But But The online pictures show Florida is covered in Ice!

After looking at the Autocar story, clearly hinges are still exposed, zooming into the pictures, you can see the external screws that are on the existing on sale version are gone. Internal is the biggest update as the external is just a refresh to me. Is it worth 6 figures? Yes to some, no to others. price wise it exceeds Escalade which does tell me Cadillac needs a V Sport and V edition of the Escalade. Off road capability, no, leave it to have an equal off road version in GMC as a Yukon Denali, Hummer like edition. Will have to see in person if this would be of internal space to me to be in any consideration. External, is does nothing for me, just an overpriced bread box still.

Cheers for the EV movement of 2017!

Surprised at the low sales numbers, just 352,790 sold for 2017. I actually thought their sales numbers were much higher. Surprised by the low CUV numbers.

December 2017: Subaru of America
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Sales Figure Ticker
For such a small portfolio, some damn solid numbers. One does have to wonder how long the BRZ will stick around with such low numbers. Probably as long as Toyota builds a version, then Subaru will badge engineer it.- 4 replies

December 2017: Mercedes-Benz USA
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Sales Figure Ticker
OMG They need to slash car models right now, so many double digit negatives, They could save a ton on R&D by cutting the low sale models. Kill off the following and that would give them mega bucks for their EV line. Smart G-Class AMG GT SL SLC S-Class B-Class That would allow them to increase funding for the EV-Class. After all business sense would say, if you cannot at least sell 25,000 of a model per year, why bother.- 6 replies

2018 is an exciting year as we see what EV concepts are shown as well as the move by all companies to embrace more CUV / trucks as they reduce the car thing, so much excitement, so little time to enjoy it all.

December 2017: General Motors Co.
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Sales Figure Ticker
Based on all your post, that is where every auto company should be cause everyone wants a CUV or truck. Honestly, I would rather see it 60/40 between CUV & Trucks / Cars. Still good for GM to have the products consumers want. One has to hope that when the and if the change comes back to majority cars, that GM responds fast. Will be interesting to see what changes if any come to the Bolt.- 48 replies

Fiat and Alfa bring nothing to the party but bleeding money for which the ignored American brands are expected to make up. One has to wonder how long FCA can continue on this pathetic path of CEO stupidity.

OUCH, if not for the explorer 33% increase, Ford would be massive negative. Brutal 34.1% drop in Continental sales.- 13 replies

Jeep News: Spying: Jeep Yuntu Three-Row Crossover is Caught
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Jeep
Totally have to agree with you, especially after looking at the pictures, this does seem to be a stretched version of the Cherokee. I would expect much more for a Grand Wagoneer. At least built off GC / Durango platform or a full size Ram platform.- 11 replies

I think at this point they are investing all their money into the coupe only and the new CT version since that is what they seem to imply will be the future.- 23 replies

Saw a New NV2000 Nissan van that had already been hit in the back. Pathetic as it did not even have it's license plate yet, only the temp paper one in the rear window.

Ram News: Spying: 2019 Ram 1500's Face Peeks Out
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Ram
I have to say I have mixed feeling about the new front end as I think they took away the love it or hate it look for a more streamlined aerodynamic gas saving look. Almost jelly bean style that I really do not like. I see autoblog has a video of someone using magnets on the sides, hood, etc. No magnetism at all so they either have gone fully aluminum on the bed, body panels, hood, doors, etc. or some form of carbon fiber as there seems to be no steel in that 2019 truck. Gonna be interesting to see what they show off and reveal about the powertrain at the Detroit show. -
Auto Gauges, Manual, Digital, Are They Even Needed? Ran into a debate that was in multiple forums and even on Jalopnik that had editors and forum members debating the need of Auto Gauges and the type. Manual, Digital, Monitor screen, touch, etc. As such, what are your thoughts on the type of dash info you feel 21st century auto's should have?

Audi News: Audi To Make Future Models Look Different

Mercedes-Benz, are you listening , we the people HATE cookie cutter one size fits all design. Time to retire the pathetic design language and give each auto it's own personality. -
Electra Maccanica, can it do what Elio Motors has failed to do? In 2009 Elio Motors was founded with a idea to build a high mileage commuter auto-bike. This three wheeled auto-bike or trike as we call them was to be enclosed like a car, capable of carrying 2 people and a small amount of cargo and get 84 miles per gallon of gas all for $6,800 in the beginning and now asking $7,500. This during a crunch of high gas costs sent thousands to reserve and put a deposit down for one. Yet here we are 9 years later and still no delivery of the auto even though they run their website, have demo units across the country and collect reservations with a promise now of starting to build in 2018. In steps a Vancouver B.C. startup that has amassed an undisclosed amount of start up cash, has $4 Billion in orders, signed a assembly contract with a Chinese company and says building will begin Q1 of 2018 with first deliveries in 2019 of their 3 wheel EV version. 100 mile range, single person ultimate commuter auto. The Solo is designed to be the smallest and most efficient commuter trike around. ELECTRA MECCANICA The solo has the following stats: 100 mile range for 16.1kWh battery pack 137 mph top speed 0-60 in 8 seconds 3hr charge time on 220V 128 NM of Torque with 82hp Keyless entry, power windows, backup camera, AC, Heater, Defogger, Heated seat and AM/FM Bluetooth/USB/CD Stereo MSRP $15,500 Electra Meccanica says for no added fee, you can choose from Raven Black, Arctic White, Titanium Silver or Electric Red. They have a customize your Solo build tool and the web site invites you to build your Solo, then reserve it with a $250.00 refundable deposit. If the single seat commuter is not enough, they are also offering the Tofino two seater which has a 250 mile range, $1,000 dollar refundable deposit starting at $50,000 with delivery also in 2019. So what do you think?

Gotta love History, on this day Jan 2nd 2009 a rare 1937 Bugatti Type 57S Atalante, one of only 17 built was found in a garage of a doctor who passed away. His family put it up for auction getting over $4.4 million for the car. Supercharged Inline 8 motor. 26,284 original miles according to the story. http://www.inticweb.com/top-stories/rare-1937-bugatti-type-57s-atalante-coupe-found-in-garage-998-2018/
