whole ATS / CTS line. Apples to Oranges or in your case, Germain to American. So other than MB showing how many Badge Snob Idiots buy their products lets look at the facts of their auto's: Rear leg room between ATS and it's equal german counterpart? Same! Will not waste time listing so many more examples since we all have seen how you will move the goal post and flip to something else to play the do not look in my failed left hand, look at the shiny new bauble in my right hand. If I did not know better, you have really taken after all the idiots in DC and around the country that has massive eclipse blinders on.
  13. I totally get what you say Balthazar, I cannot see MB giving up totally on ICE as there are too many markets that will have zero EV infrastructure and even though some gov's have set the line in the sand for the death of ICE, I bet it will get moved. At least many companies are now moving forward and it will be interesting to see how they compete especially with Tesla.
  14. @oldshurst442 @balthazar Yea, it is a European love fest, but I posted it to see what others thought before I stated that. Shame only a few Domestic auto's made the list.
  15. Good Chinese Double Speak. We not interested, but in reality, if we can push the price down, we buy! If you have ever been to China, they haggle like crazy and never take first, second or third offer.
  16. Looks like an intercooler in the pics for the turbo system. Exhaust is a joke as you can clearly see they increased the size of the exhaust tips but the pipes are small. Talk about blind spots on those rear quarter panels. Over all Meh, to this updated version. Probably still tiny inside too.
  17. Most Beautiful Cars List: Have to say about 25% I disagree with but the rest are right on! http://www.msn.com/en-us/autos/enthusiasts/revealed-the-worlds-most-beautiful-cars/ss-AAppoCX?li=BBnb7Kz#image=1
  18. Agree, I can see a new Chinese owner dumping everything and moving to their own unified platforms. Especially with a focus on Hybrid and EV's. This implies to me that the Big Hemi's are in their last Hurrah!
  19. Yet per their own announcement, MB only gets 7 auto's as Smart is to get 3 EV auto's.
  20. WOW, about time, not everyone wants a loaded Tahoe. They should have had this from the start. This also makes me think that GM is finally realizing that they have hit a top end in pricing and are going to lose customers like everyone if they do not offer lower priced options.
  21. Got it, I am the opposite, 40" inseam. So long legs.
