  1. Very cool and I am excited by what they might bring to the table. Sounds like the next Pony war might include Korea and some EV powered Pony Cars!
  2. Yup, I think it is supposed to be a 1990's SR5 Extra Cab with matching Canopy you have there. Very Cool, I can see these selling to Catholic and Mormon families. Thanks for the post as I like these. I hope GM rethinks making a truck like their 2008 Concept. I loved this looking truck!
  3. Wonder if that was supposed to be an early FJ concept? EDIT: On second thought, I think that is supposed to be a Custom Cab with a canopy on the back of the truck bed. Sure looks like the one I posted above. Found this cool Toyota Concept truck. Reminds me of the 80's
  4. 1980's Toyota Custom Cab Pickup were 3rd party built trucks with a sleep cab, much the way 3rd party Vans were built. Good History of Toyota here: http://www.tundraheadquarters.com/blog/toyota-50th-anniversary-a-brief-history-of-toyota-trucks/ But they do not comment on the Custom Cab pickup. Found out that Toyota had these built for them from a company in Oregon and shipped then throughout NA. CFM Custom Fab MFG of Oregon Inc. 5602 N. E. Skyport Way, Portland OR 97218 1-503-284-9195 Very interesting truck.
  5. Toyota Quality! TRD Style Frame Rot
  6. @balthazar Please confirm or correct me but it seems 1936 built by Chevy Coupe Pickups? Cool found a 1937 Terraplane Hudson Coupe Pickup. I can now see a Nod to the Past in building a CUV Pickup. Very cool!
  7. Weird, but all my searches for a Coupe Crew Cab Pickup keeps bringing me to these type of trucks. Anything but a Coupe Style I think, but still a cool old Ford Pickup that should be restored into a Rat rod or performance cool truck.
  8. Amazing video to watch, comments by the people watching this iced up overpass are funny. Latest chart on the top Gas Guzzlers sold in the US!
  9. Interior I am up in the air on and am thinking it could be the pictures, but have to wait to see it in person as to weather or not it is really as Grand as they claim. Exterior, this is one of the nicer CUVs they have built. I like the Brick traditional SUV shape.
  10. Kia has a partnership with GM for small cars, I have not had the time to chase down what all their partnership might involve, but if they have access to the Bolt underbody, it would make for a fast build to enter the EV market. If this assumption is just that ASSumption then I still think they are farther out and just using the specs of the BOLT to build a competitive CUV. Interesting times we live in my friendly little Cube!
  11. Kia and GM do have JV agreements in place and it is possible that we are not aware that Kia could use the Bolt platform after a year or so. Be interesting to see if we can find out if this is or just a really close clone as what is released so far makes is seem like just another Bolt EV.
  12. I think Kia is building this on the same BOLT platform as everything matches up. It will be good for the marketplace and I do like the SciFi design language.
  13. Any Idea who built this truck? Cool looking! Cool old truck, looks like they took the front end of a car and added a bucket to it. Liked the look of the 3/4 ton Studebaker Pickup.
  14. I honestly see no reason for the continued investment in Hydrogen producing electricity to drive an electric auto. The amount of energy needed to produce the hydrogen and then break it apart to produce electricity with only a water vapor is beyond common sense at this time. I honestly can only see a few of these being made for the LA market that has the only few Hydrogen fuel stations. I wonder how much government money is being spent to off set this research project?
  15. Agree, I am also scratching my head as to why have the Q8 so close in size to the Q7 and only 2 rows at that.
  16. XT5 comes in at: 189.5 inch length, 112.5 inch wheelbase, 75 inch width. Q8 comes in at: 197.64 inch length, 118.11 inch wheelbase, 80.32 inch width. Q7 comes in at: 199.6 inch length, 117.9 inch wheelbase, 77.5 inch width. So yes, you could say this is the next size up category but almost identical to the Q7 in size. Interesting
